Crazy idea:So, we have lots of numbers, and as Reylaa said I can totally vouch for her quality and personality, I wouldn't be opposed to fitting everyone who's applied so far in here (honestly, I'm surprised at the quality of people who showed up; the wonders of Advanced!).Since Nova's getting big, why don't we entertain the idea of splitting the team into two separate missions after this whole thing on Luek's rape yacht here? We can say the team bought a Kodiak so one team can go somewhere for "longer term" missions while the other takes the Tyrus elsewhere, double the income and all the players can be a part of something that they decide that doesn't get bogged down by player numbers. In my Elder Scrolls game, I temporarily split the players up into two separate mini-quest lines that I think worked rather well, so why not apply something like that to Nova? We can change up teams every mission, and give the new players a chance to make their mark and integrate with existing player characters. So honestly, I am not opposed to having both Reylaa and Vakte accepted, even if the numbers are huge. After all, we're all mutual GMs; no reason we can't handle that shit.

Hmm. I actually quite like this idea. Splitting the team would help cut down on "bloat" as people kind of have to wait around for people to post and then have to juggle everyone's character positions and the like. We'd just have to be careful that we don't let either team get too far away time/location wise so that we can reunite if need be.

Actually, now that I think about it, does anyone remember the first Nova? Soshi, me and another guy all applied late, so we were introduced at a later time. Before we met the team though, we had our own little story arc in place. It actually was pretty fun, gave me time to get used to the character, and the small character count allowed some really nice personal character interactions (RIP Kosso vs. Karin). I imagine splitting the teams would have much the same effect, and if that's true, I'm all for it. In the meantime, I'm just throwing out the idea that we could do a similar thing for the new guys (have them already together doing some tangentially related thing that gets them into contact with Nova).

I might just add references to the turian government haphazardly in the OP, and then edit them all to the batarian government's name. A newbie's qualification for getting in will be whether they spot the canon contradiction everywhere.

Yeah but if we did that we'd have to kick Derv out.

Liner notes/Summary ENGAGE:

Once upon a time, on the faraway planet of Kahje, there was a boat. On this boat was a bar. A girl named Kasyra went to this bar and struck up a conversation with a friendly old dude, and they both talked a lot about tech. Soon, a small crowd had formed as people "politely" debated on the best gadgets. All was good. That is, until a troublemaker known as Mark decided to unite a fellow bar patron's face with his shot glass. Then the crowd got pretty restless. Now the bad man is gone, but a bunch of guards are trying and failing to keep order among the bar crowd.

Another man named Steveo may be watching on in amusement, but just as likely may be drinking himself under the table.

I don't care what any of you say! He's a Killzone fan so he's in you hear me?!

Ah, so that's what our standards are.

@Vakte: There's a few people ahead of you in "queue," so to speak, but it seems that for the moment we're doing a sort of open application process. So if you'd like you can whip up a CS and we'll take a look, until we figure out just how many people we're accepting.
@Everyone else: Excellent post, guys! Seems you guys are really having fun with Orish. There may or not be a Kosso post coming soon, but either way he and Tanya are mostly going to be stalling Luek until they get an all clear that the security room has been sorted out. No sense jumping Luek and trying to crack the safe while there's the potential that we'll be picked up on the security feeds.

@Stoshi-ella: To clarify, I origninally planned for the gear to be Nova's actual gear, but it really does not matter either way.
Whoa. Well, that post was certainly important enough to warrant being posted 5 times.

About the weapons, are they Nova's weapons or generic weapons that happen to be in the engine room?

Whatever you would like.

Aww yeaaah. Not that it's super important, but what color is Quantum's armor? I don't know why but the name Quantum made me imagine green armor with yellow highlights.

Well, I haven't given it any thought. So that's what they are now.
