I'm interested, I'll try and get a CS up in a bit.
I'm interested if there's still space.
"I won't." Marcus replied, smiling as he sat up more in bed. He knew he wouldn't. Laelia was special, he knew it. How? He wasn't quite sure yet, but still he knew he wanted to take her back to Rome. He climbed out of the bed and began searching for his cloths. He pulled his tunic on before beginning to wrap his toga around himself. As he finished dressing, he felt a low rumble as the ground shook slightly. After a few seconds it stopped and Marcus relaxed. There had been one yesterday too, but the locals hadn't seem fazed so Marcus assumed they were a fairly regular occurrence but he still wasn't too comfortable with it. Another bonus of the capital. No tremors..He thought to himself.
"I'll do that then." Marcus said, smiling. As she snuggled up against him to sleep, he too closed he eyes. Maybe Laelia was right, maybe he would feel different in the morning but right now, next to her, there was no where else he wanted to be. As he drifted off to sleep, his thoughts were of nothing but Laelia.
"Money's not an issue. My family has enough of it. I could help you pay off your debts." Marcus said, expecting money to come up. "Why wouldn't I want you?" He said, kissing the top of Laelia's head. In truth he wasn't entirely sure why he had made her the offer. There were hundreds of girls just like her in Rome and his Father would never approve anyway, but he still couldn't shake his feelings towards Laelia. Everything with her had felt so right, like they were meant to have been together.
Half an hour from Indiga, Lucan handed the wheel over to his first mate. He would likely have to meet with some aspect of the Guild when they pulled into port and his current attire, dirty and worn, was not really fitting of a Captain. He made his way down from the poop deck and towards his cabin. The Aurelia was a small ship and his cabin took up all of the stern, the rest being devoted to the cargo hold. Inside, Lucan stripped off, throwing his dirty clothes on to the bed and replacing them with something cleaner. Kicking open a chest, he took out his Captain's jacket as he called it. It was a dark blue adorned with golden trimmings, styled like the uniform of an officer of the navy. Pulling on the jacket he grabbed his tricorn hat from the back of the door and headed back out on to the deck of The Aurelia, leaving most of the buttons on his jacket undone.

Stepping through the door, the sea air hit him. It was a smell he had always loved. At sea he felt at home, the wind and spray on his face, the crash of the waves on The Aurelia's hull. He strode across the ship, his jacket billowing in the wind. Just before he reached the prow, a rogue wave rocked the ship, sending a couple of the more inexperienced crewman staggering back, although Lucan appeared to have barely felt the movement, not losing his balance for even a moment. Stood at the prow of his ship, Lucan surveyed what lay ahead. In the distance Indiga could be seen, about five minutes away with the current winds by Lucan's reckoning, however something didn't look right. A large plume of black smoke was rising from the harbour. Worried, Lucan made his way to take back the wheel.

"What has happened here?" Lucan said, mostly rhetorically, as The Aurelia slowly made its way into the harbour. In truth in was fairly obvious, the water was littered with pieces of wood, fire and oil. Further into the harbour, the flames were more intense and Lucan could make out a set of masts.
"That must be where it happened." Lucan's First Mate, Jack, said, coming to the same conclusion as Lucan.
"My thoughts exactly." Lucan replied. "Let's moor as far away as possible. We're meant to be past that inferno but I'll take inconveniencing the Sailor's Guild over losing my ship." He continued, turning the ship towards the nearest empty moorings.
Marcus smiled at Laelia's compliment, holding her tighter as she snuggled into him. "Well thank you." He said, feeling quite pleased with himself. "Something just felt so right about it." He added, his thoughts drifting back to earlier in the evening. "You know, I'll be heading back to Rome in a week or so. You could come with me if you want...." He said, hoping. He imagined Laelia was probably no stranger to such offers, but he felt like he couldn't leave her without asking.
((That's fine))

"That was incredible." Marcus said feeling extremely satisfied. In the heat of the moment he had completely forgotten Laelia was doing everything for money, she was good at making him forget that and he wondered if she had forgotten it too occasionally. At one point the pair had moved from their corner to one of the Brothel's many bedrooms, the centrepiece of which was a large four poster bed, covered in ornate carvings. He reached across to a table by the side of the bed, taking a handful of grapes from a bowl.
"Marcus." Marcus replied. Now that Laelia mentioned it, she also seemed familiar, maybe that was what had drawn him to her.
"It may sound strange but so do you. I only got here from the capital yesterday too." He said, getting somewhat distracted from Laelia's show.
"Have you ever been?" He asked.

Name: Captain Lucan Reynolds
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 29
City-State: Indiga
Occupation: Merchant vessel captain
Height: 5'11"
History/Bio: Lucan has one love in his life. The Aurelia. A twin masted ship, she's not one of the biggest based out of Indiga but definitely one of the fastest. Lucan was born in Indiga to a fisherman and from an early age he set his sights on the seas. He worked on many ships, out of Indiga, in his youth, including The Aurelia, until he won her from her previous captain in a game of cards. For the last few years he has captained the ship, working as a member of the Sailor's Guild. Most of his time is spent hauling lumber from Indiga to other city-states and then usually bringing food back. Lucan is not a fan of the Sailor's Guild's level of control over his operations nor their tariffs. He still maintains his influence within the Guild, knowing its value, however he will often take less than legal shipments to supplement his income, smuggling anything from people to stolen goods. Lucan was in port in Crimsia the day of the eruption, having just dropped off a load of lumber. He managed to just make it out after originally being unable to leave due to the prophet's decision to lock down the harbour. The Sailor's Guild was initially displeased that he had chosen to fill his hold with Marked Ones rather than the incense he was meant to return with, and Lucan suspects that some members still feel he shouldn't have dumped the incense into Crimsia's harbour.

Dislikes: The Sailor's Guild
