Create a Hero RPG Season 3

Screen Name: NiteMare Shape

Character you have created: Scott Hunter
Alias: Icon

Speech Color (actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not):
as Scott
As Icon

Character Alignment: Hero
Identity: Secret to the public

Character Personality(Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): He is a man who doesn't fully understand himself. He grew up not too far from Lost Haven in Conway New Hampshire. It's a small ski resort town several just several hours south of the city. Although he grew up a normal kid with normal a normal family, he is anything but normal. He has amazing powers that he doesn't fully understand. While he was growing up he hated himself, he was angry at the world for making him a "freak." He wanted nothing to do with his powers, he just wanted a normal life. However, as time went on and he grew older he learned to deal with his powers, and eventually he embraced them. He believes in fighting for what is right. He believes in protecting the weak, and making sure that they are taken care of. Overall, he is a good man with great power, trying to do the right thing.

Uniform/costume: See below

When he is not in costume fighting villains or trying to stop general catastrophe he runs a nightclub called The Hub with his best friend Eric Dean.

Origin Info/Details: Scott Hunter may seem like a normal guy, but he is anything but. Everything about him is a lie, his parents, his older brother as well as his younger sister. None of it is real. Although they raised him as their son, he isn't. In fact, he isn't even really human. Scott was the result of a secret experiment by atop secret government agency that mixed alien DNA with that of a human. While he was a baby; he was cared for by a woman named Barbara Hill, who was a member of the top secret government agency. What the objective of this experiment was is unknown. While going about her daily tasks at the project, Dr. Hill learned that the program had been terminated, all evidence was to be destroyed, and the baby known only then as SKT-17 (she affectionately called him "Scott") was to be eliminated. Having recently lost her own child due to the actions of a drunk driver who also claimed the life of Dr. Hill's husband, she could not stand the thought that this child who she began to see as her own, could be killed. She stole the child from the laboratory which created him, and fled to the north. She gave the child to a trusted friend, Jacob Hunter and his young bride Elizabeth. Soon after, Dr. Hill was tracked down by agents of the government unit and killed. Jacob and Elizabeth took the young baby, and continued calling him Scott as they felt that there would be no need to change his name, seeing as that is what Dr. Hill had called him his whole life.

Scott was raised by the Hunters as one of their own children. He always knew that he was different, that he had these abilities, but he never understood why. As his powers developed throughout his childhood, he became increasingly confused and angry. This was a cause for concern for his parents, because they never understood exactly why their son was this way. When Jacob died when Scott was still just a child, Scott blamed himself for his father's death, feeling that it was the pressure of raising a "freak" that caused his young father to die of an aneurysm. Eventually he learned to deal with his gifts. At first he used his gifts for selfish reasons, often profiting from using them dishonestly (mostly in athletic bets). However, after an incident which cost his older brother Brandon his life, Scott left his family and found himself in a self imposed exile. He traveled around the country, spending much of his time on the West Coast. While he was away, he would often step in and anonymously lend a hand to those in need. He eventually got back into contact with his mother and sister, and was shocked to find that they did not blame him for Brandon's death. After a lot of self reflection, he made his way to Lost Haven where he opened a nightclub called "The Hub" with his longtime friend Eric Dean.

Sample Origin Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

"Hurry Up, get that money into the bags!" One of the masked assailants screamed to one of the others.

Four masked men had stormed into Centennial Bank demanding that all the money be handed over. Juanita Juarez crouched in a corner, trying not to look at the carnage on the floor. However, she didn't have to look at it, he knew exactly what had happened in the moments after the masked men entered the bank. Two security guards and a customer were all dead, killed in the hail of gunfire that erupted when the masked men made their intentions clear. Trying to avoid detection, she just sat there; huddled in the corner, hoping that this would all end soon.

"This is Captain Price of the Lost Haven Police Department. We don't want anyone to get hurt, just come out and place your weapons on the ground." A voice came from outside. The four masked man became agitated, prodding the tellers to hurry with the money.

The man who seemed to be leading the robbers went over to the large glass door and opened it a crack as if he were to begin negotiating a way out. Instead, he fired several shots at the police cruisers parked in front of the bank. The police returned fire, sending shattered glass all over the inside of the bank.

"Hold your fire d*mn it!" Captain Price ordered, recognizing the danger that the civilians inside the bank were in. He puts the megaphone he is holding to his mouth again.

