The Setup:
Hello everyone, here I am to tell you about an exciting new school to come to!
Orion Academy!
The most exclusive of exclusive academies that one could possibly attend within the United States!
How does one get into Orion Academy you may ask? Well the answer is simple!
One must be of the highest of potential and abilities in their field: a true Super High School Level student! Then and only then is a teenager allowed to enter the prestigious academy!
BUT!
What was once a bright, wonderful school filled with the future leaders of tomorrow in their fields is now going to be nothing but a place of despair!
What do you bastards wonder what I mean by that?
It’s simple! The entire school is sealed shut from any contact from the outside world! Steel plates on all the windows and absolutely no way out! You’re all stuck with nothing to do about it!
Oh, you’re all scared now? You all want to know how to get out? Well… I guess I can tell you.
You have to graduate from Orion Academy!
But this isn’t no normal graduation, oh no. There are no paper diplomas to hand out, and you certainly won’t be shaking hands with me!
The rule of Graduation here at Orion Academy is simple…
You have to kill one of your fellow classmates.
Well, I should say you have to kill one of your fellow classmates and not get caught. You see, after a murder, everyone still alive goes to a school trial, and you bastards have to figure out and vote on who committed the murder!
If you all select the right person, that person alone is executed, and you all live to see the next day within Orion Academy.
If you all pick wrong? Then the REAL murderer gets to leave Orion Academy alone, and everyone else is murdered!
So go on, get to the murdering!
The Explanation:
Alright, now that you all have that little bit of flavor and flair, let me sort of break down everything a bit more and hopefully make things more clear.
So, as said, the RP (inspired by the game Dangan Ronpa!) I’m planning is going to take place at the prestigious private high school Orion Academy. Every character who’s there (students only, the ones who are trapped in the school), each have a special talent with which they’re at the top of their field (for example, a Super High School Level Singer would be an incredibly great singer).
All of the Orion Academy students are trapped by Monobear and are forced to kill each other if they hope to try and escape.
Of course, there’s a Mastermind controlling Monobear’s words and actions, but who are they? Well, that’s a mystery to be found out.
As described above, the rule of “Graduation” is simple: to get out, you have to murder one of your fellow classmates. After a body is discovered by three people, the students have time to examine the crime scene in hopes of finding the perpetrator. After that, they all have a school trial, in which they argue and try to deduce who the real culprit was. At the end of discussions, they all have a vote: if they get the right person, then that killer alone is executed, and the rest manage to live. But if they get it wrong, everyone but the killer is killed, and the killer is allowed to escape from Orion Academy having fooled their classmates.
For how the murders will work: when someone decides that they want to kill someone, they will message me with who they want to kill and then from there the two people will be allowed to roleplay out the murder between themselves.
Of course, this is mostly an idea I have for how the murders will work, if anyone has suggestions or ideas, I’m definitely up for hearing them!
And as another note, this does mean that character death will be happening throughout the RP! If you do not want your character to potentially die, then that’s just a fair warning, because there will definitely be plenty of death in these school hallways~
So for the private RP’s, those can be at an M-rating (of course, make sure to stay within what I’m sure people would assume are common limits) and the main thread itself will be PG-13.
And as an extra note, during the lulls between murders, this will definitely be very heavily focused on interaction between characters!
The Character Template:
Name:
Super High School Level Talent:
Appearance:
Personality:
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy):
The Rules for the RP:
1. Keep everything PG-13 in the main thread, and up to M in the private RP's.
2. When the private murder RP's are concluded, please send them to me via PM (the private murder RP's are to take place via PM as well).
3. Please message me before committing a murder so that way we don't have ten different murder plots trying to occur at the same time. Once I approve your murder, then make sure you include me in the PM's so I can see how everything goes and can run the trial effectively.
4. After each school trial, no murders immediately after so we aren't dealing with constant murders (character interaction and development is going to be a big part of this RP!)
5. No OOC hate for anyone participating, and if any type of hate gets too much in character, I will give a warning. Respect is an absolute necessity, even in a school of mutual killing.
6. Input is appreciated, but in the end, my word is final.
7. A limit of 2-3 characters in this RP.
8. Absolutely no metagaming or powergaming. When someone is murdered, your character shouldn't be able to instantly know who did it. Nor should they know who the mastermind is or who Monobear is, etc.
Our cast is as follows!
