Some of the more niche boards are pretty decent, but so damn slow. They have a decent history board of you look deep enough, although a large part of the board is (naturally) Roman Empire related.

8chan in its current state still is plagued by the mind cancer that contagiously has spread since September. I hope said cancer gets a cure soon since the site has potential.
8chan giving starving kids in Africa food?

The same 8chan that had a board dedicated to planning for a recolonization of Namibia?

Okay time to talk about something else.

I once binge watched a TV show for 16 hours straight and at 5 AM kept hearing them talk inside my head in-character when I was in the shower.

I don't know why that happened. I think it may be Tetris effect on steroids or something.

It gets weirder though.

They actually were pretty dynamic in their behavior, like they'd reply to me if I talked to them in context and not just randomly use statements but say things they never said before, even words they never said in the show itself. They even openly stated that they leaped into my head through memetic exposure. I could influence their behavior by thought (To a degree), but I couldn't make them go away until a few days later simply due to being occupied with other things.
8chan is full of idiots and hypocrites.

Never have I seen a site where people complain about cultural degeneration than seemingly proceed to avidly post child porn, incest and effective beastiality (they have two furry boards in the top 25- enough said). You'd think there would at least be a lot more infighting, but I haven't seen much which makes me believe it's the same people posting on different boards.

But hey, free speech right guys?
I don't think so duck. I've completely avoided describing individual ship types and haven't gotten any shit for it.

As for me, I'll admit that I may be prioritizing other things before this RP like my own universe or making sure I know my law of cosines. However, I do have revisions in mind for my faction in terms of tech. Like making them have a laser fetish and giving them computers based around connective fibers.

First post I already have a idea for what to do, it's not interaction related however. My current concern is that terminal's faction may slaughter me with their conjuring of anti-matter before I can do anything cool.

Maybe I should get on good terms with @Mihndar somehow. They'll probably despise my species from a ideological standpoint unless they believe in cultural relativism however.

I also wonder if they'll make a meknik-noviran brotherhood.

It isn't easy being feudal and green.
Option 2!

Every Tumblrina, every slash artist on dA, every commenter on YouTube.

Many people tend to segregate their online behavior from their behavior in real life. Of course, there's exceptions. In a English class I took over the spring, one of my peers openly had a pony shirt and argued with a member in my group about SJWs and feminism. It was a bit surreal.

Impacts aside, I see it as more productive to play video games than argue about what's in them all day on twitter or spend all day lurking said arguments. The arguments are just the same every time again and again. It's nauseous just to read or listen to internet gender politics. It's mind cancer spread contagiously through the internet and despite the illusion of importance it gives, it's all just a massive garbage distraction that is just going to lead everyone in a circus ride where everyone hates each other. I'm not surprised there are people who browse these shouting matches and conclude the human race (at least in the west and Japan) will slowly die off as men prefer the company of sex bots and women close themselves into hugboxes. Echo chambers are great at creating illusions of importance. Yet when I search anything outside this subset of the internet, suddenly it has no influence!

The idea that neo-reactionaries are gaining power and support has truth to it, but I see the whole online polarization with gender politics that's occurred in the past 5 years as more a symptom than a cause.
What... Sorry I was too distracted by some of the sigs and avatars in this thread to hear what the dude with the speech impediment was saying. What's important about this?

Since if this is just more of that silly polarizing toxic attention grabbing, blogger stroking, tabloid stuffing, anger pandering, single minded, overly sensationalizing, hot air filled, community breaking meme that is the eFeminism debacle, I have no interest.

As for vilage's fears of resurgent reactionaries- meh, just a bunch of people flinging digital hot air at each other and acting like it's a big deal. This stuff is cyclical, it gets intense that cools down time in and time out since it's just a massive time wasting farce. You're better off playing video games really.
Hey terminal, I got a idea.

What if people can PM you planets/star systems that get displaced that have no faction affiliations you place pseudo-randomly (I.e using GM Judgement) around your map? Maybe even mark them with a ? and only reveal the nature of said planet/star system when a player warps to the mystery system. You might get some cryptic alien ruins, a planet where it rains polymers and has regions where plastics cover the surface, planets with really eldritch mega fauna and so on. With the creativity of all the players this RP has attracted there's no telling what someone may stumble upon.

Personally I think this RP could be all the more chaotic is all we get are displaced player territories and some odd planets / star systems + Your aforementioned anomalies scattered about as "neutral" territory in this new universe. Just think, civilizations that were used to probably having millions of star systems between their neighbors now thrust in a (relatively) resource scarce universe, if only due to the voids between the stars being huge, dwarfing that seen between stars in a spiral galaxy.

(Note my impression of this RP is that the true vacuum has displaced a whole universe, not galaxy of civilizations- so no one has any idea who anyone else is with one or two exceptions (even than, I could see terminal putting large distances between said players) I see as wholly plausibile, universes are huge!)
I'll be missing until tues/wens since I have a exam this Monday for math. I'm locking down the hatches, so if I'm missing it's not because I dropped the RP.