"Hold your fire, there is no need for anymore bloodshed. We can resolve this peacefully, and without any more casualties." Then another shot rings out, forcing Price to get back behind the squad cars.

Realizing that the situation is getting worse, the lead masked man began looking around the bank looking for a way out of the bank that didn't involve him being in prison or a body bag.

"Jimmy, go around and check the back, maybe we can get out that way."

The thug that the lead masked man was talking to nodded and went out the back, and came back moments later looking alittle panicked.

"That's covered too, three maybe four units out there. We're trapped."

The lead masked man looks around at the hostages and sets his sights on Juanita Juarez, who is still huddled in the corner. He quickly moves over to her and grabs her by the hair, forcing her to her feet. "GET UP!" he screams at her. She lets out a cry as he forces her against the wall.

"Everyone up, NOW!" He screams at the hostages, as the other masked men corral the remaining hostages up against the same wall as Juanita.

"Alright folks, this is real simple. We're getting out of here, and you're all going to make sure that we get out safely. We're all going to walk out together, and your gonna be standing right in front of us as a human shield. If the pigs open fire, you'll be there to make sure that we don't get hit. And if you try to run, make no mistake about it, I will shoot you. Now, are we all clear on that?"

Suddenly confusion takes over as there is an explosion of glass, and what can almost be described as some sort of whirlwind inside the bank. The gunmen and hostages gather their wits and they see a man standing before them. He is dressed in a dark blue body suit with silver bands on the arms and legs, a blue and silver cape, and he has a thin mask that is the same shade of blue as his costume. The man just stands there as the gunmen open fire on him. The gunmen and hostages stand there in amazement as they watch the bullets just bounce off him.

"Oh no, this ain't hapening, this AIN'T happening!" The lead thug shrieks as he continues to fire his weapon until it runs out of bullets. Then the man fires optic blasts at the four masked men's weapons, knocking them from their grips. The man in blue grabs the first masked man and tosses him into a wall, obviously holding back as to not serious injure the man.

"That's enough guys, it's over. Give it up and nobody has to get hurt." He says to the other three men. They think it over for a moment, and then stand down.

Moments later the man leads the hostages and the masked men out of the bank to the police who are waiting down on the street. When he met Captain Price and the other officers they just stood there for a moment looking at him, not knowing what to make of this new player in the city.

"Thanks for the help son." Captain Price felt somewhat embarrassed at the hokiness of what he said, but it was all he was able to muster.

"I'm just glad I was able to help sir." Then in front of the police, and the media that had gathered at the bank, he just flew away.

Rules and Expectations

* Stay true to the personality and abilities of the character, such as no Cyclops moving planets with his optic blasts, Dazzler defeating Galactus, or Aunt May as Galatus's new Herald...

* Do NOT rip off existing heroes in comic universes. Come up with your own creation. If your character is too similar to one in Marvel, DC, or other comic companies, you will be asked to change it or come up with a new character.

* Before starting a game wide event, check with the GM to ensure it will not conflict with ongoing plans. Such events should NOT be your introductory arc.

* Gods and other deities are not allowed. However, characters such as Darkseid and Odin, who may have been worshiped as such; are. Any "gods" such as the Olympians, will be as regarded as The New Gods or Asgardians in DC and Marvel.

* Mind control, reality warping, and cartoon physics and other such powers are not allowed.

* Do NOT criticize another poster’s character. We are not all Stan Lee or Shakespeare. Constructive criticism is okay as long as it is not offensive. This rule applies even if a poster asks for feedback.

* Your character should make sense. Wolverine doesn’t dance in the flowers. If you have a meek character, they shouldn’t be smacking other characters around.

* NPC's can be an important part of this game. Do not kill or otherwise compromise another player's NPC's without permission from the player who controls them. If the player does not consent to what you want to do, you cannot do it.

* Communicate with others in your arc. This is key to the fun. It doesn’t matter how many fights you win, it matters if the fights were written well.

* If you are collaborating with another player and you do not hear from them for 1 week, and they have not let us know of an absence either in the OOC or through PM's either directly to you or the GM's, feel free to move on without them.

* The Game Masters have the final say in matters of character acceptance. You are welcome to alter the character to make it less powerful or more creative, but arguing with the Game Masters is not allowed. This is a game, let it be fun.

* You are allowed up to four characters. However, if you are new to the game we recommend starting off with one. You can always add another character later.

* This is a working environment, so you can travel to different places using your powers or vehicles. Don't miraculously pop up unless you're a teleporter or such.

