I don´t mind the limitations. I mean, I don´t fully understand them, but somebody has to do the job, and it might as well be me.

Well let me put it short, these are the limitations of a commander:
1.) Can command only one hero.
2.) The said hero must be primarily a support role. (Doesn't matter if this is a mage, cleric, archer or anything of the sort, so long as they belong behind the front line)
3.) Cannot have any regions besides if chosen for the capital commander. (In which case they can command two more heroes)

Dibs on Centralia command :) If I can call dibs.

Sure, but check the limitations before you make sure you want to be a commander.

Realistically, it shouldn't be that difficult for a province to outfit two men with the best weapons and gear, even if they do break them every fight. I wouldn't think outfitting would be much of an issue.

Yeah, no money issues, I won't be implementing it.
Added nation information, generalized for now.

In my experience, it's not really that different from a normal CS except that you add (or expand more on) the powers/abilities/equipment sections.

Hm, maybe I should add money from provinces so that you have to buy equipment.
But of course there is not much of a need for new equipment in Arena RP's I guess. Unless if you like breaking your weapons a lot.

But thanks I guess, maybe I'll take a look at the cached version of the old guild to see how the CS's looked like.
I'm also writing up info for each nation.
I'll make it so it encompasses a lot of possible char types.

I guess my next question then would be if Oriens could be made playable in the beginning. As it stands, your description states they won't be playable.

The nation itself Won't but that doesn't prevent an Oriens hero to go fight in a distant war for glory, money or fame, no?

Also I might be tweaking the strategy system a bit, but in such a way that number of territories actually does something, but that it still remains simple
It would be nice if anyone here is a Arena veteran that could help me with the CS skeleton, since I have no idea how Arena CS's are supposed to look like

So an eastern warrior-monk with access to elemental powers wouldn't be out of the question?

Not at all, as you can see there is a nation called Oriens. They are here for anything far eastern.
I don't see any problems with the traditional set of abilities and species for High Fantasy. However this setting can be stretched to be kind of flexible in any direction.
I presume the intel. Dept. Is dedicated to gathering intelligence as the name suggests.
Even though my character is more recon than spy.

Mari had finally been assigned to a mercenary mission.
Of course, she has been in the mercenary department along with the intel department for some time now, but so far no missions went her way, and then, anticlimactically she finally got one.
Why anticlimactically?
Because her first mission was crowd control.
She didn’t even get to carry a gun to this mission, just Sakura and her… Sonar.
Not that the sonar wasn’t useful, it was pretty effective at finding how many holders are in the area. In any case, crowd control it was.
Mari stood behind most of the PR department guys, she didn’t really like being close to any sort of danger, bunch of pretty angry protesters included. The PR department was pretty stupid in her opinion, but it was necessary in order to keep the Library running… Or at least she hoped.
Oh, and contrary to expectations, one of her “teammates” introduced herself to Mari, it was one of the older members of the Merc. Dept. Of course by that she didn’t mean her actual age.
In any case she was quite short, but she seemed well mannered and quite harmless.
Of course she did read her file. I mean, being in the intel dept. isn’t just for show.
Well in any case she bowed to the girl and introduced herself.
“I am Kuroi Mari, pleased to meet you as well.”
With that out of the way she turned back to actual business, maybe she should summon Sakura to run sonar a few times? It couldn’t hurt to find out how many holders there are besides them. But was summoning spirits like that allowed?
