An RP done entirely in Latin would be amazing

About Me:
I started roleplaying around age 12, giving me about 11 years experience. I'm a hobby writer who makes subpar fantasy and sci-fi novels on the side and have dabbled in the world of light novels to give my drawing skills a bit of practice. I'm by no means a professional or even really a 'good' writer, but I do try my hardest. Unfortunately, I am a very busy person so I often simply don't have the time to put the level of quality revision and editing into my posts that I'd like. That said, I am committed to creating the best experience for my fellow roleplayers when I join their RPs. I am a busy person, however, so know that I may drop an RP if I become unable to devote any more significant time into it.

I mostly take part in Fantasy RPs and Nation RPs. While I enjoy romance side plots in other RPS I do, I generally don't do Romance focused RPs except on occasions. I am okay to do Romance RPs on 1x1, however, note that I usually have to be in a particular mood for these RPs so I am not always up for doing them. For this reason, when I want to do such roleplay, I seek out a partner myself. I am fine with writing mature/18+ scenes, however, I typically find them boring and uninteresting to write (sorry, I'm not much of an erotica writer). As stated above, I am LGBT and Trans friendly, so LGBT Romance subplots and RPs are totally fine by me.

In terms of characters, I'm most likely to roleplay women, as I am one, though I can roleplay any gender. I enjoy exploring the characters and fleshing them out as they grow in the setting.

I am often told that I can come off as rude, and while I like to play it up a bit and be something of a tsundere, and I am trying to work on it, but please note that I am not much of a social person, even on the online realm, and I may take a while to respond to messages or not give you a very detailed response. Feel free to message me for purposes related to the RPs we are mutually a part of, though. I love to discuss things concerning the games to give them a more interconnected and realistic feeling.

As stated above, I have dyslexia, and it can be a pain in the ass sometimes. Don't be afraid to point out mistakes in my writing, I have a tendency to misspell, and I want to be made aware if it's particularly bad. I also speak a variety of languages, and if you are interested in RPing in a language other than English, I am more than happy to do so. Check out my Langauge Competencies list to see what I am capable of using.

My interests are High Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Nation Games, Alternate History, and Video Games. I'm not crazy about Anime, but I watch a few here and there, but I'm hardly the person to go on a long discussion on Anime about (I don't really see it as much different than any other animation, sorry.), same with Manga. However, don't go all weeb on me, I'm part-Japanese sansei myself, so obsession with and fetishization of Japan and Japanese people annoys the shit out of me and if you do it I will likely have a few strong words to say to you before I block you. No, I don't care if you're also Japanese. In that case, you're not a weeb, you're just a dime-a-dozen nationalist and that's even worse in my eyes.

Anyway, I hope to have some enjoyable RPs with you all. Let's have some fun.

Name: Heilong Yu

Title:
Queen of Severed Heads

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Yu appears as a woman of 30 years of age, the time when aging ceased for her. Many will be quick to comment on Yu’s beauty, something that is indeed the cornerstone of her rise to power. Heilong Yu has a long, slender face, with large brown eyes, and a narrow nose. Her body is noticeably muscular, yet maintains a look of leanness. Yu wears a yellow Quju Shenyi, wrapped towards the left of her body. As well, Yu has an ornate headdress, made of the skull of a goat, and the antlers of a deer, carved and adhered into an imposing crown. Yu’s skin is unnaturally white, while the sclera of her eyes is a sickly yellow. Her teeth have become pointed and serrated, as well as significantly longer than a normal humans.

Personality:
Heilong Yu is, as one would expect from a vampiric empress, ambitious and ruthless. As Empress, she maintained order through rule of fear, and as such, she has a very much authoritarian air to her, with little room for nonsense and a desire for quick, efficient actions.

Despite her brutality in rulership, Yu was noted for her pleasant personality, with a very soft manner of speaking, great courtesy, and otherwise hospitable behavior. This is the thing that keeps her from being totally unlikable and monstrous; and is a trait she learned while rising through the ranks from a slave-wife to a high priestess and empress. However, one should not mistake Yu’s friendliness for genuine compassion and kindness; she is notoriously pragmatic and utilitary towards others, and has no problem disposing of those who are no longer of use to her.

Ideals:
Yu aspires only for her own power an domination over others, and does all she can to increase her own power.

Biography:
While Vampires have made their most damaging attack on humanity in the form of the medieval Black Empire of Erebus, however those who are knowledgeable of Vampires and their existence are likely aware of one of the earliest, and perhaps the most brutal of vampiric nations, the Heilong Kingdom.

The Heilong were a tribe of vampires that had migrated to the continent of Yazou in the Bronze Age, and established a kingdom of modest size. Like all empires of the vampires, the country was ruled by a vampiric aristocracy, with humans and mythical beings being little more than slaves, with large scale human sacrifice to the gods of the Vampires taking place. Outside of this empire was a woman born human, who was sold off to the Emperor of the the Vampires, changed into a vampire and locked away as a byproduct of diplomacy. This woman was named Yu, given the name Heilong. However, Yu was not willing to simply be resigned to a life as an undesired wife.