* If you are new to the RPG, your first arc should be your origin arc. There are NO pre-established characters in this RPG.

* You can reside in any place in the New Universe. Note, however, that the main city is Lost Haven, Maine. This is where a lot of the action will take place. You can also travel off-planet.

* Don't do anything RANDOM like chopping off board user's heads or what not, unless you're a villain chopping off NPC victims heads, then whatever, go with it, as long as it's not technically RANDOM.

* Don't be killing people without reason. You know your weaknesses and strengths, what you can do or can't. Dazzler will lose against Thanos one on one, but may be able to use her allies to help her out or she can run away.

* If you want to take part in this, just fill out an app and your name and character will appear on the roster, pending approval.

* You can form super villain gangs, superhero teams, alliances, the works.

* There can be a number of stories going on at once, using different people.

* Act like your characters; ASSUME their traits and personalities.

* There are endless places to go and endless things to do: ENDLESS possibilities so get creative.

* This game is essentially a PG-13 game. Use your discretion for cussing and swearing in posts. Some swearing is okay, but don't overdue it. Please don't make me amend this down the line.

* No obscene topics! NO exceptions will be made for the RPG.

* People who disobey these rules, some more major than the others, will get BOOTED by the Game Masters.

*If violate the rules and manage to get yourself banned from this game (or the discord chat), we reserve the right to write your character out of the game in any way that we as GM's see fit.

* I made most (if not all) of the character banners in this game. If you join and would like one, feel free to ask.

* This game has OPEN ENROLLMENT. There are no limits on the number of players who can join. Feel free to fill out a CS and join the fun!

Need to Know Events:
-Pax Metahumana: Doctor Diplodoc, a scientist, who had invented a serum that could imbue metahuman powers onto regular people, planted several devices hidden in Lost Haven and several other cities that would create a sort of energy dome that would progressively transform the population of the world into metahumans. He claims that, due to recent events, humanity needs to 'evolve' in order to survive and his plan would do just that. While the heroes were able to dispose of the device in Lost Haven (it was dropped in the Atlantic Ocean), the devices in the other cities detonated. A coalition of heroes rallied together to storm Doctor Diplodoc's base and deactivate the domes. While most people exposed to the domes were cured afterwards, those who developed powers at the onset of the crisis were stuck with them. Locations affected: Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles/Pacific Point, Philadelphia (RIP), and Seattle.
-The Hounds of Humanity:
Locations affected: Philadelphia, Nautican Island, Paris, TX. (all destroyed to a variety of degrees), Lost Haven, Pacific Point (attacks only)

Posts coming this weekend
Alright guys, and that concludes Season 2. It's been a fantastic 3 years, and I want to thank you all for everything that you've done to make this season so much fun. We've had some ups and downs, but I like to think that we bring the best out in one another. I'll be getting the Season 3 thread up very soon.

Just a reminder, if you had an active character this season, you will not have to reapply for that character, you'll just be able to post the CS in the character tab.

The two weeks that followed Scott's meeting with the enigmatic Vigilante at The Hub had been relatively uneventful. Icon had followed the mysterious man's advice and went to California where he spoke sought the help of The Son of Osiris of West Coast's super hero team, The Immortals. Although he had been eager to help, the Immortal was unable to shed any light on the identity of whoever had declared war on him.

Things had been relatively quiet in Lost Haven. There had been no meta human attacks in the city in weeks, and whoever was after him had been quiet. There had been no further attacks on Alexa, his mother checked in almost daily, and would be arriving in the morning. Jenny had even returned to Lost Haven, though she had been staying with some friends in Carver. And while things had been relatively quiet for Icon, for the man behind the hero, it had been anything but.
The days had begun to blend together as Scott and Alexa made the final preparations for their wedding, which was now only two days away. Alexa's parents had flown in from Los Angeles the day before and had been staying in Alexa's penthouse, which made things slightly awkward as Mr. Winstone still went out of his way to make sure that everyone knew that he didn't approve of Scott marrying his daughter, only for Mrs Winstone to try and be a buffer between the two men. Alexa told Scott that it was just the way her father was, and that it wasn't personal, he had always been like that. However, deep down, Scott knew that while that may have been the case in the past, Mr. Winstone's disapproval was in fact, very personal. So much so, that Scott was thrilled to take a trip over to the Seaside Gateway, the site of the wedding and reception, to go over some last minute details with the event planner, Amy.

