You do you know if you don't try? If you try and succeed...awesome! If you try and you don't succeed...at least you didn't let fear and doubt dictate your actions...

X has got my CS.
And it looks like this one is D-O-A. Bummer it had some real potential...and I had a character idea ready to go.

Oh well.

Peace.
I'm in.

Let me know if there anything I need to chance in my post. Hopefully I didn't ruin your plan.

My original plan was going to be Martin meets his contact in the alley who tells him to go to the library. Waiting for him would be a copy of "A Tale Of Two Cities" and that is how Martin meets Charles.

What you did was fine in terms of game play (in terms of storytelling it was Great! Well Done!)...if you wanna change it to go with my idea...great...if not...not a problem I can still find a way to work with it. Wait until you find out how Ellen gets into all of this.

My Ellen post...hope you don't mind...is gonna take a leap ahead in terms of time of day I'm gonna get her from work to the club to meet her parents and to later that evening if you don't mind.
Edwin decided to delay going to see the Williams sisters on his own at this time. He decided that it was time to not just rattle the cages, but it was time to turn the cages upside down with the animals still inside of them.

Edwin stopped off at the court house and met with the clerk of the court. A woman who looked more like a stereotypical librarian. Brown hair in a tight bun, glasses on the end of her nose, and of course a tweed skirt with matching jacket accented with a white blouse typing up a report of some kind. Her name plate stated that her name was Charlene Wilson.

Okay something tells me the old Rogers charm ain't gonna work here, so I guess it's time to do my Joe Friday and see if that wows Charlene.

Rogers flashed his badge and said, "Detective Edwin Rogers homicide Pittsburgh P-D. Here on special orders from the Governor looking into the..."

Charlene looked up and said, "We're aware of who you are Detective Rogers. How can I help you?"

Charlene actually smiled at Edwin who in turn smiled at her and said, "Well Charlene I need to see a judge about a search warrant. Can you help me with that?"

Charlene nodded and looked over her schedule and said, "Judge Stone up the stairs turn right 3 doors down is free at this time."

Edwin replied, "Thank you Charlene." Edwin made his way to the Judge's chambers and once he arrived he knocked on the door. A somewhat Northeastern accent replied, "It's open."

Edwin walked in and saw an older gentleman bent over slightly playing with a practice putting green, He tapped the ball and it drifted towards the left and the judge made a face like he just ate a sour olive. He shook his head and said, "Come on Dan you can do better than that."

Edwin said, "I beg your pardon your honor my name is Detective Edwin Rogers of....:"

The Judge retrieved his ball and said, "Trust me Detective everyone in city politics knows who you are now." Stone looked at Rogers and said, "You're the guy who not only was picked by the Governor to solve this case, but who also managed to get Sheriff Hawkins in hot water with the Governor."

Edwin shook his head said, "Well well word travels fast here. It wasn't my intention to get the Sheriff in trouble your honor."

Stone chuckled and said, "One of the deputies is married to the Clerk of the Court that's we all heard about it. Personally I think Hawkins has had it coming to him for years. About damn time somebody put that third rate hoodlum with a badge in his place. You stood up to the school yard bully and whacked him good. I love it been trying to get him in line for years, but with the Mayor being so spineless around him Hawkins gets away with murder. Off the record there are a couple murders I think he actually did do but that's another matter for another day. What's on your mind have a seat?" The judge gestured to an empty chair as he took a seat behind the desk.

Edwin replied, "I need a search warrant for the Williams residence. Need to see what I can find in her room that might help with getting things going. After that I plan on bringing all the kids on her list to question them as a group."

Stone asked, "Wanna see how they interact with one another?"

Edwin nodded and said, "I realize there is one other person on the list a Nigellus Rollins who's 21. I'm really wondering about him. I think this is the day karma bitch-slaps for certain other items on his file."

Stone nodded and replied, "Yeah I agree with you about him off the record of course."

Edwin nodded and said, "Oh absolutely your honor."

Stone smiled at Rogers and said, "I like you Detective. You're not from around here so that means you can be fearless and shake things up. I like that about you, and I read your file as well. You are one helluva Detective."

Stone pulled out a warrant and filled it out. He signed it and said, "Need anything else call me direct." Stone handed Edwin his card and Edwin put it away. Edwin said, "Thank you your Honor."

Stone nodded as Edwin started to leave Stone said, "Oh by the way nice hog. 1979 restored it looks like."

Edwin turned back to the Judge and replied, "Good eye sir. You ride too?"

Stone said, "Yeah I got an 1982 I ride once in a while. Good luck Detective."

Edwin bowed his head slightly and made his way back over to his Harley. He started it and went to the address on the warrant. Luckily for Edwin the town wasn't that big so finding the house was no issue.

Edwin took a deep breath and said, "Okay now the real game begins."

Edwin went to the front door and knocked Warrant in one hand, and his badge in the other.

Is this still going on ?

That's my question. I'm giving it until Monday for something to happen (even an OOC thread) before I start thinking this really good idea died before it's time.
I will have a post up sometime tomorrow. Putting things together in my mind, and going through CS-s so when I start questioning it looks like Edwin did some of his homework.
Luke nodded as he took the bottle from Ryan and raised it as well. He said, "Brothers to the bone." Luke took a swig and set the bottle back next to Ryan.

He studied his cards and said, "Talk about a rough hand." Luke whistled a bit and then put three cards on the table and said, "Okay Candice. No long after you left I began to have my suspicions about her. The old C-I-A training began to kick into overdrive there was just something off about her, and I began to realize that when I saw her hide something in a drawer."

Luke took a swig of his water and said, "Well I waited 'til she thought I was asleep one night, and in the drawer I found a syringe and three vials of diazepam otherwise known as Valium." Luke shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well you know me I couldn't just leave well enough alone, so I slipped out and followed her. Got to about 5 miles away and she was meeting up with someone. Big mean looking dude and I was able to get an understanding by body language and the environment I was in."

Luke took three cards and shook his head. He said, "Not much of an improvement over the three I just threw out, but anyway back to Candice. Candice was working for a local Warlord. She would lure people in, charm 'em, and then stick a needle in them. When the poor person came to they were now 'in-service' to the Warlord and she got a cut of everything."

Luke took another drink and said, "I made it back to the cabin and filled the syringe. Candice entered the cabin and..." Luke moved his finger in a downward motion as he said, "Lights out for Candice. I tied and gagged her to a tree, took some of the kerosene, and poured it on the side of the cabin. I waited until she came to before I did anything else. When she did she saw me spark one of my good arrows, and I fired it at the cabin." Luke pushed his hands apart and said, "The place was engulfed in a matter of minutes. I left her there tied up. Oh I left a knife just out of reach. I figure either she got the knife and got free, the fire spread and got her, the zombies got her, or maybe another group set her free. Either way she's not our issue anymore."

Luke shook his head and said, "Yet I can't quiet that little voice that keeps telling me I should've killed her when I had the chance. Oh well done with her and moving on."

Luke put his cards on the table and said, "2 Pair 4's & 9's what do you got Bishop?"
You got my attention.
So I guess this one is done...Peace.
