@Brizaah, it came across as him being homophobic to me, sorry about that. But Alexander would probably be quite the frequent customer and there's a chance the two could talk of their forays considering Alexander himself can't really marry any of the people he's actually interested in, unlike Finnegan who simply doesn't want to. It would be interesting because Alexander could be like "well that one's nice" and Finnegan could give him a look and say "uh, no, he smells like he's two seconds away from sticking his hands in someone else's pockets and pilfering a few coins" and of course Alexander would give him a look and be like "he'd find a bit more than a few coins if he reached in my pockets" and Finnegan could easily be in on the "Alex-has-no-taste" bit, lol.

@Brizait is a real shame Finnegan is a tad homophobic--Alexander would have adored him otherwise. Alexander would watch him flirt and probably attempt to flirt with him, albeit a bit subtler in case. Though it's a running "joke" between him and Rowena that Alexander has terrible taste in men. He'd probably be frequenting the perfume shop (in school he was not quite as bold as he is now), and odds are Finnegan could smell that Alexander is attracted to him...but could also probably smell when Alexander gets turned off or put off. However, if Finnegan could push aside his dislike of gay men, they could be friends. Especially since Alexander is sharper than he looks and acts, and is not quite the "buffoon" Finnegan would perceive him to be based on appearances.

Most likely, yeah. Though Eddison is 8 so he's not going to know them at all. He'd just be marveled by the wings if they ever were to meet. Well, actually, now that you mention Lucius...Eudora might know more of her than she lets on. A thing ayz shared with me when I initially proposed the character includes her knowing where Lucius is being held (thanks to getting a favor out of her brother and father). Odds are she'd know a bit about that history and would therefore know a bit about they Greys' work with Victor and Lucius, yeah. But she again wouldn't actually have met Alys until the event Captain Kingsford calls them to.

True, but he'd be sensing the metal actually inside her body, and when removing weapons doesn't do the trick of getting rid of the metal feeling, he'd likely only then come to the conclusion of some form of automation. Mm...perhaps. At first her nonconformity might draw his attention, but after learning just how much of a killjoy stick-in-the-mud she is he'd likely become extremely disinterested in conversing with her further, seeing as he himself is filled with the charm and intensity of being she considers dishonesty.

If they have met her and it wasn't through an event like another minister's ball or something, it could easily be through her shop or her being a former member of the emergency response team. Her husband is likely a bit more caught up in other things (namely his own projects), though their sons might be curious about their projects, and the middle son Eddison would likely be very interested in her wings.

As far as plotting goes- Alexander most definitely would have noticed if she crashed a few classes he was in, and might have noticed her at a few cross-school functions (how he met Rowena). Given the reinforcement metal in her bones he likely would be suspicious of the way he feels metal in her presence, but would attempt to write it off as concealed weapons although he can just sense it's something more than that. Also, the year you have listed as her birth year 1) says 1974 instead of 1874, and 2) actually makes her only 18 at the start of the plot (1892). Technicalities aside (forgive me, details make me crazy). He'd definitely be perplexed by her.

As far as Eudora goes, most likely she doesn't think much of her at first unless she's met her at an event or another. She might have heard her husband mention Alys as an instructor at the Institute, and she might quietly think that it's admirable she'd do such a thing while also not being sure it's such a good idea ("men, after all, can be animals"). I'm...at a loss for what else to say atm lol rip me.

She hasn't done anything that would merit his attentions, nor am I sure they'd meet until/unless Captain Kingsford thought everyone should meet. However, the murder might have caught his attention briefly, though he would have brushed it aside as just another one of Madame Geraldine's girls doing what it is that they do best.

I can't say anything for my other character at the moment as she hasn't been accepted yet.

And besides—who else do you turn to when you need the perfect exploding cream puff or other decadent sweet? Of course there’s her skills in poison and knives, but she is much better at extracting information based on the accruing of favors, and her younger brother’s status on the police force and father’s position in the air navy bode as two very large sources of debt to her…and therefore good information.

