She stands about 5’11 and weighs about 140 pounds. She is athletic and walks with a deadly grace about her, almost catlike. When the light goes across her face her eyes flash gold. At night her eyes seem to glow in the dark. She tends to keep very clean have quite the hygiene for such a tribal nation.

Personality: Strong willed, loyal, a bit gullible sometimes, trusting, fierce, these are all words that describe Masana but words can only do so much to describe someone. She lets her heart lead her in almost all things.

History/ Background: Masana is the shield of her tribe, the top warrior among her people and also the chieftan’s daughter. She has spent her years defending the tribe against raiders every so often or leading small raids herself against the other Bastet tribes, the Simba, being their main enemy. This all changed slowly though as tensions in nearby kingdoms increased. Hostilities between the tribes ceased and they held a uneasy peace wondering if they would be swept up into the violent war that threatened to reignite.

It was decided after the tribes held a council of all the Bastets leaders and shields that a single Bastet was to be picked and sent as a emissary to the Xiantha to try and aid in the peace treaties to take place if at all possible. This single figurehead from the tribes was to offer their assistance in any way whatsoever to both Kingdoms without siding with either one. This single member was Masana, the tribes felt she had the head for such things while at the same the ability to survive if things did go south. So she left for Xiantha quickly moving through the woods fast able to make the trip in a few nights rather than the weeks it would take a human or elf on foot.

Appearance: Idea of what he looks like, but more muscular.
King Erik is a well built and strong man. His body has been honed in the royal training yard of his youth, as well as experiencing the horrors of battle first hand during the war between the Elven and Human kingdoms. His brutish physique aside, King Erik is known for his gentle eyes and brilliant smile. He can normally be found in his royal attire, but his custom battle armor isn't far from his throne. His Armor

Personality: Erik is a kind man, compassionate to the plight of the common man, but vindictive to his enemies. His brash side has more to do with his relatively young age. He can be a bit stubborn at times, but when it comes to tactics and making the hard choices, there is no better man for the job.

History/ Background: King Erik had an ideal childhood, what with being a prince and growing up in complete safety from the war that engulfed most of the Kingdom of Xiantha. However, when the boy grew into a young man, he discovered the horrors of war. For several years he learned the hardships of command and the bloody business that is battle, until the two warring kingdoms ceased their fighting to form a doctrine of peace. At first Erik was outraged that his father would accept peace with the Elves, especially since they had beaten them back to their own lands, but when he stumbled into a med ward one afternoon and saw the countless men that wouldn't see the next day, he realized that no good could come from continued aggressions.

In the few years after the treaty was signed, Erik's father grew deathly ill, his regrets and responsibilities finally weakening him into a withering old man. The prince was depressed immensely, watching the man who had raised him and done so much for the entire kingdom, slowly fade away. He knew that this meant he would be king, but this thought didn't bring the young man any solace, as he would have traded his wealth and own health to save his father. Regardless of his feelings, when his father passed a coronation was held after the funeral, in which the crown was bestowed upon him. He blinked back tears as he watched his father carried to the royal burial chambers under the castle, turning his attention to the hundreds of honored guests who had both come to pay their respects and welcome their new king. In the crowd there were even some ambassadors from the Elven kingdoms and he could have sworn he saw some dwarves as well, though they could have just been children. Seeing the ashen faces of the Elves brought an inkling of a smile to King Erik's face. Not because he wanted to see them sad, but the fact they were just as upset as the humans meant the world to the new king. He rose steadily from his throne, feeling as if it were in his blood to be there (which it was of course) and smiled at the crowd before him as he spoke.

“Friends and family, as that is what you all are too me, I thank you for saying farewell to my dear father, as well as making this coronation all the more special for me. You are the back bone of the kingdom, from royal adviser to shoe shiner, from knight to farmer, each and every one of you play a part in what keeps us strong.” King Erik's smile grew at the cheers that erupted in the hall, as well as hearing them echoed from the castle courtyard, where the majority of the cities people had gathered on this day. Turning his gaze on the Elven ambassadors, he raised his right hand to silence the crowd. “Though don't think I haven't noticed our Elven friends here. Yes, I did say friends, your ears are not mistaken my people. The war that devastated both of our lands is long over and this is a time for us to help one another, not wallow in the squabbles of yesterday. I know many of you may find it hard to forgive, just as I'm sure there are elves among you that feel the same towards us, but we must persevere for the betterment of both our kinds. I will do my very best as your king, I swear this too you all. My only wish is that you try to do the same. Now, bring out the feast!”

