Roleplaying involves a commitment to others. And if you cannot keep that commitment I'd ask you to be honest with youself and just say so. It's by far the least painful way of leaving an rp.

In other news... shall we start considering moving the plot along? I feel like we've had enough R&R.
Galawayn's pointed ears perked up at the tiefling's confession. "A pact?... What sort do you mean?" Galawayn could already guess what this tiefling probably meant. It seemed she was on the foolish path of embracing her cursed heritage. "I would suggest letting these sleeping dogs lie... Nothing but tears can be had from the lower planes." The wizard stood up and held his hand out to the rogue. "Now... my book, if you please?" He asked... Immediately followed by his lips silently miming out an additional sentence. "This is not a subject to discuss in polite society... If you are absolutely sure about this, then meet me somewhere before midnight... better I help you with this than you get involved with some demon cult or another."

He turned around and went back to Jethro, who he assuemd was still negotiating with the elves. His step carried a huff just slightly too juxtaposed with his covert offer of help... As if the gnome was playing an act. He hoped the tiefling would understand revulsion was to be considered the standard response in public.
I can only applaud someone taking the time and effort to fluff up a simple multiclass like this. Have a cookie @Sionnie
@VKAllenthen what do you mean? please clarify afore we get bogged down in another three pages of discussion.

@Sionnie can you do so as well?
@VKAllenerr... what spell do you mean? As far as I can see Sionnie is just asking for information... and yes, I doubt Galawayn would go and guide sionnie on an infernal pact... But I would see him leading her to make a sylvan pact considering he's a gnomish nobleman
I wrote some stuff in the google docs for ADP and... whoever is playing Vera to react to.
Name: Doctor Jethro Lowe
Affiliation: Neutral with rebel-leaning sympathies.
Appearance: Jethro is a middle-aged caucasian man usually dressed in casual wear. He is forced to carry a badge of identification visibly on him at all times and usually pins it to his chest. He is of a rather fragile lanky build, standing at 1 meter 74 and weighing in at 73 Kilograms.

Bio: Jethro has always been a rather empathic individual, so studying medicine came natural to him. He passed his tests to become a pokemon veterinarian with flying colors and joined into the vast bureaucracy of the country's pokemon healthcare system... He didn't last long.

His work there didn't feel like a doctor helping living creatures. Never could he properly follow up on his patients, working on them just long enough to patch them up from overexertion or mistreatment. He didn't feel like a doctor... He felt like a mechanic keeping expendable machinery in working order.

Still though, what options did he have? If not for him, then the regime's pokemon would only suffer more... The option of covert resistance remained. Association with underground resistance-figthers and radicals. Helping to spread the hope of a better day as best he could. Once already, he came dangerously close to being found out. A routine inspection turned up a single errant flyer... It got him a stay in the correctional facility and a revocation of his pokeball license.

Pokemon: A porygon he named A.C. (Assistant-Companion)

Pokemon bio: An early prototype of artificial pokemon creation. Jethro was assigned as handler of the porygon for his continued hard work. The pokemon's mechanical demeanour disturbed the veterinarian at first, but before long, the pokemon had become indispensible to Jethro. Both as a companion and as a helper. Now though, Jethro worries the pokemon wil be taken away when he so much as sneezes the wrong way.
you must remember we also start with ten days of rations, stuff for camping, and the like. plus 10 gold is a fair bit of coin. that's at least three fine meals, a night in a decent inn, and a nice bottle of wine. A good start i'd say.

It's even worse in pathfinder, where ten gold coins is almost a month's wage and a sold +1 magic weapon would allow you to comfortably retire.
Reasonable if frank gnome reply.
Galawayn wasn't really angry, not yet anyway. What he was right now though, was worried. The spellbook the rogue had lifted from his pockets was suite valuable to him. Not because of its contents, those could be replaced. He wanted the book itself back. Like his decorated staff, his spellbook too was a memento from home. The opening passages werent magical formulas but simply a collection of poetry from his mother and sister, the fine leather cover was tastefully decorated with the glarman family emblem. The book breathed nobility, much mike his staff.

"I don't know what you're trying to accomplish, and frankly I don't care. I see you set yourself down comfortably. Let me show I don't mean to fight right now." With a clatter, the staff was laid on the table, equally as far as the rogue had lais her weapons. "Now tell me... what's stopping me from calling the town guard on you for petty theft?"