Eudora May Vos, as she was born, grew up in a house ruled by military precision. A father in the air-navy appointed as a commander by the Admiralty ensured this. For the most part, she was confined to the nursery growing up, hence why her younger brother Gregory (six years her junior) absolutely adored her. He would get scrapes and bruises just to watch the amber sparks fly off her fingertips as she healed his wounds. Euramay, as her brother called her, would even paint his fingertips orange just to pretend to be doing the same with his tin soldiers as she did with him. Eventually their mother, Vivianne Vos, convinced their father to allow them out of the nursery, and Gregory gained other friends to mimic and to help him develop his own voice.

Eventually she went to Madame Geraldine’s and became incredibly close with the eventual Madame Geraldine herself, despite the now-headmistress being a few years Eudora’s senior. During what would end up being her absolute favorite class — Pastries: Poisonous and Projectile — there was a small accident. Eudora doesn’t remember the details, but she can remember hot oil and a small explosion before the pain in her right hand started. Someone was able to treat it before any terrible damage was done, but her hand and forearm were scarred that day. And yet, despite how most would be traumatized and refuse to try again, Eudora insisted upon perfecting the skills so no one not intended target(s) would be harmed. Her culinary skills became nearly unmatched following the event, but rather than sporting her scars or her story proudly, she makes sure to wear gloves whenever around others just to keep them from staring. Even lace will disguise those burns, after all.

Eudora became a member of the emergency response team two years after graduation as a skilled mera-healer. It was as a member of the team that she met Maxwell Chandler the night he lost three of his fingers. Maxwell never elaborated whether the removal of the fingers was an accident or if it was someone’s intention to harm him, but it didn’t matter to her. She fell in love with his more quiet and shy nature, and he with her desire to help others even if her education gave her the ability to harm them, too. They bonded over their bad right hands and somewhat macabre humor, and eventually married when she was 26 and he 31.

Two years later they had their first son, Kipling. Three years after Kipling’s birth, Maxwell was selected to become Minister of the Craftsmen guild and yet little of their personal life has changed, if only given access to higher circles in addition to remaining with some of their old ones for some of the friendships. Upon becoming Minister, Maxwell asked Eudora to end her service in the emergency response team so she could be better able to host and perform her social duties as his Lady, and she agreed. It gave her time to be with her son, and allowed them to expand the family further. A year after their status change they had their second son Eddison. Two years after Eddison came their third son, Leopold.

Eudora now runs a small apothecary shop just as her husband still does his work with glass blowing and mechanics, if only because they want something to do with their time. She is happy to be helping others, and perhaps her shop sells a few things other than medicine and healing remedies. She is, of course, also racking up quite the list of favors owed to her by doing favors for others. But how else is she supposed to make use of her schooling?

Oh dear.

No one expects the Alexander Damien Amidale to have a sob story. But no one expects him to have rearranged his name.

Born Damien Alexander Amidale, at the age of five he witnessed the murder of his mother and gained his very first secret. His father was the killer, and in order to make sure his son kept the secret he began a campaign of abuse. Cutting his blond hair short and forcing him to work like the servants, Mr. Amidale used every tactic he could to destroy his son: whippings, burnings, brandings, even sexual abuse. Of course, Damien quickly found out he was a homosexual, which only angered his father more, and he began to try to correct his son's perversion in addition to the rest of the abuse. When nothing seemed to work, Mr. Amidale settled with the abuse as a means to dissuade him from engaging in sexual behaviors of any kind.

