No matter what he did, Brax couldn't defeat these two. They had looked like such weak and easy prey. He had never misjudged anyone so badly before. His next attack was blocked again and the boy slammed a fist into his stomach. The blow knocked the wind out of him and drove him to his knees as he tried to suck in air. The boy may have been strong, but he was a coward, avoiding the killing shot. "Just end me, damn it." The man wheezed between breaths. "You've taken everything else, you may as well take my life." He didn't even bother to try and grab for his axe, which had fallen out of his grasp when he had dropped to his knees.

Name: Emmeryn Cobalt

Appearance:

Emmeryn is a petite woman, standing at only 5' 2" and weighing barely 100lbs. Her skin is pale and she is slender in build, there isn't much fat on her, but there's also not much muscle. Her hair is chocolate brown and about chest length, she keeps it tied back in a neat bun, as to keep it out of her face. On the right side she keeps her bangs pinned back by a three feather pin, on the right she let's them hang free. Her eyes are two different shades of blue, normally they're a bright blue. When she uses her magic however, they become cobalt.

Weapon(s): In battle Emmeryn uses a combination of her staff and light magic. She's quite skilled in disabling her opponents with harsh blows to soft areas. The crystal on the staff also acts like a conduit for her to channel magic through, thus allowing her to use less concentration. Magic wise the only creatures it's really good against are dark ones, but it can be used against anybody. Using her magic she can create bursts of light to blind, balls of light to illuminate an area, and with a lot of power and concentration smite evil creatures. On the healing side she transfers her energy into the person she's healing, thus speeding up their healing process. To use her magic she places her hands over the wound and pours energy through them, a soft glow surrounds her hands as she does this, that glow is cobalt in color.

Armor: Underneath her robes, Emmeryn wears a leather vest to protect her torso, but wears no other armor.

Personal Trinkets: A three feather hairpin which has been passed down from mother to daughter in her family for generations.

A pouch containing medicinal herbs and bandages, as her magic can only do so much.

A book containing detailed pictures of plants and what their uses are.

A small, circular, onyx pendant on a silver chain, which was given to her by a close friend.

Short History: The Cobalt family was once called the Rosewood family. Long ago they were blessed, or cursed if you see it that way, with their powerful healing magic. Their name was changed due to the color that their eyes turn when using said magic. Ever since the blessing was placed, almost every member of the family has been some sort of healer.

Emmeryn was destined to follow in the footsteps of her ancestors, and she was okay with using the gift that she had been given. But at the same time, she had gotten her father's wanderlust. The man was an adventurer, and even though he had settled down after his daughter had been born, he still longed to out exploring the world again.

For a time, Emmeryn was content with learning her craft and exploring the woods around her village, but she soon desired more. By this time she was a woman grown and her father too old to travel with her. Instead she set out with a close friend, a boy she had known since she was young who had dreams of becoming a knight.

They traveled together for several years, exploring the land while aiding those in need. But the young man got what he wanted, an apprenticeship with a knight. He didn't want to leave Emmeryn alone, but she insisted that he follow his dreams. So the two went their seperate ways. Emmeryn decided to continue traveling alone, though she knew the dangerous that it held.

Emmeryn's only been at the inn a few days, though she doesn't see herself leaving anytime soon. Though she loves exploring the world as she's been doing, she found that it was nice to settle down for a little while too. She wouldn't admit it, but she was a bit lonely after her friend had left and the interaction with people was nice.

Boku no Hero: Hands-On Experience

Ryoma Otonashi

Ryoma was staring out the window of the bus when he was suddenly slammed back into his seat. The impact didn't bother him, but he couldn't help but wonder why it had happened. That's when he saw the hero outside the window. He heard the other kids on the bus calling her Mach Valkyrie. He recognized the name but had never had the chance to meet her in person before. He had however, met Saint before. Makoto had taken him to superhero events before where he had gotten the chance to meet and talk to various heroes. He had also been 'recruited' by a few of them for his Quirk, so that they could pull pranks on their fellow heroes without getting caught. It had been fun.

Ryoma wasn't grinning or bouncing up and down with excitement like some of the other students. Having met some before, he knew that heroes were simply people, really cool people, but people nonetheless. He was more interested in looking at the facility they would be staying at. The normal side of him thought that it was rather disappointing looking, and not at all like he imagined it would be. But the parkourist in him was excited, it looked like a giant playground.

As the bus came to a stop, there was a lot of rushing to get off the bus. One kid blew past everyone so fast that he rudely knocked people back into their seats as he went past, and then proceeded to barrel into someone sending both of them to the ground. Ryoma shook his head as he grabbed his messenger bag, and patiently waited for more people to get off before getting up and exiting the bus himself.

Lucy Reed

The bus suddenly gained speed, a lot of it, far more than bus was actually capable of. Lucy was thrown back into her seat, confused but excited as to what was going on. When the bus started to slow again, somebody called out a name that caused Lucy's excitement to skyrocket. "No fricken way!" She shrieked. Mach Valkyrie was hands down Lucy's favorite hero. She had a giant girl crush on the woman and being able to see her in real life was a dream come true. If the bus suddenly crashed and they all died, Lucy would go out happy.

Finally the bus came to a stop, and there was a mad rush from a few students to get off the bus quickly. Lucy turned off her music, put her phone and headphones back in her backpack, and slung the bag over her shoulder. Feeling the need to be in open space, Lucy joined the mad rush to get off quickly, shortly behind the boy who had crashed into another person. Lucy paused for a moment to thank the bus driver, and then simply leaped over the tangled heap of limbs in her way. She turned to help them both to their feet, to find that they had it covered. So the overly excited Californian stepped to the side to allow other people to get off, and started stretching her confined muscles.
