Roleplaying involves a commitment to others. And if you cannot keep that commitment I'd ask you to be honest with youself and just say so. It's by far the least painful way of leaving an rp.

Intimidation roll (20*)

<Snipped quote by Natsucooldude>

Yes.. I read the rule book... but everyone does things differently... You never know what they are going to do... So I was just making sure before I rolled a random die..

Err... so far everyone here has followed the rules for the most part. this seems like a rather weaksauce excuse to me.
psyker is go! Tear them to pieces with your mind!
The warp gathers in power... orks charge a battleline, two of them move closer, firing bullets at the ogryn catching their attention. One collapses clutching a leg. Burnt off by the maccabian's accurate lasgun fire. one ork fires its gun at the source of noise and deadly gunfire coming their way, the primitive weapon failing to hit even the large form of the ogryn before it. Meanwhile, its comrade besides it elected to throw a stikkbomb. The brutish explosive sailed through the air, clattering into the interior of the chimera before exploding into a cloud of fire and shrapnel. Judging by the squishing sounds heard during and after the explosion, the pompadoured heavy weapons man and his comrade had failed to clear the chimera in time.

Such were the dangers of war... speaking of which, a threat more immaterial made itself known to the orks. A psyker, finally releasing his deadly power on his enemies.
I rolled a 7 and a 1. at a +1 modifier, so I think that means Sionnie succesfully stole my drink. Couldn't get a picture of my rolls up this time around.

Galawayn turned to Jakar as the barman poured out his cider. "Your offer interests me my good man... I don't really have anytihng better to do anyway, I'm in." The gnome looked back forward to see his glass was missing.

"Alright... who stole my drink" Galawayn looked around to see the rogue jsut standing there, holding his glass. "Would you mind giving that back? Get your own damn drink or get out. I don't take well to moochers." The gnome's patience with the tiefling had run out. He started hoping she wouldn't take the ranger up on his offer to join forces, just so he would be rid of her.
the second paragraph of my post in a nutshell: Revolution... revolution never changes.

Also, may I request we get a quick summary of what our rewards would be in the OOC? I feel like it would help improve the flow of IC posts.
Kenneth simply stood at attention as seeker ran his debriefing. He was rather pleased at the implicit praise in the commander's words. He nodded at the commander's order to drop his conflict with the ranger, at least while on base. He nodded his head to signify the message was loud and clear to him. He had noticed the commander's earlier... resolute demeanour, and he wasn't going to go against a person with such presence.

He listened to the briefing for the next assignment. He heard mention of the settlement of underworld. He quite liked the place come to think of it. The ghouls were generally friendly as long as he kept out of trouble. He had been wondering how they were doing under the brotherhood regime. Apparantly, they were under a more subtle form of opression for now. Kenneth had read history books from before the war sometimes. Tarrifs like the ones seeker mentioned had been a good spark for revolution in past times... and it seemed that hadn't changed even nowadays.

Kenneth slightly twitched at the mention of the sewers. He had been there only a few times. Terible place really, between the mirelurks, the pools of irradiated water and the occasional pack of feral ghouls. He made a mental note to wrap all his sensitive equipment up. He had survived a charge pack surging in the water once, and he wasn't privvy to experiencing that again. The mention of the receiver dish of GNR also had his attention. In the past, he ahd listened to the station, but he had stopped on principle due to its support of the brotherhood. It would be quite a public display of resistance to knock it offline. And it would clear up the air for other stations to take over the ether. It was quite a good idea really. Now the real task would be actually getting this job done.

The commander closed the briefing, and Kenneth silently stood at salute. His head was already turning on what he would do between now and mission commencement. He needed to recalibrate the receiver of his laser rifle, and the commander had implicitly tasked him with upscaling the mutant's armor. "Well big guy, you want it to look like what grognak wore during the battle at demon hill arc or can I follow a more utilitarian design?" The mutant wasn't the only one who liked reading the old Grognak comics. After all, even a twitchy paranoiac like Kenneth had hobbies beyond mad survivalism. He left the briefing room to acquire a welder and get started on the armor. Unscrewing the cover on his rifle's circuitry as he went to get an idea of what he would need to rewire.
On the intimidation roll.. What type of die should I roll for it? Not trying to be mean or rude.. But maybe in the future so you don't get asked this question again.. you could put what type of die should be rolled after you tell them what needs to be rolled?

It's always a D20 on skill rolls. You would know this if you had looked it up in the rules.

Well as a fan of both the Mythos and comics I disagree with that point in terms of comic book things since punching out vast unknowable world destroying beings is a tuesday more often than not. But regardless there ARE some things (Deep Ones, cultists, the Hounds depending on how our universe chooses to interpret them, certain lesser nasties, Nyarlahotep if it amuses him, the Mi-Go) That can be overcome or stopped temporarily or...not outwitted but survived depending on your attitude toward the mythos adapted to these comics. Obviously in the Mythos proper summoning Azathoth would destroy the cosmos and summoning most any eldritch being of unspeakable cosmic horror would be unstoppable, but if we want to use them some modification is acceptable so you'd then either have a story about stopping the summoning by some crazy cultists or I guess modify that to suit the purpose of the universe we're in so that he'd be more an Anti-Monitor level threat.

The REAL problem is that Weird Tales doesn't seem to have sufficient knowledge of the Mythos to work it in properly?

Yeah, what you said about lack of knowledge is what I meant. I'm sorry, I tend to be a bit roundabout in how I say things like that.
As kenneth searched through the brotherhood transport, he heard someone walking up behind him. He looked backwards, half expecting the ranger coming in for another round of bickering. Instead, he saw the mute mask, offering him a piece of paper. What Kenneth read on the scrap made him nod his head in approval. "Yeah, we're fighting a gorilla war here... gorilla's the right word, is it? Anyway, the way I see it, the brotherhood is keeping the people in check partly with bread and circuses... And our friend the ranger is helping the brotherhood with the bread part right now."

He took a set of charge packs that caught his eye, inspecting them as he continued talking. "Too much trouble to do anything about it now though, let's just go back to base and report what we did well... The boss'll know what to do about the ranger and the mutant's... naivete." He looked back at the kart again. He briefly considered blowing it up with his last charge, but decided against it. Raiders would have the thing picked apart far before any brotherhood reinforcements got here.

And with that, Kenneth walked off back to the anarchy's base. Grinning with satisfaction for a job well done and the promise of a good payment."