By the time Alexander was fifteen, his body was covered in scars, and it was with a heavy heart that he buried his father that same rainy day. The moment the abuser was dead, the boy rearranged his name to Alexander Damien, and vowed that no one would know who his parents really were. The only reason Mr. Amidale was known was because of his factory, which Alexander inherited. However, the son made sure people thought of him when they thought of the Amidale name, not his father (hence how he managed to essentially erase his father from most people’s memory, by making himself bigger and better than him). This became his primary source of income, and with Alexander at the helm the factory saw even greater success and even better production. Children were no longer allowed to work with the machines, instead doing safer tasks that didn't make them feel more subservient, employees were paid livable wages, and changes were made to make working conditions safer. Production increased, and he made more money than his father ever did.

He went to school, honing his skills and learning how to not just survive but thrive in a world he could corrupt. Strangely enough, however, Alexander had little interest in corruption, merely in people's secrets to better bury his own. And yet, he was so good at lying and acting and being charming that everyone believed what he wanted them to. Within time, the Alexander Amidale he wanted the world to know was formed, complete with trademark long blond hair to not only distract but to be a reminder to himself that he was a servant no more. He was the master of his life, the only one in control of his fate, and with that he outwardly flourished.

He went about making himself known to everyone, which many said made him a terrible spy, but he would merely laugh them off. No one knew who his spies were except for himself, and that was what made his persona effective. He showed the world one thing, but was truly something else underneath. Not even his closest friend, Rowena Imperia-Airwright, knew the real Alexander Damien Amidale. True, she was the only person outside select members of his house staff that saw a part of his softer side, but not even she knew who he truly was. The only person whose secrets she couldn't steal were Alexander's (if only because she promised not to read his mind without expressed permission, just as he promised not to delve into her own past), and he vowed to keep it that way (by of course not thinking of his past around her, if he can help it).

Damien Alexander Amidale was just as dead as Mr. Amidale. Alexander Damien Amidale was the only one to exist, and between the masquerades he held, the money he spend and made, his factory's watches and clocks, and his schooling, what evidence was there in order to believe otherwise?

- chronic pain - due to his past, he is usually in some level of pain thanks to nerve damage, typically in his lower back and hips; it's usually fairly low and ignorable, but there are times where it's crippling and the only way it goes away is through a long, hot bath with oils and scents; when he has one of his bad days he is more irritable, moves more stiffly, leans more on the cane he carries, and tends to stay home and work on his “pet projects,” as he calls them (the little clockwork toys and gadgets), and thus lets his physical appearance go (and may sometimes employ the use of a wheelchair, though this is quite rare and fills him with shame); Rowena is aware of some of this pain, but is under the impression that it is from an illness during his childhood

Mini-bio:
Elric has been in the service of the Amidales since birth. Born a maid's son, he grew up learning to serve. Despite his lack of status, he was a gentleman first, a Legionnaire second. He served in the air-navy for eighteen years before returning to the Amidales at the age of 38 due to injury, just in time for the birth of young Damien. His devotion to the family despite the former Mr. Amidale's disagreeable nature led him to becoming head butler and ultimately Alexander's chief of staff as the closest thing the man has to a true father. While Mr. Amidale tortured and abused young Damien, Elric cared for the boy and helped him nurse his wounds. His loyalty to the family made the cruel Mr. Amidale hesitant to harm the man, which let him get away with taking care of young Damien.
Additional Information:
--- He is known to spend much of the night working on small things (cleaning, polishing silverware, sorting correspondence, checking clocks, that sort of stuff), and wakes early in the morning to resume his work as well as to eat before Alexander. When Alexander eats lunch, he takes a nap, but otherwise gets between four and six hours of sleep a day. He claims he does not tire as much due to his being former air-navy, but both he and Alexander know that Elric simply hates being idle and useless when there is much he could be doing to help the staff.
--- Whenever Alexander is home, Elric is always close by, if not in the same room, mostly for the sake of his health.
--- He loves children, and was once married with two daughters and a son. However, his wife died of a suspicious illness, and his children soon followed. He believes this was the way Mr. Amidale got back at him for aiding young Damien. His son was seven, and his daughters eleven and twelve when they died. He and his wife were forty-two at the time of her death. All passed within a span of two and a half years, leaving him alone.
