Also I have collected our work (both Broken skies and Jewel of the Skies) in word docs so I won't lose them should they disappear from the site.

Am still playing around with the music and restructuring the map I originally had made so I can hopefully put it all together.

And some more music to enjoy:

Name: Ismengarde Vollsung (Ise)

Appearance:

Alias(es): Nagthexe, Valkyrie

Age: 26

Gender: Female

Description: Ismengarde is a tall with long legs and athletic build, she has eyes that hold a myriad of colours, much like a crystal reflecting light.
Her blonde hair often seems to grow even paler when she uses her magic. It is long and flows freely as it seems to have a mind of its own. When she can restrain it however she wears it up, making sure she secures it tightly.
Her skin is akin to ivory or porcelain and if it were not for that splurge of colour that her lips provide you would think she was more similar to a block of ice than a person. Her red lips seem unusual and it almost seems too bright a colour in comparison to the rest.
She usually wears flowing well fitted garments as her family can afford them, whilst the clicking of her heeled boots often make her even taller then she already is.

Role: Battlemage

Specialty: Ice, Cold, Air

Personality:
Guarded, Ismengarde is quite the enigma a trait her family has kept all those years, despite their direct nature.
She however is not someone to take lightly, she firmly will stand her ground, though with less of a temper and fire perhaps than her sister.
Others regard her as distant, it is however quite the opposite. She is a worrywart, mostly concerned for her sisters and the family, watching them like a hawk.
Despite her best intentions however, she can seem cold or calculating, since she doesn’t always speak her mind. She also is ambitious, stubborn and whilst she tries to remain stoic she can be easily ticked off when you find out her weaknesses.
Her warm heart often remains hidden, as she places the family’s wellfare before her own.

Background:
The Vollsung family is a rather well known family, both in respect and for those not as closely associated with them with a good deal of fear.
It is a wealthy family belonging to the higher echelons of Belisio´s nobility.
The three sisters were raised by their grandmother, having lost their father in one of the earlier skirmishes and their mother passsing away in grief, shortly after, leaving three very impressionable girls in the hands of their Grandmother; Comtesse Eleonora Vollsung, known by her nickname The White Widow.

The Vollsung family has always offered the kingdom its aid by allowing their sons and daughters to fight and bolster the Belisian army, mostly as powerful Battlemages.
Their skill and aptitude at magic used to guard and defend the realm and teach those gifted if so desired.
Ismengarde and her sister Scorshe’hera have chosen a path as Battlemages, where their elder sister Veresandhe acts as more of an advisor and gentle teacher.

Equipment:
Seeing as Ismengarde can make most her weapons herself she carries relatively little save for the basics;
- Mage Robes, finely crafted and spellwoven robes that give her a proper deal of protection, though it is mostly still cloth and leathers, her protection mostly comes from her own magic to which the robes have been finely attuned and enchanted to.
Her Battlerobes, Boots and Gloves are such that they cover her almost entirely, safe for her upper neck and head.
- Headpiece a blind metal mask that allows her to center her focus and enhance her magic. It is a brilliant work of art and quite capable of withstanding damage from some ricocheting debris, a full on attack however will tear through it.
- She also carries a ceremonial dagger made from some strange kind of crystal and relatively light clothing.

Abilities:
She works with Ice magic;
- Her touch chills any fluid, stilling engines and shock freezing her enemies.

- She can also shape the fluids near her into any form she desires, from armour to weapons.

- She can create blinding blizzards if needs be.

- She can read ancient Runes, gaining further understanding from them when asked straightforward questions from them and the great parlor tricks such as fortune telling.

- She can Fly; thanks to her skills with the element of air.

Name: Scorshe’hera Vollsung (Sindra)

Appearance:

Alias(es): Wyldfire, Cinderqueen and The Vollsung Feniks.

Age: 30

Gender: Female

Description: Sindra is the smallest of the three, though her head full of fiery red hair does make up for some of it. Her green eyes turn to a piercing molten gold whenever she uses her magic and she is the fairest of the three as well as the wildest in temper and extravagant in her dress.
She mostly wears heels, to perhaps make up for some of that loss of height often sporting revealing dresses much to the chagrin of Ise and the gentle smiles of Veerle.
Her love for dancing has given her great flexibility and an athletic build, though perhaps more voluptuous than poor Ise.