Much to his relief, everything was set for their big day. The wedding cake and flowers were set to be delivered the next afternoon, and the staff at the venue would take care of all the decorating. Much to his surprise, everything was coming together as planned. The realization that everything was going smoothly began to make him nervous. Things rarely went smoothly for him. While running the club, he found that something always seemed to go wrong. The shipment of booze didn't come in as scheduled, the DJ's didn't show up, masked gunmen barged in and began shooting up the place, or someone opened a portal to Hell and unleashed demons on the city. He wasn't used to things going quite this well, and it was almost as if he was waiting for the other shoe to drop.

He made his way back to his apartment, where Alexa had planned to meet him. He wanted to spend some time alone with her without having to worry about her safety, and without having to worry about her parents. He turned down the alley behind The Hub and went into the door that led to his private stairwell. When he got into his apartment, he went into the kitchen and got a glass of water. He thought about how in just under 48 hours, everything would be different. He'd be moving out of the apartment and into Alexa's penthouse in Sherman Square. He'd miss this place, even though living upstairs from his nightclub could be less than ideal at times, this place had been good to him. He'd offered to let Eric take it over, but he'd declined. So he offered it to Jenny, who was more than happy to have her own place.

Scott then made his way from the kitchen to the roof access door. He'd spent countless nights up on the roof, staring out at the city. Although the view wasn't as grand as the view from Alexa's penthouse, there was something special about it. It made him feel grounded, connected to the city and her people. He'd truly miss it, and the feeling that he got every time he went up there. He stood there on the roof, in what had become his sanctuary, the place that he'd come to think when things weren't going well, and even when they were, completely lost in thought. He thought about the time that he had spent there, about the upcoming wedding, and about the future. Until he was suddenly startled out of his reverie by the feeling of a pair of arms wrapping themselves around his waist, and a kiss on the cheek. He looked back and saw Alexa's smiling face. He shifted a little and wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close to him.

“What'cha thinking about?” She asked as she leaned against him.

“Not much.-” He said. “-And everything.”

“I know what you mean.” Alexa admitted. “It's all happening so fast.”

“I know. It's hard to believe.” Scott told her.

“It really is. But I'm excited.” Alexa said.

“Me too.”

“Do you have any regrets?” Alexa asked.

“Plenty.-” Scott said. “-But not about this. Not about us.”

“Good. Then-” Alexa said. “No regrets.”

“No regrets.” Scott said as they both looked out over the city that lay sprawled out before them.

Admiral Keelan stood before the view port of the Arlaaekan mother ship as it led the great Armada across the stars. It had been a long journey, however, the Armada was nearing its next destination. A world which had recently seen the expiration of the Great Concord, and as such, would soon meet the fate that had befallen the thousands of civilizations which had come before it.

Extinction.

Keelan made it his business to study the worlds that the grand Arlaaekan Armada conquered, and their next target was no exception. Unlike the worlds that had come before it, the planet Earth was a primitive backwater world that held little value in the grand scheme of things. It was a planet who's inhabitants were warlike barbarians, who divided themselves into tribes who fought and killed each other based on the color of their skin or due to the locations of their birth. And while the planet had some semblance of a military, it was no match for the weaponry that the Arlaaekans possessed. The greatest weapon that the Earthlings possessed was a small number of their population, which had been imbued with great power. They looked to these beings as gods, however, as they would soon learn, their faith was misplaced, as the Arlaaekans would soon eliminate these powered beings on their way to the Earth's total annihilation.

This invasion was unlike any other before it, for Earth had earned the ire of the Autocrat, and by extension, the entire Arlaaekan civilization. Not only had the Earth accepted the Great Concord, but among its population hid a heretic. One who had rejected her calling to serve the Autocrat, a coward who abandoned her duty and fled the vast Arlaaekan empire. It was a slight to the Autocrat that had almost gone unnoticed, up until the moment that the great Armada had entered the star system which the Earth called home. Had it not been for a nearly silent frequency that reached out to the stars from the surface of the planet. The familiar signal from an escape pod, meant to allow the Armada to locate a lost Arlaaekan should they be stranded. It was intended to be a lifeline for a son of Arlaaek who had lost their way, yet it would be instrumental in dooming yet another civilization.

Keelan's gaze remained focused on the view port. A slight smile creased his lips as a small blue orb appeared in the distance before him.

“We have almost arrived my lord.” Keelan said to the hulking being that stood beside him. At the admiral's words, the Autocrat stared out into the void of space, at the blue planet that seemed so close, yet so far away.