Name: Fyodor “Fedya” Nikolayevich Vasnetsov
Super High School Level Talent: Liar / Con artist
Appearance:
Personality: It’s clear from the very first minutes spent with the guy that he’s very positive and talkative - sometimes obnoxiously so. He’s always smiling and socializing whenever he can find time for it, and none of his friends can ever remember a time when he would’ve frowned or gotten mad. He’s generally friendly and loves to tell stories “about his own life” (or so he claims). His tales are always very obviously fake however, as is clear from their high and mighty, exaggerated nature. Fedya especially loves to tell tales where he has either killed or gotten killed, and refuses to answer questions on how he can still be alive if he dies at the end of every other story. Not that he ever answers any questions in general; he hates telling things about himself and dislikes nosiness (even if he's very nosy himself) even if it doesn’t really show from past his perpetual smile. He doesn’t fret the small stuff - or the big stuff, for that matter, and is known not to like overly serious people.
Despite being friendly though, Fedya’s pretty insensitive; he can’t read the mood, and can make the rudest and most inappropriate comments and jokes in completely wrong places, figuring it’s alright if he just adds an “Just kidding!” at the end. He can’t sit still for long and his mood is very fickle; he can change the target of his interest in a flash, going from talking to someone to admiring a nearby vase. Similarly, he could be complimenting you one moment - and then talking you down the next. And if you get mad? Well, he was “just kidding!”
Like his SHSL title suggests, Fedya is a liar. Surprisingly however, he is very open about his title and doesn’t try to claim that he's telling the truth all time. In fact, he’s quick to reveal the whole deal even without anyone asking, because it actually helps him a great deal when tricking people. Due to his title, many suspect most of the things he says to be lies, but that’s actually not true; he doesn’t lie about everything, and does sometimes slip truths in between all his jokes, exaggerations and tricks. They’re just very hard - and often pretty much impossible - to detect. So in a way, you could say he doesn't hide his title - rather, he hides behind it.
Probably as a side effect from being so untrustworthy himself, Fedya doesn’t trust people. He isn’t paranoid, nor does he feel contempt towards others for their perceived dishonesty, he just believes that every single person in the world is a big fat liar, and that the only differences people have in that regard are whether they admit it to lying or not and how well they manage to pull it off. According to him, there is no single truth for the simple reason that every person sees things differently, and twists events to suit their own beliefs and perceptions. And, you know, there’s nothing wrong with that! Truth isn't all it's made out to be anyway. Some things are better left... simply untold.
Biography: Fedya was an incredibly clumsy kid.
He was also a very, very timid one
So when he constantly broke his parents’ things on accident, he could never man up and admit to it. He always said it was someone else. He blamed the cat, the maid, the neighbours, and somehow he always ended up getting out of trouble. Perhaps it was him being charismatic from the start, or perhaps it was just his parents truly trusting their kid; nobody knows nor has cared to find out. The bottom line was that lying always got young Fedya out of trouble and kept him from having to tell the truth.
The same thing continued all the way to high school. See, Fedya always liked toys, especially stuffed ones. He adored them to the point he collected shelf-fulls of them. Unfortunately, that was not something his classmates considered cool, so he could never tell anyone about his passion. So he lied. And it worked wonders once more. And, as he grew up, he started to believe his own lies and ended up abandoning his plushies, moving onto adoring masks instead. They became his new passion, and he started to collect them instead. They were wonderful. Powerful. They helped him deal with certain problems he was faced with around that time.
Fedya kept lying as he grew, but he always felt bad for it. He always wanted to tell the truth, and attempted to do it whenever possible. It was then that something happened that put a temporary end to his cycle of lying. Something he couldn’t bear the weight of alone. Something he had to tell about to someone. And he did - he told about it to his girlfriend. She broke up with him and he never saw her again. He told about it to his parents and he got his ass kicked for it. He got reprimanded by his parents, who had always told him to do his best at being true and honest, parents who had, without knowing, kept him in check by making him feel slightly guilty whenever he lied. Parents who now... wished they hadn’t heard what he told them. Parents who wished he had lied.
After that, he never felt guilty for lying ever again. In fact, he started to purposefully better himself at it. He became a con artist, an able and talented swindler who never walked out of a poker match without his money, who never failed to take what he wanted from a victim of his scam. He never did it for the money though; no, he had another, much bigger and more difficult cause urging him on.
He received his invitation to the school one night during a poker match and stood up from the table at once. A school for the gifted sounded like a place where he could get some answers to some of the bigger questions he had, and like a place where he could test out his skills.
It sounded almost too good to be true.
Name: Serena Bellerose
Real Name: Annie Ross
Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level Princess
Real Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level Forger
Appearance: Serena has jet black hair that she either keeps straight and long or in one long French braid that generally goes to mid-length of her back with no bangs. Her skin is not too fair, not too tan, and she has green eyes. She’s a girl of about 5’3” and slender in physique. She’s usually seen in very elaborate clothes befitting a princess like herself, however, at Orion Academy, she decides to take a much more casual—yet still elegant and modest—route to how she looks. A dark purple just short of knee-length skirt, black dress shoes and white knee socks, and a dark purple blouse that goes just past her elbows. However, the most defining part of her outfit is her tiara that never leaves her head. The tiara is a bright silver, adorned with all sorts of gems and jewels.