Yu had a skill that set her apart from the many other women obtained from alliances and treaties; a great power in magic, particularly illusion and enchantment. Through her skills, manipulation and convincing of her husband, Yu achieved the status of a minor priestess, slowly rising up to become a high shaman and oracle. Through the power and respect of her status as a high priestess, Yu managed to develop powerful links to vassals and warlords, eventually using these connections to exterminate her husband and his other wives, rising up to take his position as Queen of Heilong.

The rule of Queen Yu was a cruel and brutal theocracy, with wide scale human sacrifice, a favorite of which was large numbers of beheadings with an axe, performed with Queen Yu herself as executioner, with the bodies dismembered for augury and the heads boiled and steamed, then sealed in one of “Yu’s Owls”, vessels of bronze that were sealed shut with human offerings and placed in the temple of the Morthail Gods; these vessels shaped like owls. The massive scale of slaughter served a few purposes; it helped to maintain the authority of the Queen through fear, provided the necessary practice of religion, allowed dead bodies to be resurected for military purposes, and, a final purpose that had been planned by Yu.

Yu, a skilled enchanter, knew that the souls of humans and other intelligent, sapient life provided powerful bonds through their massive energy. Traditionally, an enchanter would use a piece of their own soul, at the cost of a shortened lifespan depending on the scale of the enchantment, to bind magic to an item. Yu had found a way to empower herself, creating an enchantment to capture the souls of those killed by her axe, and seal them within the axe, and by extension, distribute power to herself for use in magic and enchanting, able to create powerful enchantments by sacrificing a whole human soul in a bond, as well as fully absorb a soul to increase her own abilities. After centuries of wide scale human sacrifice with her enchanted axe, Heilong Yu had reached the peak ability of a vampire’s body, as well as reached unmatched power in magic so long as the axe was in her possession.

Eventually, however, Heilong Yu would be deposed, in her sleep, as her jade sarcophagus was carried off by her disgruntled vassals, and burned in a pyre, with Yu burning in her sarcophagus. Though, Yu would survive in the form of her Axe, her own soul bound to it, residing within the weapon after her death. The Axe was taken as a trophy, and eventually passed down, with the weapon remaining as powerful as on it’s day of creation as it carried on for centuries, absorbing more life as it killed more. The Jade Coffin that the Queen of Severed Heads slept in was taken from its fiery end and thrown into the ocean, where it would be carried off by the tides for 2000 years, before arriving in the lands of the now powerful, Black Empire of Erebus. A local cult, the Morthail of Heilong, a group dedicated to the practice of ancient ritual done by vampires in the Heilong Kingdom, came into possession of the sarcophagus and the Axe of Heilong Yu, and placed them in one of their temples; offering the sarcophagus with Yu’s body sacrifices of Blood, seeing her as a spirit of Morthail. Eventually, however, Yu’s soul entombed in her axe was able to use the blood to repair her body, and take it back, returning to life some 2000 years after her execution. The Heilong Cultists were killed one by one, to serve their master as entrapped souls in her axe, as Yu left, seeking out a course of action in her newfound surrounding.

Powers:
Dark Magic - Heilong Yu is a powerful sorcerer with access to abilities of black magic in the form of illusion and enchantment.
Healing by Blood - As a vampire, Yu can heal and repair her body by consuming human or similar blood.

Peak Condition - Yu is at the peak of physical ability for a vampire of her age, capable of great physical feats

Thrall Creation: Yu is able to form a binding on weakened humans, usually those she has fed upon, turning them into slaves with full obedience to her.

Weapons:
Heilong Axe - The Heilong Axe is a weapon crafted from bronze and jade, enchanted to steal and seal away the souls of those that it kills. Those who are sealed in the weapon experience great torment as they are slowly torn apart to feed Yu’s power. Souls that are trapped within may also be accessed by a skilled enchanter to be used in a binding. The head of the axe is made of bronze, with jade inlays to decorate the mad gaze and grin cut into the weapon. The Axe grants several powerful gifts to its possessor, such as the ability to walk in ambient light, superior strength and agility, and spellcasting ability

Equipment:
Yu carries a small leather satchel of herbs and stones that she uses for spells and divination. As well as a torch to light when in need of a fire. Yu also carries a parasol to protect her from direct sunlight.

Weaknesses:
Yu is unable to be directly exposed to the sun. The Heilong Axe allows her to be exposed to ambient sunlight, so long as she stays in the shade, but direct sunlight will severely injure her.

Yu suffers from epilepsy, a common problem with Humans turned Vampire. The seizures range from short lapses in consciousness to full spasmic attacks. This makes long, physically taxing fights rather dangerious for Yu, as she may slip into a seizure at any time during a particularly long fight. As such, she will try to avoid any conflict she can’t simply deal with quickly.