“Indeed we have, Admiral. Look on the Earth, for we will be the last to see it as it appears this day. Soon, nothing will remain but fire and dust.”
I edited the topic to show that we're closed. I'll be getting the final post of the season up either tonight or tomorrow, and then the Season 3 Thread up shortly after.

I'm excited for what we have in store for season 3. Keep an eye out for the new thread in the next day or so.
Admiral Kava, Dredar Ragant, Koren Ozzell
NMS and Heat

Anticipation grew aboard the Lambda shuttle as it descended toward the designated landing pad near the Imperial Palace on Coruscant. The shuttle shook as it made its final descent and touched down on the landing pad. Admiral Kava stood before the boarding ramp, surrounded by her contingent of troops. More than two dozen stormtroopers stood behind her. To her left were a pair of death troopers, their black armor glistening in the shuttle’s interior lights. To her right, was a second pair of death troopers, with a third pair standing directly behind her. And of course, her trusted security droid Beeone was not far behind. Kava had to admit, it was an impressive entourage, and she was just glad that it was her entourage.

After what seemed like an eternity, the shuttle came to a rest on the landing pad, and the boarding ramp slowly lowered itself to the ground.

At last. Kava thought to herself. It had been far too long since she had set foot on the Imperial capital world. The last time she had been on Coruscant, she had accompanied Thrawn shortly after leaving the Officers Academy. She had been in awe of the city planet’s splendor. The bright lights, the constant motion...it had called to her. She had been in awe of the capital, an awe that had only been surpassed when she had found herself in the presence of not only Grand Admiral Thrawn and Lord Vader, but the Emperor himself.

How times had changed. There was no Lord Vader. Thrawn had been missing, and presumed dead for years. And the Emperor was gone. The once great Empire was a fractured shell of its former self, led by overgrown children playing war lord. The faction that had retained at least some semblance of its former self was the Grand Imperium, which under the leadership of Ozzell would never reach its full potential. However; now with Kava making her presence known, it stood a chance of being great. With her help, the galaxy would once again know the peace and order that it had experienced under the watchful eye of the Galactic Empire.

Finally, the boarding ramp had come to a stop as it made contact with the surface of the landing pad, and Kava knew that this was her only chance to make a true impression.

“Look alive men, we have an Empire to save.” She said with a grin as she led her troops off of the shuttle and toward the garrison that had amassed to greet them.

In orbit above the planet the Lord Commander of the Imperial Knights waited patiently on the bridge of the Nightfury. His eyes gazed through the frontal windows of the Imperium vessel as he stared intently at the imposing fleet of starships. It seemed he would have to flash his diplomatic side once more. Behind the crimson armored man Captain Dystra folded his hands behind his back as one of the bridge crewmen spoke.

“The Super Star Destroyer Lazarus is returning our frequency. Establishing a line of communication now.”

“Greetings Lord Commander Ragant, this is Captain Bryce of the SSD Lazarus. You have no reason to worry, we come entirely with peace intentions. Admiral Kava has already gone planetside to the Imperium Palace to meet with Lord Ozzel.” The officer replied, his tone entirely calm.

“Who exactly are you? You came to this system, with that fleet in order to negotiate?” The Force user asked as he stared at the man’s holographic image on the screen. Behind him Dystra stayed silent along with the rest of the bridge crew.

“The Galactic Empire, Lord Commander and yes we have. I am sure Admiral Kava would be delighted to make your acquaintance planetside.” Bryce replied with a calm nod. It seemed Dredar would have to speak directly with this ‘Kava’ in order to get any real information.

“Very well then. I will head down there immediately. Farewell Captain,” Dredar said back as the Imperial officer’s hologram faded with a nod. “Inform Lord Ozzel I will be arriving at the palace. Keep the Nightfury in orbit. I want to know immediately of any changes in formation or if more of their ships arrive.”

“As you wish Lord Commander.” Captain Dystra complied with a firm salute as the head of the Imperial Knights walked out of the bridge.

Dredar shifted towards the elevator, as he stepped inside his eyes fell once more upon the Lazarus. It was a bold move to bring such a powerful looking fleet to orbit the gem of the galaxy. ‘Kava’ must have truly been seeking out an alliance of some sort, or perhaps an annexation. He truly feared the latter, the last thing the resurgent Grand Imperium needed was to enter into a conflict while the real enemy lingered at the doorsteps. They had spent years rebuilding, forging alliances and biding their time. To plunge into a wasteful conflict like that would truly be a fool's errand for both factions.

