A new day has dawned for a once dark galaxy.

Five years have passed since the defeat of the Empire at the Battle of Endor, and with the Emperor dead, it has become leaderless and divided.; a scattered Remnant of its former glory. As the Imperials quarrel amongst themselves while carving out their own territories among the stars, the fledgling New Republic continues to grow as it attempts to bring the galaxy together in a peaceful, democratic New Order.

However, that is easier said than done.

Many planets and entire systems, weary after years of suffering years of oppression under the Emperor's iron fist, are hesitant to join the New Republic. Leia Organa, the acting Minister of State is tasked with convincing these worlds to not only join the New Republic, but to be at the forefront of ushering in a new era of freedom and peace in the galaxy.

Meanwhile, with the blessings of the New Republic Head of State, Mon Mothma, Luke Skywalker has taken the first steps in preparations to train a new generation of Jedi Knights in the way of the Force. To meet this end, Master Skywalker has begun to transform the ancient Massassi Temple on Yavin IV into the first Jedi Praxeum that the galaxy has seen in decades.

However, under the veil of hope, lies hidden dangers.

The Imperial Remnant, though scattered, is still a threat to the fragile New Republic, as well as the very idea of freedom in the galaxy.

The Sith, though seemingly defeated with the death of the Emperor and the redemption of his enforcer, Darth Vader, still loom like a dark cloud over the New Jedi Order as they attempt to restore their name throughout the entire galaxy.

With the Empire fractured, the Hutts among other crime syndicates have begun to make their presence known on many new worlds, spreading their influence and growing in power, creating yet another new threat for the New Republic.

Can the New Republic survive the hurdles and dangers it will surely face? Or will it collapse into ruin?

Only time will tell...
It has been a trying time for the heroes of both the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant. And While Luke Skywalker's new Jedi Praxeum is now operational, training the latest generation of Jedi Knights, the Imperial Remnant, under a new alliance between The Grand Imperium and the warlord, Admiral Kava, is poised to strike in a move that could be the tipping point in the war.

Icon had wanted to get a better look at exactly what it was they were facing, so he took to the sky and circled above the advancing horde of alien invaders. Aside from the massive war machine that led the way, Icon saw thousands of the teal skinned marauders that flanked it on either side. Looking down at the massive tank and the dozens of armaments that adorned it, Icon knew that stopping that thing was priority number one. However, it would be impossible to take it out without first thinning out the ranks of the army of aliens that marched along side it. Icon began to circle around the invaders again, but did an immediate quarter turn in the sky and accelerated toward the ground. He impacted the ground with a thunderous crash, knocking dozens of the invaders from their feet. Without hesitation, Icon again left his feet, lifting only a few feet off the ground. He lowered his shoulder and rammed into the nearest alien warrior, sending him flying into the next. Then he hit the next, and then another after that, picking up speed as he flew through the alien ranks, knocking them out of his way as he cut a swath through the alien army.

“On your left, Flyboy.” Radiance’s voice called to him over the Guardians' communication channel.

Following Radiance's warning, Icon looked to his left, toward the massive battle tank. He saw that several small, single pilot speeders, which looked something like flying motorcycles were racing toward him.

“I got it.” Icon said as his eyes began to take on a reddish glow. In an instant, he fired an optic blast which struck the lead speeder, causing it to erupt into a fireball, which engulfed the second speeder, which was traveling just behind it. Without missing a beat, Icon reached down and grabbed one of the alien invaders. He held the murderous thug in midair for a moment, almost as if contemplating what to do with him. Then, Icon ripped the black armored helmet off the alien's head, and in on fluid motion, flung the alien back to the ground while spinning in midair, hurling the alien's helmet as if he were a Major League pitcher, sending it on a collision course with the third speeder.

The impact of the helmet caused the speeder to rock hard to the left, then it listed to the right, just before the pilot lost complete control, and the speeder crashed down; rolling end over end through a crowd of invaders until it finally came to a stop. Several beats passed, and the speeder exploded- sending the surrounding invaders, and pieces of invaders, scattering for dozens of yards in every direction.