The Elven ambassadors bowed their heads in respect to King Erik's words, while the entire hall exploded in cheers of joy from all others attending. As servants and cooks began to rush around the room, depositing massive platters stacked high with foods from every corner of the kingdom, the young king turned his attention to the large windows behind him. His gaze swept over the castle grounds and rose to look as far as he could into the city beyond. From this day forward, the kingdom of Man would be brighter than it had ever been before. That much he swore to himself before taking part in the festivities as well.

A man taller than average, dark black hair, and a charming face. The only unique feature is that he has a scar on the side of his chin.

Personality: Humor is one of the any things Caldwell likes, he almost always cracks a joke during a tense situation and has a penchant for being sarcastic. He also likes to tease his younger colleagues and even people he barely knows. Even so, he is very loyal towards the king and would never betray a friend. He is easy going and is very lenient with people. Although in battle, he is entirely different, he is very ruthless and is sometimes caught smiling by his fellow knights, which they deem unnatural. Has a small hatred for Elves as he believes they were the cause of the war, but always tries to get along with them.

History/ Background: Born and abandoned by his parents, he was in an orphanage, though he was fairly popular he always had a feeling of emptiness inside because his parents were never there for him. Fast forward a few years later, he was taken in by the king and trained to be a knight, though he disliked the training, he couldn't refuse the king who gave meaning to his empty. He always follows what the king says with no hesitation, meaning that he fully trust the king. After years of training he has become one of the strongest swordsmen of the Kingdom, Presently he has become the head knight and often has meetings for tactics and the like.

To outsiders who dont know him, he tends to be quiet, reserve and observant, though self-confident in his abilities, he's not boisterous or display's in aire of bravado .most times his demeanor is taken as being aloof, Standoffish and with more than a measure of arrogance. He can, but rarely makes friends easily, but is not a fool, placing his full trust only in those who prove worthy of it.To friends,he is attentive, kind and protective. Has a sense of responsibility and justice to those under his care that is difficult to shake off, even while miles away,and it influences most of his decisions.Does not acquire wealth and skill for himself; he thinks of how the riches and new wealth can be put to better use for the Widowed and Orphaned of fallen Comrades during the war. Though he prefers to seek a peaceful solution to problems, he's not hesitant to take up arms in defense of the weak and innocent, he's no push over for once engaged in combat he can be ruthless and overpowering, fully intent on winning.

History/ Background:
Since the founding of the Kingdom, the Sainnodel Family have loyally served the Elven King and Queen, his Father and grandfather having both served in the Royal Guards with Honor. Aramils Grandfather was personally given a specially crafted two handed sword by the King for his years of service which Aramil now carries and practices to become a Blademaster with. After the death of his Father during the Edan Wars protecting a local farming villiage from a Edan scouting party, the King chose to recognize the Siannodel Family yet again for their alligenace and loyalty by offering to send thier Son to train as a Knight and eventually grant him Knighthood when he came of age. Presently Aramil commands the Elven Royal Guard. Aramil holds a personal grudge against the Edan (Humans), having lost his Mate during a Edan surprise attack on an Elven Village.

Appearance:

For a human, Namine has light skin; lighter then most and a fiery red hair that almost seemed to contrast the very notion of her skin color. As far as height goes, nothing special. She's of average height for a human of her age. Her body is slim, and she's able to carry herself quietly and, really, is easy to not notice. Her outfit varies by the day.

Personality: Namine, having been born and raised in Xiantha, as a human has made her calm and collected. She learned early in life when to talk, and when not to. She has a strong conviction for the conservation and protection of life, even if it means the wasting of her own life. Upon meeting new people, she is usually soft-spoken and seemingly shy until she knows how to act around a group or individual. Once comfortable with others she makes it a point to remain completely honest with people, even at times where truth can hurt, beyond that however, she is a friendly individual.

She does have... ticks, however. She hates certain things, such as bad breath, arrogance, malicious blood-lust (duh) and large suits of armor. She hates armor because it gives her anxiety; she sees it as a constant foreshadowing of battle, death and war.

History/ Background: Namine was born, raised and lives in the Elven Kingdom of Xiantha. Her citizenship was granted, despite her being human, due to her father and mother taken prisoners during the war and giving birth to her. She was lucky that the Elves believed that a human born under the influence of their laws would stay true to their way of life, and thus far, it has proven true. The same could not be said for her parents. They remained in a kind of slavery, a slavery tat was only in place during the war to ensure their safety and restrain enemy numbers, but... she never knew them. Or that they had been captured by the elves during a war. There are not many, but she is not the only human native to Xiantha. Because of this, she grew up in the orphanage for war-lost children and, as one might assume, she was... discriminated against. At first she didn't understand it, why the other children and a number of adults thought less of her but in time she learned, and accepted that was how it was to be.

