A much more relatable experience to me than you might think.

I’ve noticed surprisingly many.
*Gravity shifts again, now plummeting us toward the surface of the planet, whose black surface appears to be vibrating*

It was. Unfortunately.

I knew someone with that skill at one point too, but everyone I knew turned out to be good-for-nothing traitors.
*Glances at you*
And my enemy a helpful ally. There “fate” goes again.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

You were there. Remember the guy who… Who tried to help my brother?

*Nods*
That was him, then?
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

*Rubs the back of my head*
I kinda burned my bridge with the one guy I know with that capability too…

What did you do, exactly?
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

I would say no. Matters of detecting and attacking a soul are not in my skillset. It's a pretty niche field.

Believe it or not, that’s not mine either. Especially without the souls I had collected.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

And it’s the only place for certain? No soul division shenanigans to be concerned about?

For certain? Do you have some way to check?
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

What makes it the heart?

Its soul resides there. As for why that destination in particular is the heart of the beast, I have no idea.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

Then time is of the essence. You have a destination in mind, I can only imagine? Where are we going and what are we doing there?

We're visiting the heart and taking it out. I've mapped out the most direct route.

An analogy I can get behind. You still feeling alright? I know you resist it, but if you feel it ever even remotely affecting you, I need to know.

You have my word.
*Gold flashes across my irises*
This, however, is that accursed god who would like to retrieve his soul. At the worst possible time.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

*Glances backward over my shoulder at the world we’re leaving*
As the bubonic plague or something, I hope. Common cold germs would be awful to be in this analogy.

There was a disease from my homeworld—we called it renha. The story isn't important, but it was very deadly, and I hope we get to be just as painful today.