Role: Battlemage

Specialty: Fire, Pyromancy

Personality:
Scorshe’hera or Sindra as her sisters lovingly call her is a temperamental woman. Passionate and emotive, hungry and direct, she is the most changeable and volatile of the sisters.
She loves passionately and is known to have her score of bedfellows, men who got to know the Secondborn sister up close and personal.
Whilst this could damage a woman’s reputation, she is highly desirable and somewhat of a challenge as her men and relationships never last long.
She is rather proud and extremely protective of her two other sisters as well, although she must confess somewhat more of ‘Veerle’ than of ‘Ise’.

Equipment:
- A pair of circle blades that she usually has strapped at her hip.
- A headpiece, part mask, part helmet, to prevent her luscious locks from burning.
- Her specialized suit; a heatproof armour that supplies her flames with more fuel, the flammable concoction she can shoot at her enemies allow her to lessen the strain and toll that magic takes of mages, turning her effectively into a human torch.
- Build into her boots are powerful boosters, allowing her to jump across distances of land more smoothly.

Abilities:

- Fire magic;
- She can deal with higher temperatures, though if unprotected and struck properly she can burn.
- She can as easily snuff fires in her nearest vicinity as start them, this allows her to use her suit and become an ever lasting flame.

- She is quite athletic and uses her flexibility and speed to pounce upon her enemies.
Concerning that though...any ideas on the structures of power?

With that I mean if a new class of citizens (the wealthy traders) rises to power, did you have any intention into dividing Westeros into regions that have specific goods and thus if one wanted to play for example a powerful merchant/owner of a coalmine or a manufacturer owning several factories it would be regionally specific?

Also how far do you allow them to advance? Or is that to be determined in the RP?

Right I just wanted to be sure about that.

Could you imagine a Railroad works being build through Westeros? Undoubtedly funded by the Ironbank.
Enjoy it while it lasts, you know I am a sucker for drama and catastrophe ;p
Good to know, I was concerned there for a second.

You said no steam punk so I am thinking you don't want steam engines or an industrial revolution, but focus more on the war aspects correct?
Thank you, also writing with you did pull me through the year mentally so know that I value and appreciate your neverending patience for said breadcrumbs.

Also Eilis just went for it...;)
I'd love a ASOIAF and a take on how guns and (assuming the death of Magic once more) changed things as a whole.
Though perhaps it is a bit daunting to factor in the other continents and places, because as a starting point Westeros is large enough of its own as a set up.

Taking his right hand off the reins, he placed on top of her left one. Grabbing it, he brought it towards her stomach placing it just on her lap. Then he would wrap his whole arm around her waist in a snug embrace bring her even closer in a secure manner. His own Aether energy began to chase away the tendrils of fear like water cooling down tongues of flames.

Eilis felt herself blush brightly, yet Arn’s energy felt like the comforting touch of warm water or smooth silk enveloping her and chasing away the tension that had build up in her body. The strong grip and hold never felt uneasy or uncomfortable and secretly she wished he would always hold her close like that. Wrapped in his warmth and almost close enough that she could hear his heartbeat if she were to lay her head down on his chest. She listened to him take a deeper breath than before and form a reply of his own. She closed her eyes intending to listen and to fix his voice to memory.

“We share the same fears. I cannot see myself lingering in this world long if you were not in it.” His face was close to hers. The strong baritone of his voice crisp but low. “When I said that I would give my life for you, I did not mean that I would carelessly throw it away. My goal is to free you so that…” It was his turn to falter but he followed her example and gather up his courage. “To be free to perhaps stay with me.”

Her own lips now as it released a hopeful short chortle, forcing herself to shut up immediately.
Turning practically crimson even her tattoo’s flared up in confusion. This time so fast and bright, that one could almost watch the emotion run its course through her body; from her heart out to her head and fingertips all in but seconds.
She tried to keep herself calm and continued to listen, but failed miserably as Arn continued.

He shrugged his big shoulders as if he wanted to apologize for this seemingly weak reason to face whatever horrors lay in front of them.
“I do not know what we may find in Sensaridh, but I do know that I will face anything to see you free. To see you smile and to hear you laugh. You deserve that.” His throat failed him then as a knot took over it. He gulped a couple of times to get rid of it but it would not. Instead, he smiled at her comfortingly and his right arm never loosened its hold on her.