She didn't have her deep appreciation for life until she was thirteen. She gained her adult citizenship and, to prove loyalty to the Elven Kingdom she was to take part in the trial of a Human who'd been caught back during the war. Normally, in these cases, they were all sentenced to death and she was aware that trying to save the human-man would lose her her citizenship, because he had been a soldier and was accused of war-crimes. She went against his case, and said he should be sentenced to death-- the judge could tell why she'd made her decision and gave the man life after his time in the Elven prison. Namine couldn't understand why the judge had done what he'd done; she'd seen thousands of trials to get ready for that day and found herself encountering him after the case. She asked why he made the decision he made and he told her something that redefined her life.

"Everyday, people conform to the decisions that others in higher power make in order to maintain a balance. If the no-one stands away from the crowd to do what's right despite what socially correct, the acts of kindness the elders tell the young in stories wouldn't exists and stories of heroes from the war wouldn't be told."

What he'd said had affected her, and from that day on that was the standard she wanted to strive for, but for all she came across. Everyone she'd ever meet didn't mind the idea of killing, so she would. Everyone who accepted killing would be her antithesis, and she would be the one who thinks life take priority above all things. Even choices made in that life.

Now, at the age of twenty-three, she does the only job a human-woman can do in the Elven Kingdom of Xiantha-- she's a maid in the pubic portion of the Royal Palace.

Vampire Princess: Vivere Lunam

Name: Vivere Lunam (Vivi)
Age: 37 (appears in late-teens)
Gender: Female
Race: Vampire

Appearance:

She is rather tall, by human standards; the Vampire Princess stands at about five feet and ten inches-- her hair is a light silver; almost white and it goes along with her naturally pale skin tone. In at calm state, her eyes remain a human-esque olive colour, but when emotionally or physically active or in direct moonlight, they become a glowing sapphire. They are sapphire, as opposed to crimson due to her natural birth into Vampire life. She, naturally, has high and sharp cheekbones, wide hips and a thin waste. This actually isn't her natural form-- it's one she uses as bait for prey. Being vein, she changes her form constantly to conform to her standards of beauty.

Personality: Vivi can, at the surface, be described in two words. Vein and Naive. A close runner-up, however is spoiled. She has no patience for people that she deems less then her standards of physical beauty. This is to the point that she refuses to feed on 'ugly' humans or elves. However, she is also admit-ably naive. She is gullable, and can often find herself falling for anything that anyone she listens to says. Which has almost lead to her death on more then one occasion. Lastly... she is spoiled. Being a princess to the Vampire kingdom, and her naturally self-obsessed persona, she feels entitled to whatever she desires and can find herself flying into the deep end at the slightest denial of anything, regardless how small..

History/ Background: One of the first natural Vampires, Vivere is the next heir to the Vampire royal bloodline. She was named as 'living moonlight' on account of her hair colour (truly, the shade was common; it was given special attention on her, given that she was the princess). After birth she was immediately taken from her parents and taken to learn. The first seven years of her life would be training how to be the best of what she was, it was the same for all recently born children of Vampires. Well, the same, yet different. They did not receive the same treatment. Most children were beaten if they failed, by one of their many instructors. Vivi was given vocal scoldings when making a mistake. She learned how to be a vampire; how to feed and how much stronger she was then humans, but she was also taught to believe she was better then everyone else. Perhaps it was the confidence that came with this arrogance that allowed her to become the strongest of the children and be worshiped even further all the way until she was returned to her family. This didn't really help her vein and quite negative personality. Other began to call her 'their highness' or 'princess' and she loved it. Most of the time. She despised it when some said it to her. People with the... weird faces. The faces she didn't approve of. The ugly people. Even as a princess, she didn't want to be tied to someone who looked like... *that*. Normally, this might just be annoying to one, but she instructed her first Lycan guard to rip the throat of anyone that she didn't find acceptable, and it was so.

This Lycan was the same age as her and had been created just to serve her. Zekeial. Her first birthday present. While she'd been off learning how to be a vampire, he'd been learning how to be her servant. He'd actually been very good at it. He was a strong warrior and followed her every command like a tamed dog. The two, Vivi and Zeke, actually became quite close (lucky Zeke is aesthetically pleasing, eh?). Beside her parents, he was the only person she'd been polite to of her own accord. Their relationship was never to blossom, however. When she turned seventeen, he was removed from her service and she was left alone. She never learned where he was sent, but she knew her life changed from there. She was being trained to live among Elves, and by the time she was 28, she was sent to the Elven Kingdom of Xiantha. She was to live there until the war was over and 'the human's came to discuss peace'. She was told from there, that she was to start a fire. The years among Elves, however, had made her a bit bitter towards her family-- the ones who'd sent her here. That was all they told her, too. She didn't know if they meant metaphorically, or... However, now the humans were coming, and the time to act was near.