"Keep your head in the game, Icon. You can play for the Red Sox when we're done here." Iron Knight's voice came through over the comlink.

“More of a Dodger's guy myself.” Icon replied as he dove headlong back into the ranks of the invading forces.

From high atop the Arlaaekan war machine, the being known as The Outsider watched as Earth's heroes fought valiantly to fend off the mighty Arlaaekan invasion force. However, he knew that no matter how bravely they fought, the Earthlings were doomed. It was a scene that The Outsider had seen played out time after time all across the cosmos. The Autocrat's armada would descend upon a world. Then the forces of Arlaaek's Grand Army would decimate any resistance, and then the planet would be stripped of its natural resources in order to fuel the Arlaaekan war machine.

This was something that The Outsider had seen and participated in more times than he could count. However, this assault was different. To The Outsider, this siege was personal. Earth after all, had once been his home. As he stood atop the war machine and watched the battle unfold below him, he couldn't help but to wonder, if there had been heroes on Earth when he had last been there, so many years ago, would they have saved him before he was lost to the stars? Would his life been different? Could it be possible that instead of the state of constant warfare that he had found himself in since he was rescued by the Autocrat, could he have found peace at home on Earth?

As soon as the invasive thought had penetrated his psyche, The Outsider pushed it from his mind. It was too late to play a game of “What if?” The truth was, there hadn't been heroes to save him from his fate, and now he had returned to the planet that he had once called home, not as a returning hero, a man who had seen the horrors of the galaxy and returned home to prepare his people for what may come.

He returned AS one of those horrors, and he would personally see that every man, woman, and child on the planet would be burned from the face of the Earth, and that the whole of humanity would be forgotten by the rest of the galaxy, just as the Earthlings had forgotten him.

And he would finally have his revenge...

Icon cut through the ranks of invaders. He met them with a combination of fists, elbows, shoulders and optic blasts, until there was barely an alien standing within 50 yards of him. Just up ahead, he saw Lyger going toe to toe with what could only be described as some sort of alien brute. This teal skinned monstrosity was much larger than the others, standing at what Icon figured was about eight feet tall and as his father would say, “was built like a brick shit house.”

Lyger used his superior speed to stay just out of the behemoth's reach. Flipping and diving out of the way, avoiding the alien's wild attacks. In fact, the black clad feline hero was using the massive alien against its allies, getting close enough that when it missed him with one of its wild swings, instead striking the aliens who were unfortunate enough to be within arms length. Lyger moved in on his larger foe, bounding and striking with quick punches and kicks, before dodging out of the way before the alien brute could muster up a counter attack.

Lyger dodged a wild swing from the massive alien, then connected with a jumping wheel kick to the invader's jaw, which staggered it, knocking it right back into Icon, who connected with an uppercut the the midsection, which doubled the alien enforcer over. Icon then joined his hands together in an upwards motion, he hit the alien with a double ax handle to the chin, which sent the invader several stories in the air, before crashing down in a heap on the pavement.

“Show off.” Lyger said over his shoulder before striking out at the alien soldiers within reach.

Icon was about to respond to his friend, but something else had caught his attention. At the edge of the battlefield was a lone figure riding what as far as he could tell was a giant alien cat, nearly as tall as he was.

Now what? Icon thought to himself as he noticed the green haired woman and the dozens of petrified alien invaders that she had left standing in her wake.

“We made it!” He heard her proclaim through the chaos of battle. Icon looked toward her and made eye contact, then gave a nod welcoming her to the fray before finally turning his attention to the giant tank, and the man standing atop of it.

Character Sheet

Star Wars: Legacies Character Sheet

Character's name: A-Ø62 'Price'

Age: 14 (24 due to accelerated aging).

Race: Republic-era Clone

Faction (does your character belong to a group, such as the New Republic, The Imperial Remnant, the Bounty Hunter's Guild, a specific crime syndicate, etc): Formerly, the GAR. A Member of the Bounty Hunter's Guild.

