Edie Jensen groggily woke up in one of the many, many classrooms that were in the rather empty Orion Academy. She quirked an eyebrow as she looked around. Why was she asleep? She never just fell asleep like that, whether during work or during classes… something was up. What was up, exactly, was something completely unknown to her, and she figured questioning it would be absolutely useless. However, she was made all the more confused by the pamphlet that was sitting in front of her. The words it said made very little sense, it seemed inviting but… kinda mean at the same time? Clearly this person had some sort of issue. Could it be that they were a part of the school? But why would they call new students bastards?
…
”I guess I should quit thinking about all of this and just go to the entrance way like this is asking… I mean, I figure nothing can really go wrong…” she mumbled to herself, letting out a small sigh and setting the pamphlet down briefly before going to brush herself off. Of course, another problem lied ahead: her apron wasn’t on. A simple half white apron that tied around the waist and went just above her knees, with a pocket in the front for straws and her notepad and pen for taking orders. It would probably sound insane to some, but in a way she felt naked without it—she did wear it almost every day for the past so many years, after all. Luckily it was just on the floor, once she actually looked around. It would be a bit dusty, but that wouldn’t be much compared to the damages it probably took over the years. She tied it on, making sure her notepad and pen were still in there, and promptly stuffed the pamphlet in the pocket, deciding now would be the best time to head to the school’s entrance way.
It took a little bit to find (the school did seem to be pretty big, combining that with the fact that she had no clue where she was going) and she eventually found the entrance way. Surprisingly enough, there were already quite a few people in there. She offered a small wave as she took a few steps forward ”Uh… hi,” was all she could manage to say to who she assumed were her fellow classmates.

Iris had been sitting in her classroom for some thirty minutes or so. She had read over the pamphlet that lies open in front of her plenty of times, trying to discover something more from its words that she didn’t know before. Of course, it was all to no avail, but she thought that maybe with time she could pull something from it that she didn’t know from the time before.
Of course, sitting there, reading over the words of the pamphlet every few minutes just led to her thinking about the situation she was in, and it left her feeling, well, the same, more or less. She felt despaired almost all the time, and this was no different really, though she was a bit more uneasy about the whole thing.
It left her wondering why she was in this situation. She was invited to Orion Academy for her talent (which she didn’t even understand… for despair? What exactly did that mean) and yet the first thing that’s happen is she’s thrown into a situation, not long after entering, that left her feeling much more uneasy than usual. Something had to be up. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before folding up the pamphlet and putting it in her suit pants pocket, and slowly walking out into the hallway. She didn’t quite see any people as she searched for the entrance way. She eventually found it after a few minutes and walked in, noticing a few people were already in and talking, so Iris did what she did best: sneak off to the corner and try to remain unnoticed by her peers.