She turned to face him however and in a flash of insanity, bravery and completely ignoring her own self criticism she moved before she could even think. Her eyes trying to catch a glimpse of his before closing them and kissing him.
The silence of the Nightly Skies now seemed to sing louder, whilst the darkness that surrounded them was pierced by the brightness of the stars and the many deep and rich colours of Nightblue that were painted across the horizon.
As her lips released his her embarrassment returned, yet instead of giving in to its negativity, this time she couldn’t help but smiling genuinely, giddily, as the strong feelings ran rampant through her body.

Tyrhallan who had kept his position at the rear had gotten suspicious when the sudden flare of light lit up Umbra.
Knowing it belonged to Arn and Eilis he immediately scanned the skies around them for danger, sending Viscera up above to oversee the situation.
He was greeted however by calm clear and empty skies everywhere he looked. No sign of danger or even a change of weather patterns.
So what was up with the lightshow then?
It was dangerous and could potentially attract unwanted attention. Taking one more look around he sped up and circled around, diving down in front of them to resume his place at the rear.
But not before getting to the bottom of this.
As he flew past them however, their unnatural bodycontour gave away their rather intimate moment and Tyrhallan's concern and eagerness fatlered.
He didn’t have the heart to disturb and ruin it for the two of them.
Smirking silently he guided Viscera back to the rear of their little group, silently pretending nothing had been seen or noticed.
As he flew past the dragon Alexa and Tobias were flying on, he could practically see the gleam of pearly whites on the victorious smile of the latter, pointing at Tyrhallan in a 'I told you so!' style and manner.
Tyrhallan let it slide knowing he would owe the apprentice 5 silvers for betting the Master Mage would stay professional. Clearly he had underestimated the connection the two of them had, and apparently their feelings for one another couldn’t wait until they had proper land beneath them again.
The Knight Captain shook his head whilst internally laughing, he wished them well and frankly they were a rather good match.
As his eyes focussed on their Wyrm again he wondered how he would've reacted if he had found himself in Arn’s position.
He touched the bandage that covered his eye, certainly this would help sorting the more genuine people from the superficial, when it came to looks.
His mind drifted back to the days of youth, his Mother's endless attempts to 'find him a bride' or the many balls he was forced to attend. How he had learned to walk at a more fluid and quicker pace so the hordes of raging hormones had little chance in keeping up with him.
And at times he had simply tested the intelligence of the dolled up girls by asking them tricky riddles or impossible questions, just as a diversion as most of the time these mindless girls were set upon a target by their ambitious familymembers and had no idea about the person they were trying to get hitched to.
He wondered at times if he shouldn’t have listened to his good friend Abene and married that supposed sister of his.
Considering how good of a person and strong of character he had been, some of that must have been upbringing, so potentially also there within the sister.
Well, there’s no point wondering about the ‘could have beens’ now was there.
They had bigger things to concern themselves with. Like his duty as a Knight of Belisio. His duty to safeguard those under his care at this moment. His duty to his family would have to wait, Eilis and Belisio needed to be saved before he could start thinking of giving into the opportunities of the heart.
Of thinking of his own happiness…

Yeah for me to go and no worries its no secret.
Basically you know I work as a Nurse's aide in a nursing home, right? I have steady employment there and have been given the opportunity to work on getting a higher level degree, becoming a full nurse instead of the aide I am now.
For that to happen though I have to go back to school, 2 years of studying. Normally, you'd have to pay for that yourself/get a loan with student rates or your work/boss can pay for it as an investment in you.

I basically have been given the latter, an opportunity where they pay for your schooling, unless you decide it isn't for you or you fail to keep your end of the bargain by not getting that degree, if so then you have to pay them back.

So I go to school for 1 day in the week, next to working my normal hours of my contract. In order to get the 'practical time in' they also roster in some time for school and study.
Now the past weeks have been crazy since we(another colleague and I) had been given the go head to sign up for the school expecting to start somewhere in February...however...they started sooner...like come in the day after tomorrow for your introduction and bring a letter of motivation. Here's a studyguide, a list of books you need to buy and oh the first schoolday will be the Januari 24th.

Basically I went from: Oh great we are going to go back to school to....OH SHIT! I have to get this done, buy a new laptop, books aaaaargggh! Need to sign agreements and have to get all of this done for the 24th.
I didn't even know who my mentor would be at work, but now that most of that is over and done with I can relax knowing I can go to school and focus on my studies. ;)
