So your employing the strategy of destroying the world before the Tyranids can harvest the biomass.

My issue is. How do you know what the Nids are up to or all about? You don't. You've never fought them before.

So fight to last breath but at first the Nids have the upper hand that's just how it works.

On the topic if making them change course you can do that, by offering them a larger meal. You can always attempt talking to them.
The Tyranid Fleet moved into orbit over the planet releasing it's swarms of bioengineered ships towards the meager space defenses.

The Hive Ships did not wait for them to be destroyed.

Carrier spore began pouring to the planets surface carrying billions of Combat organisms within them. The spores will crash all over the planets surface in seemingly random locations.

Few spores feel within the city itself but those that did carried more Genestealers and a new creature. The Lictor, pretty much a larger quicker deadlier Genestealer with cameleon type skin.

Outside the city the swarm forms. Billions of organisms moving as one towards the city.

Something else far more insidious was taking place across the entire world. Micro Organisms were being released everywhere. These organisms would mutate the local flora into a rapidly growing Tyranid flora within a few hours. Huge Capillary towers will begin to sprout all over, they would change the atmosphere and raise the core temperature of the planet. Any creatures unlucky enough to have proper filtration would begin growing I'll.

I would beg to differ, I would have personally placed tactical value of a force of 30 units that have already bypassed the Collective defenses mucher higher than less than one %, considering the hugely destructive weaponry the Collective employs. I'm not really too bothered by the hive fleet, its likely the planet will fall though I do intend to take a huge chunk of your force with me, and considering what will be left I doubt it would have been a worthwhile investment for the Tyranids, and given that this strain is more intelligent I can imagine it would think twice before trying again on another such world, and that's my end goal here. Essentially, re direct them.I had this problem with the seeders, I'm glad to see the same tactics I had erected all so long ago as a contingency to their assault or the victory of Equestrian forces will finally see some use, good to know it wasn't a complete waste, maybe my overall plan for them will work the same here as well.Hey duck, want a few 'nids coming your way? XDGood thing I still have my Dark Energy and Hardlight weapons, muhaha. Good thing I get to show their power off too >:)

You Miss understand the Beauty Of The Tyranids I get everything back if I win. I reabsorb all my lost biomass and even more from your own world.
The Genestealers tactical value is less than 1 percent their going to die and I don't really care if they do, the fleet has arrived

Time to exterminate some bugs

Tyranid Theme song

A Genestealer is a species of Tyranid used as the ultimate shock trooper. Their purpose is to advance ahead of a Hive Fleet and pinpoint potential planets for the Tyranids to devour. They are amongst the most deadly creatures in the Galaxy, combining high cunning, lightning-fast reactions and movement, with large, diamond hard, extremely sharp claws that can rip through the toughest armour in seconds.

20 of them along with 10 of their hybrid children were set into a frenzy as the Hive Fleet approched, They spread throughout the city killing anything they can reach. 8 Genestealers swarmed at the 6 creatures that had just exited the APC.

=============================

The Hive Fleet was close now, the planet although impeccably Tiny at this range was in sight.

The shadow in the warp would now begin taking effect.
FTL engines stall in any attempt to escape the system and long range calls for help receive nothing but static in return.
Galactic cancer. What don't you understand about that. Tyranids are the ultimate villian.
"They are coming! I feel them scratching inside my mind, scratching, screaming, running, so many - so, so many voices. They are coming for us - flesh, body and soul"

"Across the heavens the flotilla of bio-ships stretched out, impelled by instinct to hibernate again until new prey was found, new resources could be plundered. In their wake was left a bare rock orbiting a star, scoured of every organic particle, stripped of all but the most basic elements. Nothing was left of the farming world of Langosta III, there were no testaments to the humans who had once lived there. Now all that was left was an airless asteroid, the unmarked death place of three million people."

Hive Fleet Chimera had grown exponentially from its latest meals, several more small worlds. 1 even contained a marooned crew of some kind.

The fleet consisted now of 50 Super Massive Hive Ships and a seemingly limitless amount of support craft. Capable of Launching numberless hordes of ground forces.

The Fleet slowly moved through space towards it's next prey. What the rest of the galaxy referred to as the Triarian Collective. Genestealers had already begun to infiltrate the world and drew the fleet towards it with ever growing speed.

Because they do not utilize FTL travel it will take a long time for the fleet to arrive. But they will not be detected until they are close enough for the shadow in the warp(the effect Tyranids have on FTL and communication technology) to take its deadly hold.

(The fleet is moving to the recently colonized Collective world, this will be the first contact with a defended world)
Woot woot. Here come the galaxy destroyers.

Not sure if I want to consume you first or last. Your DNA would no doubt serve us well. But your part of the completely evil guys club. .
You even have your own supreme consciousness.

Nah I'm just kidding, well probably end up working together in some way :P even though that's not the normal Nid style.