Personality: Despite being a royal princess, Serena isn’t exactly princess-ly in personality. She’s very meek and quiet, and very nervous to be around people, in a way. People that she’s used to she has an easier time socializing with—though not by much. She’s very paranoid and very panicky, and apologizes a lot, though she tries to hide her inherent paranoia as much as she possibly can. There are rare outbursts she has where she seems very commanding and more authoritative, but those moments are far and few in between and generally stem from her panicking so much.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): Serena comes from a small country in Western Europe that she says most people aren’t good enough to know about, Serena was raised as the crown princess of the kingdom, planned to take the throne when she becomes of age. Raised almost exclusively in the castle, Serena hasn’t been around many, if any kids her age, and as such, is incredibly not used to socializing with anyone but members of the royal family and workers. She was brought up with the finest education in her country, and upon not only seeing her talents in academics, but also about her being the crown princess to her country, Orion Academy quickly showed their interest in bringing her to the school. She ended up flying off to the United States, quickly enrolling in Orion Academy as a Super High School Level Princess.*
Edit: For reference, the knowledge of Serena's real name/talent are only to be known in an OOC capacity, as she's changed her identity, and as such, won't be known until it may be actually revealed in character.

Name: Morgan Oakley
Super High School Level Talent: Magician
Appearance: Yeah, Dream selfy, I know... As a note, M's got a slender chest and decent-sized hips, further contributing to M's androgyny.
Personality: Who is he? Where did she come from? No one knows! Morgan's intentionally cultivated an aura of mystery around herself, down to his biological gender. M uses both male and female pronouns, along with whatever other pronoun can be used, and also considers 'M' a viable alternative. That said, this aura of mystery has led to the impression of a person who is sunny, cheery, and amazingly shallow, an impression M does nothing to correct. M is quite keen to show off rather complex card tricks (with the claim that the school is ill-suited for more impressive shows) or play with her glass eye. M does at least seem to respect others' requests to rein in his tricks, albeit grumpily.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): While M's intentionally cultivated an air of mystery, it is possible to trace her origins to a small town in California, working as an assistant to a failing stage magician named 'L'Enchante'. One night, L'Enchante didn't show up for work. Even as a poor magician, the lounge still needed an act to entertain its customers. Thus Morgan 'le Faye' took to the stage at a mere 8 years of age and proved himself to be superior to L'Enchante. Even when L'Enchante returned the next week, it was Morgan the club sent onstage, and M put forth an even better performance than before. Within a year, people were lining up to see Morgan's show, trying to determine how M was able to craft her illusions that weaved among the tables and drew blood from him. One show at the age of 10 cost Morgan an eye through uncertain means (even reviewing pictures and video gives few clues), though M simply began working the glass eye and occasional eyepatch into her act. Nothing seemed able to set M back as M advanced by leaps and bounds and so, naturally, this eventually led to a call from Orion Academy.
Name: Octavia Arterbury
Super High School Level Talent: Violinist
Appearance: Shhh ignore the glowy bits and wings.
Personality: Octavia has a hard time opening up to people - mostly because she's unable to speak. That slight problem out of the way, she loves being around people and will generally put on performances at request. She has a fondness for the pop charts and a talent to be able to play a song after hearing it once. She has a very bad habit of keeping her violin bow out and using it like a pointer, even though she's admitted (through writing) that such actions are likely to lead to a broken bow someday. She assumes most people like her because of her playing, and she's actually alright with that. After all, as far as she's concerned, this means she'll always have a friend or two as long as she can play, and she derives such joy from her violin she could never think of stopping.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): Octavia was born mute, which made her parents terrified. Why was she mute? How would they be able to keep her safe if they couldn't hear her? Despite doctors' best efforts to calm the new parents, they chose instead to switch jobs so they could work at home and watch over her. This admittedly made her early years difficult and resulted in her being under near-constant surveillance. She was only alone when she slept, used the bathroom, or changed clothes. Worst for her was her inability to communicate back clearly. She was still too young to write or draw well, but she was more often than not irritated by the inability to be left alone and she could not get her parents to understand that. In kindergarten, she learned some writing skills though, as far as she was concerned, she was still unable to communicate because she needed to make her parents read her words instead of simply hovering over her shoulder.
