You do you know if you don't try? If you try and succeed...awesome! If you try and you don't succeed...at least you didn't let fear and doubt dictate your actions...

I'm just waiting for AZ to respond to my PM..otherwise...yeah I'm still up for this.
Aloha & peace.
We are all creative here. Look at the CSs we created that says a lot about us as RPers and writers. Everyone adds something to the soup..X started it...I added something...now someone else adds to it. Be creative go with what you see & just do something. We're a great group and we support one another so put something out there and let's do this!
I would love to see this continue...but I was the last one to post and I won't do back to back posting.
That sucks.

I told Mario that there would be a surprise inspection of Eagle Point in three days time, but I hadn't been on an inspection tour and to show up at Eagle Point and then within two weeks have it get assaulted could raise suspicions. I decided to do an inspection on another station in a completely different sector. Most stations follow standard protocols with minor variations but for the most part they're pretty much a cookie cutter operation. "Don't want to upset the cart, and besides no one would dare try to overthrow one of our stations," is the line that the Council clings to for dear life. There had been other attempts to overthrow stations before but those groups were stupid to be blunt. They would try to do a an all-out direct assault a major one like The Citadel, The Diamond Heart, The Black Box, or any of the others. They would do these attacks without any recon, substantial resources, and once they got in they had no exit strategy.

I arrived at Red Field in the agriculture sector at dusk when there was a changing of the shift, so I could inspect the troops getting ready to go on duty.

I approached the gate and flashed my id and stated, "Prefect Martin Wallace of Central Station here for an unofficial inspection."

The guard snapped to attention after scanning my credentials and said, "We are honored by your presence Prefect Wallace."

I replied, "Thank you. Now how about opening the gate, so I can enter and inspect."

The guard said, "Oh sorry sir." The gate slowly yawned open and I entered. As I did I glanced over at the guard and said, "Well done as you were."

The guard went to parade rest and I entered the garrison area. It's where the troops got their briefings, their weapons checked, and discussed what was going on during the day. I opened the door to what looked like a classroom. The Sargent of the Guard was giving his briefing, the Commander was watching him in case he missed anything, the troops sat and took noted. The Sargent of the Guard said, "And in sector 13 there was a coolant leak maintenance has been made aware of it and...TENN-HUT! PREFECT ON DECK."

The Commander turned and saw me and snapped to attention as the everyone else that was seated sprung up like they were in a jack-in-the-box.

I walk towards the front of the room and turned to those standing and said, "Be seated as you were." I looked to the Commander and said, "Just doing an unofficial inspection Commander. I didn't even bring anything to write with just relax and do your job."

I turned to the Sargent and said, "Carry on with your briefing Sargent." I walked to a corner of the room and just observed everyone. They're highly trained and are very proficient at their job, but they've never seen any sort of battle making them a little slow on the draw. That could be to our advantage.

Once the briefing begins to wrap up I stand next to the Sargent hoping this will get his attention. Once he is finished he asked, "Anything you wish to add Prefect Wallace?"

I replied, "Yes Sargent I want you to gather the troops out in the Main Yard for parade inspection in two minutes."

The Sargent said, "Yes sir Prefect Wallace. TROOPS FALL OUT!"

As they left I approached Commander Taggert and said, "This won't take too long. Once I inspect the troops I'll want a tour of the rest of the facility."

Taggart replied, "It'll be my pleasure to conduct that tour for you sir."

I nodded and made my way to the Main Yard. Taggart is a career man who has no business wearing a uniform. He is career suck-up and politician and is here because his Uncle knows someone and is marking time until he retires.

I inspected the troops and did the Hard-Ass Prefect routine on some of them. and said nothing to others. Once it was over the troops were dismissed and I was given the tour. I felt like I should get a medal for staying awake and not killing Taggart for his sucking up to me.

As I left the facility though I did pick up some useful nuggets to share with Mario.

Great work MS

Thank you. I was worried about stepping over the line in terms of the van & the lunar cycle...but this way we have something to work with & this also puts some big time pressure to find the killer before he (or she) finds their next victim.
KJ could feel the energy in the room lift to another level as the band started off. Nicky set the tone by gauging the temperature of the audience. Once she told them what th band was gonna do the room let out a collective roar. That set the tone right there that this was going to be one of those shows where there was lot of give and take with the crowd, and that there was going to be a lot of knowing looks and smiles amongst the band as well. It was shows like these where how much they got paid wasn't the main factor, but it served to rekindle why this band did what they did. For their love of their music and for each other. This club wasn't the biggest venue that they had ever played in, but with the energy in the room and the energy from one another KJ felt like they were about to rock MSG.