Upon his arrival to the hangar he was met by the death troopers which had been assigned to him. He’d have them brought down in another transport, Dredar was going to take his personal TIE fighter. The Lord Commander needed the Vigilance if things went south though he sincerely hoped that would not happen.

Admiral Kava made her way down the loading ramp, flanked by her landing party and the hulking security droid Beeone, she marched straight toward the Imperium troops that stood at the edge of the landing pad. The fact that Ozzell had met her with nearly an entire legion of Imperium troops was pleasing to her. It told her that her presence had ruffled the feathers of the Imperium High Command.

Good. She thought to herself. The fact was, that Kava believed that Imperium needed a bit of a shake up. Ozzell and the Imperium had become complacent in its current state, and with its soft policies towards the so called “New Republic,” had given the rebels a legitimacy that they had lacked even after the death of the Emperor. This complacency had made the Imperium complicit. The lack of action was unacceptable, and if she had anything to do with it, a thing of the past.

She scanned the gathered stormtroopers and other Imperium agents until her eyes fell on an older man standing between two large sentry droids. Though the man had aged considerably since the last time she had seen him, most likely due to the stresses of leading what had remained of an empire, there was no mistaking that the man that she was looking at, although greyer and more worn, was indeed Koren Ozzell. Her crimson eyes met his gaze as she approached him, coming to a stop several feet in front of the Lord Imperium and offered a crisp salute.

“Good to see you again, Lord Ozzell.-” She said as she extended a hand. “-we have much to discuss.” She said as her next words were cut off by the whine of a lone TIE fighter making its way to the landing pad.

As the Vigilance broke through the clouds above the bustling ecumenopolis Dredar’s eyes narrowed on the Imperial palace as his modified TIE fighter moved towards it. He kept his hands firmly on the controls of his starfight as he took in the sight of several figures gathering outside the structure. A legion of Imperium aligned stormtroopers caught his eyes as the Vigilance descended towards another part of the landing pad. Another group strolled towards them, led by a female Chiss. That must have been ‘Kava’, the leader of this bold Imperial fleet that’d arrived at the galactic capitol.

The Vigilance flew over the intersecting parties as the two head Imperials exchanged salutes, his presence noticed by both of them. He could almost notice a smirk on Ozzel’s face as Dredar’s TIE screamed above them in its descent. The Force user gently set his starfighter down a short distance from the two factions. Then Dredar flipped all of the switches off inside of his fierce vessel and began to emerge from the top of the starship, clad in full armor and helm. The man then cleanly jumped down the top of his starfighter, then calmly strode towards the two groups.

“Lord Ozzell, I was not aware of such an important meeting happening. My apologies for interrupting. The mission was a success, it went without a hitch,” The crimson armored man stated from beneath his helmet with a firm bow towards the head of the Grand Imperium. Then he reached both hands up to remove the helm from his head. As he revealed his face his eyes turned towards the Chiss. “I am Knight Commander Dredar Ragant of the Imperial Knights. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Admiral, your fleet is most impressive.”

Kava watched as the crimson armored man approached from the modified TIE fighter, introducing himself as a member of the Imperial Knights. Of course, she was familiar with the Knight Commander by reputation. He served the Imperium well, and his loyalty was unquestioned.
“The pleasure is mine, Commander Ragant.-” Kava said with a smile as she regarded the Force user. “-and thank you. Indeed it is, and perhaps one day it will serve the Imperium as well as it has served me.” She let her words linger in the air for a moment before adding, “I believe we have a lot to discuss, gentlemen. Perhaps we should take this discussion somewhere more private.”

“Exactly what I was going to suggest, Admiral.” The Knight Commander replied with a firm nod and affirmative smile as the assembled group moved into the Imperial palace. Dredar walked beside Lord Ozzell, allowing the Imperium’s leader to lead the talks. He was the one who had arrived late to the discussions, but the Lord Imperium was a far more savvy speaker than him anyway.

He sensed a familiarity between the two assembled Imperial leaders which boded well for the negotiations. Dredar was not personally familiar with the Chiss admiral but he had heard of her. The recollection only really came to him once he met Kava face to face. Aliens in the Imperial naval ranks were a true rarity, at least during the Emperor’s reign. When one distinguished themselves by ascending to such a powerful position it made waves in the Empire. Dredar was glad such a figure had the mindset she did, to seek out an alliance. A fractured Empire was a soon to be extinguished Empire.