When her first-grade class first got to play with toy instruments, she fell in love immediately and actually stole a slide whistle to play. It was discovered when she used the slide whistle at home to get her mother's attention to get a glass of water. In that moment, a breakthrough was made. The toy was returned to the school, and her parents ended up letting her pick an instrument of her own to have, with promises of a tutor so she could learn to play it well. She ended up selecting the violin, deeming it as the most pleasing to her ears, and began her musical career without any idea as to the true level of her ability. Once her tutor taught her the basics, Octavia managed to advance even ahead of him in a matter of weeks. By the age of 13, she was playing in concert halls: classical arrangements, modern hits, and everything in between. It was only natural she eventually got the attention of Orion Academy. After much waffling - she loved the attention she already got after all - she decided to attend.
Name: Karyl delle Campane
Super High School Level Talent: Ballet Dancing
Appearance: From one of the productions she participated in. Her hair is black, her eyes green, and her skin dark in color.
Personality: Karyl is very much concerned with staying on top of things. Her training, her weight, other people - if she can keep it in control, she will, and she'll do it by whatever means she can. She mostly has a very pleasant demeanor, choosing to use diplomacy to solve most problems, but she's also decent at reading people and manipulating them to get her way. She can a bit of a micromanager, though only when she believes she can make the situation work to her advantage. If not, she generally won't expend the energy. She can provide warmth if it can get people to act how she wants, but more often than not, she is aloof and distant even in casual conversation, acting fairly haughty. She enjoys music and supposedly grew up on classical albums.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): Her parents enrolled her into ballet classes at the age of 4, hoping that an early start would lead to the development of amazing talent. They weren't entirely wrong; Karyl proved to be a very quick learner, with enough grace and flexibility to perform what were considered 'advanced' moves. However, with this talent came the fact that the academy proved to be, in Karyl's eyes, second-rate. After all, the teachers rarely started classes on time and seemed uninterested in teaching anything but the basics - even her advanced moves weren't all that tricky, frankly. She knew she could do better, but not stuck in that environment. Staying would mean boredom and disinterest. After a few years, she began taking matters into her own hands regarding her education and rapidly outclassed the higher-level students and could compete with the teachers, none of whom enjoyed this new facet of their star pupil. When her parents realized the development of her growth thanks to a call home with an explanation for why she wasn't allowed back, they took her to learn elsewhere. In the end, they ended up hiring a member of a ballet company to teach her further. By 12, she was participating in a professional ballet company and had performed in a production of La Bayadère. She didn't find it unusual when Orion Academy contacted her.
Name: Lucas Archwood
Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level ???
Super High School Level Talent For Realz This Time: N/A, or "Super High School Level Faker" if you wish.
Appearance:
Personality: Lucas doesn't really think of life as having any real meaning to it. Not in the sense that he can kill people with no remorse, but more in the sense that there's no such thing as Fate's master plan going on behind the scenes. Rather then use this belief of his to be an asshole who doesn't care about other people, he uses it as a reason to be a decent human being and cherish every moment of his life. Sure, he knows how pessimistic and unfair the world really is, but he's chosen his own set of values to make meaning out of and sticks to them, no matter how pointless, impractical, and non-rewarding doing so would be. After all, if we're all gonna die why not give as many people the warm and fuzzies while we're at it?
Demeanor-wise, Lucas tends to act like one would expect of a person with his type of worldview. He's friendly enough and quite serene and relaxed because he believes he's got all his crap together, he can be a bit too lax, too quick to forgive and forget which tends to lead to disappointment and frustration (or death) when people would choose to exploit this. Furthermore, while there's not really evil or particularly dickish to people he meets, there's something that's pretty off about him. He doesn't know why himself, but he doesn't think that he's on the 'same level' as the rest, and not in the positive, 'I'm better than you' way. More the 'I can't help feel that I'll never be able to catch up ever' sort of way. He also has this tendency to help people out no matter how inconvenient it would be for him. All these factors, plus his lack of concern about dying since 'just living is enough', makes for a very volatile combination
Biography: An unexceptional existence with no significance to the world. A student with no true skill or renown. A fictional Super Highschooler. A faker.
Lucas Archwood isn't a proper Super Highschooler in the sense of other students. His 'true identity' is nothing impressive at all, just an average individual who had been drifting through his whole life with no meaning, no personal drive nor reason to go on yet still trudging through despite it all. All things considered, had things not turned out as they had, this particular young man would continue on that road of averageness. However, one day he got a letter in the mail speaking of his acceptance there. He was nothing but a nameless student with a connection to the town where the story of the 'famous' Lucas Archwood took place, yet he was chosen to 'become' that person by the academy. How could such a renowned academy make such a glaring mistake as choosing an average, unassuming student to act in place of a true Super Highschooler? Simple:
The original Lucas Archwood never existed in the first place.