As the song started up KJ from the first note could tell that this show was gonna be the stuff of legend. He looked out at the crowd and a couple of people pointed at him. KJ quickly pointed back and smiled. He never expected anything or asked for anything back from the crow, except for one thing. That they enjoyed themselves. KJ loved watching a crowd just forget their problems and worries for a while and jsut having fun. That give and take made everything worth while.
I should have a Martin post up in the next couple of days..>i thin he's going to the Prison for a surprise inspection, so he has something to tell Mario when he meets with him.
Kevin sat at a computer console of the MCU HQ with his feet up running his fingers on the rim of a coffee cup. The room was almost pitch black except for the glow of the computer monitors and the light from a desk lamp next to a yellow legal pad and a pencil. In the background playing very quietly was the Bruce Springsteen CD "Nebraska" which was on repeat.

Kevin felt as though he would never make any sense of the footage waiting for what he called the blip. A blip was something that just popped off of the screen that would stand out and get the wheels really moving. However with the footage being from such a wide expanse of time and most of it at night was proving to be a challenge for Detective West. Just then though he finally caught his blip.

He smiled slightly as he said, "A van. That's it there's my blip." Kevin very quickly pulled up the footage of the other cams around the approximate times of death and found the same make and model of a van driving away. However in this case the van was a different color which made Kevin smile even more as he said, "Oh my man you are smart. Yes you are my man, but I'm smarter." Kevin also noted though that the license plate of the van was different each time. He wrote down the plate numbers and pulled up the addresses. Kevin realized that the plates belonged to other vehicles but they were within a couple of blocks of where the bodies had been found.

Kevin nodded and sat up as he said, "Okay here's how it goes. The killer stops off switches plates with another vehicle just before he reaches the traffic cam. So when he drives by it's 'look at me, look at me, it's me but not the real me.' Very clever my man. Then he lets the vic go and does the deed. Takes off down another road and says to the traffic cam, 'okay I did it and you know it but you still can't catch me.' Again very clever my man and then you switch plates again and go home."

Kevin puts down his legal pad and let out an exhale and studies the screen. This time with all four screens showing the same van in a different color. One was black. one was dark gray, one was navy, and then one was dark purple. Kevin nodded and said, "All right my man your van color trick. You can't use the same van twice technically, but if you make changes like to the color and the vehicle tags it's a different van. You need to use dark colors so not to draw attention to yourself, and you go to a different paint shop. You can't go to the same paint shop over and over my man. That raises questions you can't hide from. Which means you got bucks to burn if you're getting the van repainted on a weekly basis. Oh my man you're a sick puppy aren't you. You're doing this because you're wealthy and bored just playing a new game with the only group that has no choice but to play with you."

Kevin shook his head and said, "You sick bastard at least the psychos have mental issues to blame for their problems, but you're doing this just because you can." Kevin then began darting his eyes back and forth on the screen. Kevin then realized something and under his breath said, "That's how you determine it all." Kevin quickly grabbed a calendar and then looked at the dates the bodies were found. The bodies had been dead for less than 24 hours and Kevin knew he could be on to something.

Kevin said, "Lunar phases that's it. First body found 24 hours after the first phase, second body found 24 hours after the full moon, third body 24 hours after the last phase, and last night was a new moon." He looked back at the calendar and said, "If we don't move it we're gonna have another dead body in 8 days."

With that Kevin quickly typed up his report. He then paged the Major and said, "Sir please report to the video room asap sir. You're gonna wanna see this!"

Just then CC called him and asked, "You got a minute?"

Kevin replied, "I got something to show the Major what's up?"

CC replied, "I think I got something too, but I want verification when you get a chance can you come to see me?"

Kevin said, "Oh yeah you bet....I mean sure no problem."

Kevin could almost hear CC smiling as she said, "Thank you KW."

The line went dead and Kevin looked up and said, "Can you be any more obvious West?"

He shook his head and awaited the arrival of the Major.