While Yu is formidable as a Vampire alone, the Heilong Axe is the source of most of her power. If deprived of the Axe, Yu’s magic and fighting skill drop dramatically

Yu is from the Bronze Age, and most all of her equipment is very primitive

Yu is unable to enter into areas sanctified against vampires

Gonna put one in while I have the chance

Name: Marie Lacour

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance:
Marie Lacour is 5'5" (1.65 m), very thin to an almost unhealthy degree, with Black hair, green eyes, and lightly tanned skin from her father's side. Marie tends to wear her hair back up in a ponytail to keep it out of her face, and wears rather non-descript black clothing most of the time in her current hiding state. She's rather dirty looking, having spent the last year of her life hiding in the dense woods of North Carolina, tracking witches and evading their capture.

Personality: Marie used to be happy and friendly a long time ago, and on occasion, this old personality shows through. However, the vast majority of Marie's expression comes in the form of paranoia and anxiety. Quick to react violently, especially when confronted by those that are not familiar to her, and very distrustful of all those who she would consider familiar. For the most part, Marie is asocial by choice, preferring to stay hidden away in the dense forests outside of Carlsford, hidden away from the witches she scorned with her betrayal and departure. Marie feels deep feelings of failure and persecution, partial contributed by her slowly worsening psychosis.

Bio:
The story of Marie Lacour begins with the meeting of Aaron Lacour, a Cajun student of business, and Sabine Duret, a student from Rouen in France. From there first meeting in Louisiana, it was decided that the two would marry and that Aaron would relocate to France with Sabine. And with the birth of their first child, Marie Acadie Lacour; began the downfall of not only their own lives, but the beginning of a tragic fate to unspin with the girl.

Marie and her two siblings, Maxine and Jules spent the majority of their childhood lives in the city of Rouen. For the most part, life was good for the family. However, Aaron and Sabine always took a notice to the odd behavior of Marie. The growing problems of the child, particularly Marie, began to take their toll on the stability of the family, and slowly, animosity between Aaron and Sabine reached a peak when Marie was 13 years of age, when a severe mental breakdown led to her attempting suicide, culminating in a long period of mental health examination, concluding with her being declared afflicted with Paranoid Schizophrenia. Only a year later, Marie's parents divorced, and Aaron decided to relocate to the United States once again, taking Marie and Jules with him; Maxine staying in France with Sabine. Marie began to blame herself for the separation of her family, a feeling coupled with her father's distance towards her, and her sister's outright hatred of her shortly after the separation. Aaron, unable to find work in his native Louisiana, moved his family to Charlotte, and later was moved to Carlsford by his employer. The move was hard on the already mentally unstable Marie, who had never lived in such a small and foreign place before. Unlike her 8 year old brother, the 14 year old Marie never was able to fully fit into the new society she was living in, and remained something of an outcast her entire life, finding little support in her resenting father, her family in France, with only her brother showing any kind of concern for her. From this point on, Marie took on the philosophy to just go with life, and try to be happy, do not fight against others, and try to be optimistic, lest the worst happen in life.

At age 17 Marie began feeling strange urges to paint and inscribe symbols. It was brushed off by her and her family as schizophrenia-related, though for her, these urges felt different from anything she had felt before. A young girl caught sight of Marie's drawings and symbols, and immediately was intrigued, she began to talk to her more, and soon the two girls, the other named Melanie, but known as Mel by Marie, became close friends. Mel introduced Marie to magic and the art of witches, intrigued by Marie's strange symbols, which she recognized as a form of runemal enchanting native to Normandy, Marie's native region of France. Marie thought little of it and initially did not believe Mel. By 18, Marie began to develop romantic feelings for her friend and the two became a couple, though Aaron, disapproving of this, expelled Marie from his home. Hurt, Mel informed Marie that she could keep her somewhere, and thus, Marie was introduced into the Carlsford Coven.

While initially seen as untrustworthy and a potential traitor for her schizophrenia, Marie was later accepted among the coven as a skilled enchanter, using her natural skill in Runic Binding to attribute power to items. However, Marie had always had problems with the morality of the coven. This culminated in her eventual killing of a fellow witch in defense of a common human. Marie declared a traitor and was sentenced to die, and as such, she fled, hoping to take refuge in France, but soon taking on a change of heart while hiding away in the dark forests of North Carolina, deciding that instead of hiding and being hated like she always was, to fight back. As of now, Marie is an independent hunter, killing any witch that she comes in contact with, tracking other down, and efficient at it with her very intimate knowledge of the coven. She is, however, distrustful of other hunters, given her nature as essentially a turncoat witch.

Weapon Specialty: Marie fights with a Crossbow. Her Bows are usually enchanted, and her custom arrow heads are forged from silver alloys and the heads are dipped in olive oils and juices.