Lucas Archwood was an invention, a blend of details from the lives of many nameless and forgotten child prodigies who had achieved great things. The fictional Lucas was a boy without any real identity, his birth is unknown, and his story was only told through world of mouth. His past was falsely forged, and while it was likely there actually existed someone with the name Lucas Archwood and several similar others who did the achievements he was attributed, by the time his registration came around, their names had been forgotten and achievements blended together to create the false existence known as "Lucas Archwood"
Name: Edie Jensen
Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level Waitress
Appearance: Edie has semi-bright orange dyed hair that goes to just above her shoulder with bangs. She has a slight tan from the occasional waitressing outside, but is still rather fair in skin complexion. She has brown eyes, and is about 5’6.5” in height, and, though a bit slim, definitely has her fair share of tone from running around so much and carrying all sorts of heavy plates and dishes around the restaurant. Her outfit consists of a black shirt, black pants with a small white half apron that goes from her waist to just above her knees that she uses to carry her notepad for orders. She also wears simple white knee high scoks andblack sneakers. She also has a fair smattering of bandages from burns or accidental scrapes/cuts.
Personality: Upbeat and energetic are probably the two best descriptors for Edie. She’s friendly and sociable to a fault, whether with customers, friends, family, or even strangers. Edie also has an incredibly strong memory, which has only strengthened from years of memorizing orders. Although she’s very nice and knows that the customer is right, she does her best to avoid this leading into abuse over nothing, and isn’t afraid to kick out someone if they’re being too much of a jerk or being too rambunctious. She’s also good at idle chatter when she needs to be too, as chatting with her customers has been a big part of the job she’s had for a big portion of her life, and is an incredibly hard worker.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): Edie was born to a simple family, whose only real note was that her parents owned a very renowned restaurant in the town they lived in. However, despite the popularity of the restaurant, it was a bit hard for the family to make ends meet, and as such, ever since she was young, Edie would have to help out at the restaurant after school. At first it was just getting drinks or counting change, but by the time she was 8, she was quickly drafted into being a waitress, or at the least, it being tested out by her parents to see how she could do. And surprisingly enough, she did great at it. Her parents were rather surprised by her ability to do so good, and she liked it and thought it was fun. She kept doing her job every afternoon happily, and by the time she was 12, she was the only waitress at the restaurant—and everything still went smoothly.
She kept up her life of school and working, and by the time she was ready to go to high school, she received a letter to attend Orion Academy—as a Super High School Level Waitress. Although she was a bit nervous to try and accept it, afraid her parents would need her too much to leave, they insisted that she accept, and accept she did, leaving her family and restaurant to attend Orion Academy just as they wanted.
Name: Astolfo Garneau
Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level Gamer
Appearance:
Personality: Astolfo is frighteningly outgoing, prone to saying too much and having his conversations drift on towards the realm of 'maximum social awkwardness', despite no ill intent on his part. He has this odd habit of popping up in the most random places and often gets himself mixed up stupid shenanigans as a result. All things considered, he's a bit of an airhead. Optimistic and well meaning, but still definitely a space case all things considered. However, this makes it quite surprising when his wide range of experiences in video games gives him an astounding knowledge of general subjects. Unfortunately, this benefit gets looped back around since his way of communicating the points is... less than astounding, since it's usually phrased as something similar to 'that's how it works in games'. Incidentally, concerning his talents, he isn't actually ambitious at all, quite lackadaisical in his efforts actually, not doing things for a particular reason, just 'because he could'.
Biography: Astolfo was the son of the CEO of a big name video game development studio, and as such, knew about the existence of these wonderful contraptions from a very young age. Furthermore, due to the constant flights around the world for conventions and other such things, the then young boy had plenty of time to kill playing games. He spent much of his life simply trying to figure out the best method to get both 100% completion and multiplayer top scores in all the games he played, and although he realized the goal was nearly, if not actually, impossible for a human, he figured he really had nothing else important to do and kept on playing his games. However, this doesn't mean he was the anti-social, sleep deprived, or physically inept stereotype. Quite the opposite actually, he made plenty of friends, got his eight hours, and spent at least thirty minutes each day on the treadmill positioned in front of his TV. Eventually, he'd receive an invitation to Orion Academy, and that was when he realized he'd done it. While determination is normally the key to success, he simply noticed that he had succeeded in the first place.
Name: Dieter Brauer
Super High School Level Talent: Torture Specialist
Appearance: Small, slender, seemingly frail and often found sitting in the corner by himself, most likely painting flowers and butterflies, many often think they misheard his title when first laying their eyes on him. He looks a lot younger than he is as well, partly because of his larger than usual eyes, somewhat round cheeks and small, a bit feminine frame. He has sleek, blond hair, bangs parted neatly to the left and often covered by a hat of some sort - most often a beanbag one with lots of pins and decorations. His eyes are dark blue and seem to carry the look of a deer caught in headlights more often than not, especially when surrounded by people.
