Updated, sorry for the delay, I am working one handed, due to an allergic reaction from a bee sting on my hand, so typing is not fun right now. I will be Posting OOc shortly and will begin the IC.
Name: Patrick O'Toole
Country of origin:Ireland
Specialty: Support - Combat Medic
Appearance:
Bio: Patrick is from Dublin, Ireland, he moved to the States as a child to receive better medical treatment. Diagnosed at an early age with mild dwarfism, his parents moved to Baltimore, Maryland to seek treatment at Johns Hopkins University. Unfortunately his condition was permanent and there was nothing the doctors could do.

Growing up different from other kids caused him to be bullied quite frequently as a child, but eventually those same bullies would learn to leave him alone. though it was usually after realizing that Patrick was the perfect height to head butt them in their balls. Learning to cope with his differences, Patrick became quite adept at listening to his friends and their problems. He learned that due to his obvious handicap, or what some saw as a handicap, they would tend to speak freely with him. Picking up on this Patrick honed his skills as he grew older and eventually was recruited into the intelligence community. After being recruited Patrick was forced to learn other skills, such as field medic first aid, laying down suppressive fire, and disarming security systems. At the age of 27 and the peak of his career some higher ups have recommended him for a special unit code named the Paracom Project,

Personality: Patrick has a mild form of dwarfism, he is a quiet individual, keeps mostly to himself, but he is a great listener. He has worked in the intelligence community for years as an intelligence gatherer and analyst. Due to his small stature many of his targets find him intimidating and disarming, which makes it easier to gather intel. In order to go on field missions, Patrick has learned combat first aid as well as advanced tactics to bypass security systems. He has become quit proficient with knives, and has begun using a vibroblade. He is also a crack shot with a rifle.
I will get some jobs posted for inside the vault to assist a bit more with the character creation process, all characters posted have been approved, I will get an OOC thread going this weekend and hopefully will have the first IC post up by Sunday evening.
If Olaf and Jack want to team up or something that would be really cool, I really want us to work together on this one, whether our characters are allied or not..
"Yes I've done this before," he said as he lifted his arm and showed a scar running half the length of his forearm. "Had a little run in with a sword wielding Taliban, in Afghanistan. Me and my team was pinned down so I had to stitch it myself one handed. You won't have a scare nearly this cool though," he teased gently. "I was in the Army for a few years and had lots of different training. As long as everyone keeps their heads cool we'll be ok."

He paused and listened to Yvette as he worked to clean the wound, ”I’m… not brave,” she said humbly.

"There is a difference between being afraid and being brave. I can understand your scared and afraid, you're injured after a plane crash and we have no idea where we are. Now the choice you have to make is whether you focus on those fears or take a deep breath and face those fears and then move beyond them. In your case I would worry about drinking those little bottles, let Jon and I take care of you. The simplest way to deal with this is to take one step at a time first you get better, then we'll figure out what your next step is. For me once we get you stitched up, I'm going to try to get a makeshift shelter built for you and the other injured. Now please be Brave for me and drink your alcohol, and I'll be right here to take care of you."

Mike squeezed her hand reassuringly before calling for Jon, "Hey Jon, I've got Yvette's wound clean, and I'm ready when you are sir."
Great back story, loved the PM, definitely approved.
Hanging out in IRC come chat
Mike re-entered the aft part of the fuselage, he was able to make it to the storage cabin where the food and drinks were stored. He found two large First Aid kits as well as some bottles of water. He threw 7 or 8 bottles of water into a bag, and grabbed some of the small bottles of alcohol. He exited the ruins carefully and sprinted back towards Jon and Yvette. When he reached them he saw another female lying not far from Yvette with Jon checking over her.

He walked over to Jon and handed him a first aid kit, "Here ya go Jon, I grabbed some water bottles to, we can use the clean water to clean the wounds for stitches, and let them drink some of the alcohol to deaden the pain. I bet there's Aspirin and Tylenol in the kits but I doubt anything stronger than that. While you work with this lady here I'll try to get Yvette prepped for ya, since she will definitely need some stitches."

Mike turned and walked back to Yvette, "Ok Hun," he said in his thick Southern accent, "I don't know if you've ever drank before but I need you to drink a few of these bottles here, the alcohol will deaden the pain." Mike knelt by Yvette's leg and examined it once more for himself. He opened the first Aid kit and pulled out a pair of scissors, "Alright, I hate to do this but I'm going to have to cut away a bit of your pants around the wound so it can be bandaged cleanly."

Working quickly, Mike had a small area of the fabric cleared away, carefully he poured some of the water around the wound where the metallic debris penetrated her skin. "I'm cleaning around the edges of the wound, I'm getting the dirt and dried blood away so Jon can pull it out. Once it's out we'll clean the inside of the wound and get you stitched up."

Mike carefully laid out the sterile pack of gauze on a clean blanket and left the pack unopened; he pulled out the needle and thread and then the bottles of rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. It wasn't much in the way of supplies but it should be enough to fix this wound if they were careful.

Looking up at Yvette, Mike spoke again, "You're bein' brave Hun, I've got everything cleaned up and ready for Jon. When all of this is done we'll try to round you up some clean clothes to put on. Now you just hang tight, Jon will be over any sec now."
Awesome sounds like fun
