"Nothing in particular, no harm in having a look though." Griff said to Johnathon, heading off down the street towards the fort. Griff had seen the fort from the hills about the town and it didn't take the pair too long to find the market. The market was bustling and filled with stalls selling all kinds of goods imaginable. "I'm going to have a look around. I'll meet you back by the fort in a bit." Griff said, disappearing into the crowd before Jonathan could protest.

After a quick look around the market, Griff decided it was just like any other market and his time alone would be better spent looking around the rest of Loenn. He circled back around to where they had entered the market and went in search of anything that would be helpful. The nature of the town meant the layout was fairly simple. The wide roads rarely deviating from a grid like pattern, it was easy for Griff to memorise much of the roadway. Nearing the place where they had left the cart, Griff noticed Crom standing down an alleyway off the road. He began to make he day down the alley when he saw Soah walking towards Crom, spouting a tirade of insults. Griff ducked back out of the alley and onto the road, preferring to announce his presence once the werewolf was gone.
Loenn
Griff nodded to Crom as the man dismounted to go have his wounds seen too. Hopefully the doctor knew his stuff, werewolf wounds probably weren't particularly common. "There's bound to be a market somewhere, that might be a good place to kill some time." He said to answer Johnathon's question. In truth he wanted to see as much of the town as possible and he could lose Johnathon in the bustle of a market to go surveying. He wanted to have every advantage possible if this deal either went south or if he decided to intervene. "Come on let's go." He said, hopping down from the cart before Johnathon had time to argue.

Looking around the street they were on, Griff could already see that the building were all about the same height, that would make movement across the rooftops a lot easier. The broad streets would limit the usefulness of that though. "In most Fort Towns the market usually springs up in front of the keep. We should head towards the fort." Griff said, turning back to Johnathon.
Haha sorry about that
"Who isn't?" Griff laughed at Crom. As much as Griff was starting to like the man, Griff didn't think he'd seen him sober at any point in the day they'd known each other. Griff eyed the book the woman presented with suspicion. Either she too was an agent of the League or she had good contacts and was hoping for a rather large payment from someone. The chance of two agents running into each other on a sleepy mountain road made the former seem unlikely, if the latter were true, Griff would need to get his hands on the book and disappear West. "What's the plan with the book in Loenn?" He asked hoping to find out more information. "The more we know the better we'll be able to help." It was true in part, but knowing her plans would make it easier to get hold of the book and lose her.
Griff smirked, finding it funny how Soah had been right. It looked like there was a catch to their 'free' ride. "I'm in." He said after a moment, not as concerned about the nature of work like Crom was. He was sure what ever it would entail wouldn't be anything vastly different to what he was used to, plus it had the added advantage of giving him a better cover. Caravan guard would be a much less suspicious way to get around, guards tended to always be wary of wanderers. "Crom does bring up some good questions though." He added, hoping for some answers, he never liked being completely in the dark on things and this woman did have an air of something about her that Griff couldn't quite put his finger on. Something definitely seemed off.
"Yes I am." Griff said in reply to Johnathon, surprised slightly at Adrian's decision. That boy is going to get himself killed at this rate, he thought to himself, not too bothered about letting Adrian leave with a werewolf. The boy could have easily become a liability. He was glad the group had decided to take the cart, well what was left of the group anyway, Crom probably wouldn't make it far on foot now. "Our best bet for helping Crom is probably just to take the cart to the next town and see what we can find there. I doubt we'll find anything out here in the wilderness and we can probably manage to make some bandages on the way." He said to Johnathon as he followed Crom over to the cart.
"If this is any indication of what's to come, you probably will." Griff said in response to Crom. Their journey had barely begun and it had already been rather eventful. "I have to agree with Adrian too." He added as the conversation turned to what to do with Soah. "Travelling further with him is just going to create more problems." He said. If he stays with us and this keeps happening, it won't be the smooth, undetected getaway I had planned on, he thinks to himself.

The sound of the cart approaching draws his attention away from the discussion and towards the group of travellers coming up the path towards them. Griff hoped the group would decide to travel with the cart, a larger group was easier to hide in. The merchant driving the cart seemed to be keen on danger, approaching without any sign of caution. Griff decided to let Crom answer the man's question. It had been directed at him after all.
"Well that was unexpected." Griff said, having stood there in a state of disbelief for much of the fight. "That was some impressive swordsmanship." He added, complimenting Crom's combat prowess. Adrian had effectively banished Soah from the group, and even if the boy's leadership was mostly just humoured, Griff was inclined to agree with this decision as he looked at the slowly regenerating, half wolf half human form of Soah.
Griff was a bit taken a back by Adrian's attack, but remained silent, standing with the others while the fight raged on. Glancing at Crom, Griff saw the man had gone for the same option as himself, however Johnathon seemed a bit more worried. "I say we leave them to it." Griff said in response to Johnathon. "Better for them to get this out of their system early on." He added, now in the middle of no where was much less inconvenient than it would be in a crowded town or city. Griff walked over to a large rock and took a seat, deciding to wait for the scene to play out in front of him. The end result was already clear. Adrain was just a boy and the new comer to their group looked like he could certainly handle himself. Griff could see Adrian didn't stand a chance.
As the talk turned to killing, Griff went silent. He preferred not to reveal that side of himself unless he had too. The journey they had ahead of them would be treacherous, and not just because of the elements. War brought out the worse in people, There was a chance they could encounter bandits, then perhaps Adrian and Johnathon would have a killing story of their own. Griff thought back to the first man he had killed, an Arcarti soldier. The days of the empire in Griff's home city were numbered and the soldiers were deserting left right and centre. The man had broken into their home looking for anything he could steal. Griff came home to his Mother being raped and grabbed a knife. The soldier must have had over 100 holes in him, Griff couldn't remember what had happened exactly, it was all a blur. He'd expected someone to come looking for the dead man, but no one came and the empire was soon gone from the city. That was before he'd been recruited by The League, since then he'd killed more men than he could count. It never bothered him, it was all in the name of the cause and as far as he was concerned, the freedom of the masses was a cause worth killing for. "These are dangerous times. You reach an age when you're likely to have killed. Otherwise the other man would be standing where you are." Griff said, feeling like he should add something to the conversation.