Despite what it looks like, Dieter actually does have enough physical power to carry around a bit heavier equipment and the like. He's probably still the weakest guy in any given group, but not completely useless. He gets bruised easily, though, so after his "shows of power" he's most likely going to have sore arms for a while. Still, he's very quick on his legs, so he does have that going on for him.
Clothing-wise, Dieter likes big, bright hoodies with sleeves longer than his hands, ideally equipped with a lot of hidden pockets for him to store stuff in. He doesn't really care what he wears on his feet, just a pair of random jeans and sneakers does fine in most situations. He also carries around multiple pairs of different gloves, often strapped to his hoodie somehow.
Personality: Usually quiet and seemingly timid, he's the guy to just quietly follow along with others' opinions and plans, rarely voicing his own wishes out of fear that people might yell or laugh at him. He doesn't handle criticism or teasing that well, after all. Indeed, not only does he not look the part of a professional torturer, he doesn't act like it, either. He likes people, but finds talking to them difficult, and as such he never initiates a conversation, just hopes that at some point, people would notice and come say hi to him as well. He gets really excited when talked to and is very often all-smiles when interacting with others, even if he is shaking constantly and messing up with his words out of nervousness. He looks the type to shatter if you touch him or scare him, and surely enough, unprovoked physical contact will most likely send the guy into a fit of panic - which may or may not end in him running into things and injuring himself. Dieter can be naive as well, not understanding sarcasm or innuendo that well and often opting to just laugh nervously when faced with topics he knows nothing about. Needless to say, this has led to a lot of bullying in the past. Strangely enough, bullies usually aren't on his back for more than a few days, however...
Still, there are things that clearly point to Dieter being more than just a meek kid out to hide from the entire world; if you engage him in conversation and give him free reign, you might end up hearing the strangest things come out of this kid's mouth. He has no problem talking about explicit torture or death, and he never blinks an eye doing it. He's also knowledgeable; ask him how many ways he knows to kill a man, and he will ask how many days you have to listen - and if, as a bonus, you would also like to hear as many ways to leave a man alive but wishing they were dead. Blood and injuries do nothing to faze him, and he will not understand if you back away from a particularly gaping wound someone got or shudder at the sight of a corpse. In fact, he will think of you as mean and rude to treat a fellow human that way. Yes, his demeanor changes remarkably when he's talking about his work or things relating to it, and gone is the shyness in an instant - only to return after he's done, most likely accompanied with confusion if you look at him funny.
Dieter also absolutely adores cute things, and once again, if presented with something cute enough, he will forget his shyness for a minute and run up to hug and squee the cute object or animal in question. He's very artistic as well, and loves to paint - often happy pictures with lots of pastel colors. He doesn't really like to share his works with others though. On an unrelated note, Dieter also cries somewhat easily. He's... a bit too sentimental for his own good sometimes, which an prove annoying to the people around him. He's aware of this and often tries to control his sobbing fits, reducing them to just silent tears and quiet mumblings.
Lastly, Dieter absolutely doesn't like people assuming that just because he happens to specialize in torture, that he would be a particularly cruel or sadistic person, or engage in violent acts on his free time (thankfully, due to his appearances, such assumptions aren't all that common.) He likes helping people whenever he can and is generally friendly, he just happens to have a gruesome job. But in the end it's just work for him and he holds the same passion towards it as people would over sports or medicine, but it doesn't mean he's out to get everyone for his own enjoyment.
Maybe.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): He was born to a pair of medical practitioners, namely a surgeon and a forensic pathologist and as such from a very young age, he was exposed to the field of medicine. His parents would leave their research books and findings on the kitchen table or forget to turn off their computer when taking a bathroom break, and young Dieter often sneaked to take peeks at their study material - which sometimes included corpses. His parents knew nothing of this, however, they did know how hard a doctor's life can be both physically and especially mentally, so they didn't want Dieter to take after them. So, whenever he expressed interest in their job, they told him no. They had noticed the boy liked to draw, and thus encouraged him to focus on that. Kids should play, not hurt their head with difficult and often gruesome research material. Unfortunately, what his parents didn't realize that forbidding a kid something makes it that much more interesting to them. As such, Dieter would make it a habit to sneak into the family's library every night to read and - even before he could read - look at pictures. It was all very fascinating to him, even more so because he couldn't understand any of it. Not without testing it out.