Character Alignment (Choose one):Good, Neutral, Evil) Good

Character Background: Created in 32 BBY in the Cloning Facility on Kamino, A-Ø62 was a Cloned human of the biological template of Jango Fett. Whereas most clones looked identical, Price suffered a mutation that resulted in distinct appearance and altered vocal tone during the cloning process. Unsure of what to make of the soldier, Price was initially destined to be disposed of, but was ultimately placed into ARC training upon discovering nothing physically wrong had happened to him. Training alongside his brethren and under personal evaluation of Fett and his Mandolorian instructors, Price quickly proved to be a remarkably fearsome combatant, quick learner, and display excellent discipline and leadership qualities. However, the biggest flaw was Price's own autonomy; going so far as to keep his team out of Jedi command and reporting only to HIGHCOM personnel of the GAR's military forces. As one of the ARC's of the 110th Hunters Division, this Captain worked alongside his brothers during the peak of the Clone Wars; undertaking numerous black operation assignments and other covert engagements. However, it was on the Battle of Utapau where Price's world would be changed forever.

Under orders to sabotage a Separatist facility during the ensuing engagement by forces of the 212th, Price and a small strike force of six other Clones of the 110th had entered the cliffside facility; carrying out the objective and caving in the installation before escaping onboard an LAAT. As the gunship moved away, reports began coming through that the enemy defense was quickly mobilizing into a substantial offense; having set a sudden, overwhelming counterattack Republic intelligence failed to predict. Within the next few seconds of the Gunship doors shutting, the LAAT was intercepted by separatist AA fire, and shot down to the bottom of the lakebed below. Price was the only survivor of the crash; having escaped the decimated gunship and swimming toward the surface. He watched in exasperated horror as what remained of the 212 were either shot down, destroyed, or retreating. He was now alone, and Price ultimately spent the next ten days sneaking his way back to the surface before making a daring nighttime escape from Utapau to reaching an abandoned CIS Belbullab-22 Heavy Fighter. Along the way, Price discovered a terminal that had the schematic data of the Inhibitor Chip. Realizing that the Clones were in fact the mass weapon of the Sith, Price copied the schematic and made his way to a nearby landing pad, where an abandoned Belbullab-22 CIS Heavy Strike Fighter sit. Destined to inform the Republic of his suspicions, Price was ambushed by Commando Droids; knocked unconscious and quickly transferred to a waiting transport to be placed into stasis. With his signal being tracked, a Republic task force was sent to intercept the fleeing transport. With nowhere to run, the transport quickly plotted a destination solution to a random sector right before receiving damage to the Hyperdrive subsystem; causing the ship to jump and disengage several lightyears away from its intended destination. With the Separatist Droids running out of power, the ship containing the Commando in aimlessly drifted in space.

The Droids all ran out of power, one by one until the last B1 had the brilliant idea to activate the distress beacon before failing. 23 years would pass in the loud silence of space, before a mercenary outfit found the derelict Banking class. Boarding in the hopes of securing more salvage alongside the acquisition of practically ancient Separatist tech, the boarders found the Clone, his weapons and armor all preserved. Initially discussing among themselves to auction off the goods in exchange for profit, they came to the consensus that having a Clone Trooper among their ranks would no doubt keep their outfit alive longer. Gathering what they could and leaving the ship to rot, they eventually brought Price back to their hideout on Omwat. Waking the clone up from stasis, the mercenaries had to explain to the quite agitated, confused and combative Clone that the War leading to the Great Purge was over; the Republic dissolved into nothingness as the new Empire came to power. His morale crushed and spirit broken, Price initially felt nothing short of guilt and depression for failing his mission- yet relented to join the outfit as the only way left to fit in that he could. Four years following the destruction of the Bastion of the Empire, the Death Star, Price had made a name for himself among the Outer and Mid-Rim territories as a terrifying combatant and ruthless mercenary; scouring the various contracts among the cosmos and only taking out those who were judged by Price as villainous scum the galaxy simply needed rid of. Customizing his armor and eventually managing to secure a old Belbullab-22 CIS Heavy Strike Fighter, Price spent his credits on upgrading the starfighter; departing the mercenary band and setting out to become an independent contractor upon his fifth year following the destruction of the Death Star.