Kava followed the two men through the Imperial Palace into Lord Ozzell’s office, which had also served as the throne room of Emperor Palpatine himself. As she entered the space, though it was different, it was still somehow the same. Her mind drifted to one of her earliest memories as an officer in the Empire. Soon after she had left the Imperial Academy, she had been among a few other young officers who had been handpicked by Grand Admiral Thrawn to accompany him to Coruscant. That particular trip was highlighted by a personal audience with the Emperor. She remembered it just as if it had happened only yesterday. The Emperor sitting on his throne as he discussed matters of the growing rebellion with Thrawn, and the sound of Lord Vader’s mechanized breathing as he stood silently behind the Emperor’s throne.

The memories quickly faded as she was once again brought back to the present moment. Unlike her earliest visit to the Imperial Capital, she was now the focal point of the meeting with the Imperial High Command. Kava waited while the others that had escorted them to the Lord Imperium’s office had left and only the three remained before she said another word.

“Koren, it is good to see you again.” Kava said. “And while it is good to see that the spirit of the Empire lives on in the Grand Imperium, it is apparent to me that you have a serious problem looking you in the eye.”

“Oh? And what might that be?” Ozzell asked.

“It is obvious to anyone paying attention that the rebels have their sights set on Coruscant. They are a sentimental lot, and they want nothing more than to once again control the capital.-” She began. “-the rebels have been emboldened since their victory at Endor, and with good reason. The Empire has become scattered and weak. There are far too many Imperials out there playing warlord, too concerned with creating their own little territory. They have weakened the Empire by working with criminals and the like in order to secure their imagined strongholds, and it has left us in disarray. I plan to bring them back in line, and regain control of the galaxy with a unified Empire. Kava let her words hang in the air for a moment, letting the other men process what she had in mind.

“Interesting.-” Ozzell said with a grin as he contemplated what Kava had said. “-An admirable ambition indeed. Should we succeed in creating a unified Empire, the rebels would have no choice but to come under heel.” Ozzell conceded. He paused for a moment as he shifted his gaze to the Imperial Knight and then back to the Chiss woman.

“But what makes you think that the rebels would dare assault Coruscant?” Ozzell asked at last.

“They know that to control Coruscant is to control the galaxy. If you listen to the rumors- troop movements, whispers of the beginnings of a new generation of Jedi, it all leads to one specific conclusion. The rebels are gearing up for an assault on the capital, it is only a matter of time. Either we work together to stop that, or the rebels will overthrow you and once again take this planet, and then that would leave all of us in quite the predicament. Wouldn’t you agree, Knight Commander?”

“I would, Admiral. It is inevitable the rebels will come for Coruscant, it is the crown jewel of civilization. Seizing it from Imperial control would be a way for them to further cement their legitimacy to the greater galaxy.” The leader of the Imperial knights stated with a nod, even though he himself would never see this ‘New Republic’ as anything more than lucky traitors.

“I wouldn’t put it past them to throw everything they have at taking this world. If they do that we would be utterly crushed at our present state. A reunified Empire would be able to strike back at the rebels then crush them under foot,” Dredar added as he let the vision briefly fill his mind then continued to speak. “These warlords are scattered, when met with a stronger, more unified force they’d have no option but to submit. Some may be resistant to the idea but if they’re ‘removed’ from power then their little empires will descend into uncertainty which we could take advantage of.”

Such a grand operation would take some skillful planning and admittedly some luck. Many of these warlords were riding their own coattails. It would be a difficult bullet for many to bite to give up their modicums of power, to step in line and hand over their forces to the greater Empire. But each of them would bend the knee when faced with overwhelming enough military might or at least Dredar truly hoped as much. The warlords’ fleets didn’t help the Imperium if they were crushed into space dust in a doomed battle.

“Indeed Dredar.-” Ozzell said to the Knight Commander, almost uncharacteristically in the casual way he said his name. “Indeed.” Ozzell paused for a moment as he turned away from the others and gazed out of the large window which gave him an unmatched view of Coruscant. He knew that Admiral Kava and Dredar were correct, that should the New Republic launch an all out assault on the capital, in their current state the Imperium would not be able to defend themselves. However, the Imperium working with other factions, particularly Kava’s impressive fleet, would give them a chance.