So, he set up his own "doctor's clinic" for his friends to try and test some of the things he'd learnt on them. Nothing too serious or life-threatening, of course. Just simple kids' fun - well, most of the time. That's where his career began. Career that, through relatives, connections, years of practice and a series of certain events, led to him working for the government as an interrogator or, as he's come to be known as, torture specialist.
The decision to come attend Orion's academy was made solely by Dieter himself, as he rather missed school, having had to drop out some years prior due to his career choice.
Name: Elend Carrol
Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level Scientist
Appearance:
Personality: Elend, or just "El", has the backbone of a jellyfish after it's been washed up on the beach for the batter part of a week. Sure, his brain works on an inhuman level when he's found himself a lab coat, but that does him a whole lot of good when he's stammering on and worrying about how stupid and useless he is. Seriously kid, grow a pair! He's constantly undervaluing himself, and he should seriously think about talking to someone about his self esteem problems. Any situation that involves girls makes him extremely uncomfortable, even more than normal. Occasionally he kind of zones out when he's thinking hard about something or working on something. It's much easier to talk to him when he's like this, as he'll talk normally and answer questions without realizing that he's actually carrying on a conversation with another living person, but the second he snaps out of it he goes back to being his normal, shy and nervous self.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): Elend doesn't know who his real parents are, only that they put him up for adoption before he was born. His foster family is nice enough though. And hey, he got a cute little sister out of the whole deal, so there isn't much else he can complain about. He felt the need to earn his place in his family, which he tried to do by being the best in school. That didn't work out. El couldn't pass gym if his life depended on it, can't write anything worth reading, and don't even get him started on the whole art fiasco. The only two things he was good at was science and math. He's not the most well-rounded sort of guy. Bullies have always seen El as a free meal, which he really is. It's not like he was going to fight back or anything. During high school his life took a sudden turn for the positive when he met Abby. By some impossible miracle, the two of them hit it off right away. Cassie, El's little sister, had to pay him that fifty bucks from when she'd bet that he'd never get a girlfriend a lot sooner than she'd been hoping. El had actually had to bring Abby home on three separate occasions before Cas finally believed him. He never did stop to wonder about all of his bullies disappearing the same time he met Abby. For the first time in his life, Elend was completely content with his place. Maybe he'll see them again?
Name: Iris Bradley
Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level Despair
Appearance: Iris has pale white skin and long platinum blonde hair, contrasted by some minor black roots from her dying her hair and big, dark brown eyes. She’s a rather diminutive looking girl as well, being a bit on the short side and on the skinny side. Her usual outfit is a black power suit with a white dress shirt and black dress shoes, as well as a skinny black tie.
Personality: Much like her title, Iris is quite the despairing young lady. However, her despair more manifests itself in a manner of pessimism and realism than anything else. She’s not a girl for whimsy in the slightest, much unlike many girls (or even many people in general) her age. She’s quite serious, though of course, this is paired with quite a bit of general sadness and moping at times. Her despair is not one of malice, but of sadness. Despair is all Iris has really known, as such she doesn’t like it or dislike it, it is just who she is.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): From birth, Iris was said to always have a strange aura about her. It was something her parents felt like they could never quite explain, though her mother tried to claim it as her just being a grounding force for the family—what they didn’t know was that it was just a part of her talent that wouldn’t truly be known about for a good number of years. As she grew up, even as a toddler, Iris felt, well, nothing. At least, that was the best way she could describe it as a kid, in reality she just didn’t feel happiness. Sadness, yes, despair, yes, but nothing related to happiness or other emotions filled Iris at all.
Of course, being grounded n despair, pessimism, and realism simply led to Iris becoming more effective in daily affairs. Her thoughts were focused on what mattered, not whimsy or anything else, and as such, had her becoming very focused and strong in academics. There was also the fact that her despair had a bit of a despairing/grounding effect on others around her, she would bring them down a bit, and though she wasn’t the biggest fan of that, she couldn’t help it—she couldn’t help any of her despair. Of course, Orion Academy caught wind of Iris in two ways: her academics record, and her strange penchant for despair. As such, she was quickly accepted into the school, and started to attend as Super High School Level Despair, a title that she feels rather unsure about, as accurate as it may be.
Name: Silas von Wainright
Super High School Level Talent: Artist
Appearance:
Personality: Silas is a very weird guy, although he is the best artist of his school, people never took him serious. This is because he also never can act serious, well, he mostly doesn't show that side. As if it is another personality. He has a huge food obsession, mostly for the sweet stuff. He even used food in some of his paintings, why, because it is considered art. He also gives the people he meets nicknames based on food or the subject they are best in. He is a talkative guy and cares about others and seems to get along with most.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): Silas grew up in a family that went well for the first few decade. However his parents quickly divorced each other and Silas, along with his younger sister, went to live with their mother. Silas closed himself off from society because he didn't understand why his parents divorced, almost thinking it was his fault. He often would get mad in class, throw stuff, and have suicidal tendencies. However he found peace in drawing.