A small run down:

+ This roleplay has the potential to go many, many directions plot-wise.
+ It is set in medieval times, in a fantasy universe.

Rules of Engagement

+ Obviously, you must follow the rules.
+ The most typical RP rules imaginable. Don't be that guy, you know, THAT guy. No godmodding and all that.
+ I expect, at least, decent grammar. Of course, I expect a lot of things that don't come to pass, so, all I can ask is you use some kind of spell-check thingy.
+ If you're character has become an essential member of the plot, please don't just... vanish. I understand things happen, but if you need to leave just... let us know first.
+ You're character may be a d-bag, you probably shouldn't through OOC. I think that goes along with the Fundamental Rules though.
+ When you're making your characters, I'd prefer you just take one of the roles. You can have up to three, but only one of the roles per person. :)

The Different Races:

+Humans
-They're your average, run of the mil, human being. They have a natural advantage over Elves in terms of physical strength and long-term combat strategy. They're capable of controlling magic. They hail from the Kingdom of Terras.

+Elves
- Elves are the residents of the Kingdom of Xiantha, the largest collection of civilized population of the known world at the time. Elves outmatch Humans in terms of speed and on-the-fly combat smarts. Elves are capable of controlling magic, the same as humans.

+Dwarves
- Dwarves reside in the mountains of Elahym. They out-match both humans in terms of physical strength and speed, but tend to... well, they lack the smarts of the others. They're very handy and can make something out of what most would consider garbage. They're also known for possessing a slow digestive system that increases the time food takes to break down and absorb nutrients, allowing little food to last them longer in dangerous situations. They are not capable of controlling magic. Dwarves cannot be affected by a Vampires curse due to their inability to control magic,

+Vampires
-Vampirism has only lately evolved from a disease to a race. Little is known about them, but they hold more strength, speed and smarts then humans and elves. They're faster then Dwarves, but hang a bit below them in terms of strength. Vampires are the most magical beings in the known world and are most common in the wastelands of the Kingdom of Xiantha. When in contact with direct sunlight, overtime, they begin to lose the traits of their Vampire power and become that of a human, regardless of they were before being turned. When they leave the sun, their powers do not return immediately, either. They are capable of altering their physical appearance for periods of time and also mild hypnosis. They also possess the ability to curse on human or elf to become a faithful, werewolf man-servant.

+BastetsRequested Race by Kaylan the Lioness
-Bastets are a race all their own, not something gain through contagions, like Vampires of old used to be but rather they are born that way with the power to transform into large jungle cats as well as a large humanoid form of a monster cat. Depending on what cat they take after would decide the traits. Lions would be exceptionally strong, cheetahs would be fast. Things like that.They'd be able to change at will, though they are vulnerable to gold and silver weapons. They're not invincible either regular weapons hurt them but ti takes less time to heal than something made of silver or gold. Bastets are untamed, tribal and normally quite dark-skinned.. as far as skin color and body structure goes when not in a bastet or cat form. These being hail from the thick, tropical jungles of Nyolo far south of Xiantha.

Story Background:

The war between the humans and elves that had lasted nearly 125 years had finally come to an end. Not by typical terms, but it was over. They'd come to a peaceful conclusion, but tensions were still high. The humans are now sending a convoy to the Elven Kingdom of Xiantha; the convoy includes none other then the King/ Queen of Terras. The Elves demanded that as a sign of good-will. Still though, the Elves suspect the Humans of foul-play, and Humans expect an assassination attempt. It's all one big powder-keg that seems capable of going off, all too easy, and if the forces operating from the shadows have it there way... it will.

Knowing of the arrangement between the Humans and Elves, the Vampires have began their own plans-- their's being to re-spark the war between the two. Assassination of either the Elven or Human king/queen without either knowing of their involvement.

Medieval/ Fantasy Roleplay-- with spices of thriller, mystery, action and drama!

I was really deep and into an RP like this in the last forum I was a part of and I'd like to start something like that here. It's about a Kingdom of Elves that recently (about twenty years) finished a one-hundred and twenty-five year long war. Tensions are still high, but the humans are sending a convoy of officials to discuss a way of life between both kinds.
The Elves are expecting a plot, and the Humans have a similar mindset.

Little do both kind no that a third kind is raising to over-rule both of them. Vampires. They are moving, in secret, to the Elven Capitol to try and start a second war between the Elves and Humans from the shadows.

As you can imagine, this plot would have plenty of room for character growth, action and could go in a many directions. However, it will require some roles filled.

-Human King/ Queen and Knight
-Elven King/ Queen and Knight
- Vampire Emperor/ Empress, Vampire Prince/ Princess and Lycan Slave

*Human/ Elves could have a prince/ princess as well, but it's not essential.
*Other races exist; such as Dwarves