“What exactly is it that you are proposing, Admiral?” Ozzell asked, finally turning back to face his compatriots.

“A partnership, Lord Ozzell.” Kava said. “My fleet will come into the Imperium. I will not just be an ally, but a partner in bringing the galaxy back under the heel of the Empire. And together, we will finally crush the rebellion and force upon the rebels a punishment fit for the traitors and terrorists that they are.” Kava paused. “And together, we will restore the Empire to its former glory.”

Collabs are coming along well. Also have a couple of solo posts in the works

San Diego, California

Chrissy Jones made her way down Niagara Avenue towards the Ocean Beach Pier. Though she was still new to the West Coast, she had never felt more at home in her life. Shortly after the Hounds of Humanity had destroyed her shop in Crown Ridge, she picked up the pieces and took what little savings she had, and jumped on a bus out West.

She had rented a motel room by the week with the savings she had, and after a couple of days of getting settled she had begun searching for work. Though she couldn't find anything that really suited her, she had applied to be a waitress at a busy seafood restaurant down near the pier called Capt's. When she met the owner of the place, a middle aged Samoan named JuJu, who was probably the happiest person that she had ever met, and had a propensity for wearing extremely loud Hawaiian shirts, she knew that she had found the right place. Apparently, JuJu had felt the same way, as he hired her on the spot and asked if she could start the next day.

Almost immediately, Chrissy found that she loved her job. For the most part, and with few exceptions, the customers were great. Capt's clientele mostly consisted of tourists, as well as a good number of regulars, who not only came for the food, but for the establishment's well stocked bar. She also found that her coworkers were all very close, and they were more like a family than just simply people that worked together. JuJu treated the staff like his kids, except for Mike the book keeper, who was old enough to be JuJu's father. She had also bonded with one of the hostesses, a young blonde woman in her mid twenties named Stephanie. So much so, that when Stephanie's roommate suddenly moved out, she had asked Chrissy if she would be interested in taking the now vacant room in her apartment, which of course she did, as she couldn't wait to get away from the semi sleazy motel which she'd been calling home for the last few weeks.

For the first time since she'd crash landed in the Lost Haven harbor and been found by the person who would become her very first friend on this planet, Chrissy finally felt that she was home. Which was an odd feeling in and of itself, since she had never really known a home, not in the sense that most humans would relate to, at any rate.

From the day that she had been born, she had been raised to be a part of the Arlaaekan war machine. The Arlaaekans had once been a peaceful species, until a neighboring civilization forced them to flee their homeworld in massive starships before it was destroyed. Eventually, one Arlaaekan, unlike any other who had come before him, a being of immense power had risen through the ranks and became the unquestioned ruler of the newly nomadic species. Under his authoritarian leadership, the Arlaaekans became a militaristic species, developing new technologies and developing new methods for subjugating entire civilizations.

Under the man who had become known only as The Autocrat, the Arlaaekans went from world to world, stripping the planets of their natural resources and exterminating the native inhabitants. Thousands of worlds had come to feel the might of the Arlaaekans, some fought back, but eventually, all of them had fallen.

When she was a young girl, her father took notice of her special talents. According to him, her gifts would make her the second Arlaaekan, behind the Autocrat himself to be born with special abilities. Her father had been one of the Autocrat's most trusted generals, however, when he had learned of his daughters power, he wanted nothing more than to hide her from him. Yet, his devotion to the dictator had been so absolute that those initial thoughts quickly faded from his mind. He no longer thought of her as his daughter, rather he saw her as a tool for the vast Arlaaekan empire to exploit. She was simply a weapon for her, just another weapon of war.

However, she refused to be used as a weapon.

So she sneaked out of her chambers and had her way to one of the ship's hyperspace equipped escape pods, and without saying a word, left everything that she had known, and everyone that she had loved behind.

When the pod crash landed in the Lost Haven harbor, she didn't know where she was, or how long she had been in the pod. She just knew that she was free. Eventually, she found herself in Crown Ridge where she was working as a sort of psychic healer, using her empathic abilities to read her customers in a way that seemed supernatural. Not long after that, she found herself forced to work with the heroes of her new homeworld to fight against the Hounds of Humanity, who had proven to be a true threat to anyone that appeared “different.” Yet, after the Hounds had been defeated, she found that she simply wanted to live her life in peace, for as long as she would be allowed, and she hoped against hope that she would never be forced to use her abilities against an enemy as ruthless as the Hounds of Humanity, or even her own people, ever again.