He would spent his free time on drawing, painting and other similar things. He loved it. As the years passed by he became more sociable again, seeming to have forgotten about his parent's divorce. He also didn't see his father at all, nor mentioned him. It seemed like he was living with his mother for his whole life. However he has another personality which does remember these things, a more serious side of him which only comes fort when something is brought up about families, fathers etc. His obsession for food was already present from the day he grew teeth, he constantly has to eat else he will "die of hunger" as he days.
Name: Maria Oathkeeper
Super High School Level Talent: Catholic
Appearance:
Personality: Maria, as you would expect from a nun, is a very kind and caring young girl who, at first sight, doesn't seem to have any bad intentions. She stays strong to her religion and may cry a lot when bad things are happening. Though fragile, she does everything to keep her own and others clean of demons, and will do anything to do that especially in this survival game. She wishes everyone to be a good person and thinks they all need to convert to Christianity. However underneath the friendly nun is someone who will be a total bitch if someone else goes against the rules of God.
Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): Maria never met her parents, well, actually she did. Right after she was born, she was didn't cry, something that didn't seem right in the eyes of the parents. She cried after a spank but the parents thought the baby was possessed by a demon. She was dropped off at a monastery where she was picked up and raised by the nuns of the place. Her parents didn't even bother to give her a name, so the nuns named her Maria, after the holy virgin. The head nun took Maria under her wing thus she also received Oathkeeper as her last name, which was the same name of the head nun. The head nun would also see her as her own daughter, something she never had before.
During Maria's childhood she was taught strict manners of the nuns. If she was to do something wrong she immediately got slapped with a cane against her thighs, calves or hands. She however turned out to be a excellent, pure Catholic girl. She knew everything that was known from the Bible and could read it out of her head. At some point the nuns wouldn't even punish her if she messed up, this was also duo the fact she was the adopted daughter of the head nun. Maria was told to tell when anyone did anything wrong, and even could carry out the punishments herself. And she liked it very much. For being in a monastery she had the best life a student could get there. Because of her wide knowledge of the Bible and related subjects she was invited to the Orion High School which she was allowed to go to from the head nun.

Name: Anna Brunhild
Super High School Level Talent: Super High School Level Thief
Appearance:
Personality: Anna is selfish and greedy to a fault. She just wants and wants with no refunds or returns. Regarding her feelings about her SHSL talent, she isn't really ashamed of what she's done; shoplifting, grand larceny, pickpocketing, stealing the Mona Lisa, jaywalking, etc. She's definitely a proud individual who takes pride in her highly successful career and has a rather inflated ego because of it, but not without good reason. She's definitely smart as hell, able to plan out elaborate heists to get highly secured loot, and can use that knowledge and critical thinking in other fields, not just taking things from people. Although, despite the unsavory reputation and the ego problems, she can be compassionate, but maybe not necessarily kind, and tends to be overly affectionate with her 'treasures', including people.
Biography:
"So tell me, how does a street rat like you get to become the second richest person in the world?"
"Because those Togamis have damn good security, that's why."
-Anna Brunhild, during a police interrogation after her first and only botched heist
And so the tale of the world's greatest thief began with humble beginnings. An unwanted child born of a prostitute in Las Vegas, she grew up without ever having a real home or being acknowledged by her 'mother', and spent most of her childhood just wandering the streets of Sin City rather than staying in the shitty brothel apartment of hers. Eventually, she'd make her way to the Strip at a young enough age and was mesmerized by the ritzy buildings and the money she so desperately needed being haphazardly thrown about in casinos. She definitely needed to get a cut of that, and drunken tourists would make for pretty easy targets. The child in question started with lower risk operations: pickpocketing, petty thievery of objects to sell to fences, and the occasional breaking and entering of some store. Eventually she got greedier and greedier, taking more high-risk, high-reward jobs. Thus profit she made off of career theft for items, information, and all sorts of things increased exponentially, eventually culminating in at least 5 Swiss bank accounts and a luxurious penthouse in good old Vegas filled to the brim with various stolen goods, from a finely crafted table to the Mona Lisa and everything in between. Her 'choice housing decorations' would usually catch the suspicion of someone, but 'cash donations' to the right 'charity' were a good way to get folks to look the other way and not bother to question it. All things considered, she probably wouldn't be going to Orion Academy what with having your real name and location being unknown to any authorities, but unfortunately a botched heist against the Togami Conglomerate brought her skill-set into light. And despite escaping custody, was located and given an offer to the Academy.