Character Personality-(Give a solid description on how your character acts, their morals, etc): Price is cold, calculative and cunning, coming off as snide to anyone unfamiliar. He displays a notable dislike of droids in any form, as well as any Force-sensitive or Lightsaber wielder. During his service prior to his ultimate abandonment, he still viewed the Jedi as nothing more than inexperienced military leaders. Given his enhanced autonomy, Price's freethinking mind has proven to be his biggest blessing and curse. Speaking out of turn, questioning the legitimacy of orders and being temperamental in disagreement had ultimately left him isolated from the majority of communications outside those of which he and his team operated with. While born and bred for warfare, Price has shown a remarkably softer side to individuals he has bonded with over the course of the Clone Wars; interacting with the regular Clone Troopers as well as Civilians he had come across in his service to the Republic, when reason permits it. Morally speaking, Price is quick to judge individuals and almost never turns down a job contract within moral reason. He actively avoids any jobs involving the elimination of bureaucrats, civilians other targets that, according to him, are simply just a waste of ammo without cause. As services can be bought with credits up-front, Price can be a wingman, attache to a squad, or even ally if there is a close enough bond. However, respect from the Clone is difficult to earn, and a friendship is even rarer.

Character Class (choose one): Scoundrel

Items- What major weapons and the like does your character carry? Such as a lightsaber, a rigged Sabaac deck, a blaster pistol, vibro-knife, wookie crossbow, telescopic lenses, etc):

WESTAR-M5 Blaster Rifle: This specialized blaster Carbine was a favorite among many ARC Troopers; carrying a drum magazine pack of 100 shots and able to cycle between semi, automatic and burst-fire modes. Underneath the barrel was a fitted grenade launcher attached to the primary firing mechanism of the weapon; consuming ten ammo in order to fire the miniaturized grenade.

Phase-II Advanced Recon Commando 'Venator' Hybrid Armor: This variant was a massive improvement over the earlier version created at the beginning year of the Clone Wars, with an introduction into service in the late 22BBY. Price, having been a veteran throughout the numerous engagements of the beginning of the Clone Wars, chose to combine both Phases (integrated life support, hermetic seal) with increased ballistic protection from the supplemental protective dome design of the ARC Heavy Gunner and AT-Pilot helmet variants, respectively. Perhaps the most distinct of this change is the visor and fin of the helmet; with the visor allowing for more of a panoramic picture and the fin extending in reverse from the front of the helmet. It comes with a built-in rangefinder and light macrobinocular module.

Grappling Hook/wiresnare module (left arm): This dual launching system features a grappling hook module mounted on the top of the wrist to allow access to higher heights, and a wiresnare on the underside of the wrist that can be deployed when the user flexes their wrist up, palm out and toward a target of their choice.

Flamethrower gauntlet (right arm): This attachment is self explanatory, and is activated when the user flexes their wrist downward and turns their hand away from the muzzle of the device; projecting a horrific napalm mixture that can stuck and burn organics and synthetics alike.

Evasive Thruster Pack: This back mounted attachment appears as a small white circular mount as big as a jetpack attachment; possessing a

Akimbo DC-17 Blaster Pistols: These heavy-hitting Blaster Pistols feature a lower recoil and a higher rate of fire; capable of firing up to ten consecutive shots before overheating. This blaster does not need to be reloaded manually, and is able to consistently be kept operational if it is vented regularly while in use.

x2 Thermal Detonators, Detpacks, EMP Disruptors, Bacta-canisters (secured on person): These two Thermal Detonators serve as powerful alternatives to Fragmentation grenades; creating a miniature thermonuclear reaction that can atomically vaporize anything within a six meter radius. Pitching wise, the weapon can be thrown up to 20 feet from its source. Detpacks are remotely detonated explosive charges that can be affixed to static objects, and are common used either as an ambush or means of sabotage. Lastly, two canisters of Bacta ensure that the Commando can recover form his injuries after a fight, or sustain himself during one.

