Although he is aware that some of the people may only have been hiding their questions, he respects them for the fact that at least they try not to antagonise him on first sight, unlike Dave. Upon being informed that they were trying to open the girls' dorm, Nautilus said "So that's what we've been trying to do..." and immediately took the position with the lowest energy state: lying flat on the ground, facing the skies. The party was planning to go through the main entrance, but suddenly a girl appeared from inside. Okay, we're in a trouble now, he thought as he stood up. The girl's appearance somehow made Nautilus's head naturally looking down. He just didn't want to look at her. It was not the trouble he imagined though, at least not yet, as some of the party members introduced themselves or ask for directions. Do not spook anyone from the academy, Nautilus reminded himself. He stood there, listening, trying not to make any suspicious movements.