Modified Belbullab-22 CIS Heavy Strike Fighter: Nicknamed 'Ruby Huntress', this CIS Heavy Starfighter chassis was mostly left as-is, but with a custom dark crimson and grey paintjob. It sports a sensory and navigations suite upgrade, shield module, an onboard AI system in control of a rear autocannon turret and two quadlinked twin laser cannons mounted underneath the ship. Lastly, on the top of the ship on either side of the cockpit are two concussion missile launchers. To compensate for the addition in mass, the default auxiliary thrusters and dual rear engines had to be removed and replaced with stronger variations to get the ship off of the ground with little issues.

“Alright, who’s up first in the batting order?”

“I am.” Lyger replied to the Iron Knight as he roared into view of the other Guardians. The words had barely escaped his lips before he hit the throttle on his bike, sending him racing toward the incoming alien legion. With the press of a button on the grip, he unleashed a barrage of rubber bullets and the approaching hoard.

The sound of his bike's screeching tires, and the sudden volley of rubber bullets must have alarmed at least some of the invaders, as they seemed surprised by the lone figure's brazen attack. However, the sudden surprise did not appear to faze the teal skinned invaders, who immediately opened fire on the approaching threat. Lyger controlled his bike with almost preternatural reflexes, narrowly avoiding each laser blast.

As he drew closer to the legion of alien warriors, he unleashed another salvo of rubber bullets, this one proving as ineffective as the first. He weaved in and out as the aliens returned fire, dodging laser blast after laser blast. However, as he was straightening his approach, one of the laser bolts struck the front of his motorcycle just behind the front wheel. Within seconds, the super-heated plasma reached the bike's gas tank, causing it to burst into flames.

Lyger knew that he had to act fast. He hit the accelerator and rode the bike directly toward the aliens, then at the last second, he dove off of the bike, which sent the motorcycle careening into the alien legion, where it exploded, taking out a number of the advancing alien army with it. No sooner had the fireball subsided, leaving a trail of bodies and entrails in its wake, than had Lyger leaped and bounded toward the stunned invaders, striking and everything within reach with punches, kicks and elbows.

“Nice of you to join us.” came Radiance's voice over the secured comlink.

“Sorry, unlike the rest of you, I can't fly.” Lyger said as his elbow struck one of the teal skinned aliens under his jaw.

“Did he just make a joke?” came Icon's voice over the coms.

“Yeah, I think he made a joke.” Radiance replied as she and Icon made their way toward their comrad who was still fighting off a legion of aliens.

Having recovered from the violence of the explosion, the alien warriors surrounded Lyger. However, the black clad hero continued to fight. He hit one of the incoming aliens with a thunderous right hand before spinning around behind him, where he connected with a front thrust kick to the midsection of another. Then he jumped, and did a back flip to get a little separation, he fired a grapple line, which penetrated one of the alien soldiers' shoulder. Lyger then jumped up into the air, yanking the alien upward with him, then connecting with a flying kick to the ensnared alien's jaw.

However, no matter how hard he fought, the invaders just kept coming. In a matter of moments, the sheer number of alien invaders proved to be too much, and Lyger found himself overrun by the teal skinned aggressors. They scratched and clawed, they reached for him, and they grabbed him. Although he fought as hard as he could, within moments they had him, unable to fight, unable to move, barely able to breathe.

Although the effort seemed futile, Lyger still fought. However, he was unable to free himself from the grasp of his enemies. After what had felt like an eternity, but in reality was only several moments, Lyger felt something, a slight charge, almost the sensation you might get from sticking your tongue on a 9-Volt battery, yet the feeling washed over his entire body. Suddenly he was aware of a bright flash, and he found himself free from the invaders' grasp.

When Lyger looked up, he saw the forms of Radiance and Icon standing over him, Icon extending a hand. As Lyger took Icon's hand, he again found himself thankful to the upgrades that Echo had made to the suit, which surely protected him from Radiance's electrical discharge.

“Thanks.” Lyger said as Icon helped him to his feet. “How was the wedding?” he asked, already knowing the answer.

“Well...” Icon said as he motioned to the chaos going on around them.

“Right.-” Lyger said as he looked on the alien invaders who had recovered from Radiance's attack and had already began moving toward them. “Let's send these sons of bitches back to where they came from.”
