"Let's look at here. We got a small, forest. Not many people, but if we were ever to get attacked, we would easily be destroyed. All these trees around here? And the fact that phoenixes can use fire to their avail? We'd be burned to ashes within a couple of days. Well, some people." Connor said, shrugging. "In the city, we don't necessarily have to make it in the heart of anarchy. I'm sure there are still some areas of the city that haven't completely gone to hell."

"In the city, we have all the supplies at our fingertips, waiting to be raided. In the forest, we'd have to travel for ages to get some supplies, and just barely be able to carry some back without getting swamped." Connor continued his point, trying hard to persuade Tony. "There are also many more people in the city than in the forest that might still be sane; we could rescue them from the rioting and have them assist us in "bringing order" to the streets."

Connor stared off into the distance. He could just barely see the city over the waves and waves of trees that covered the grassy green lands. He had some of his own personal reasons for preferring the city. Somewhere, out in the city, the man who had gotten him all into this mess was still there. The corporate lackey who had sent him the Email offering him to go to the city for a new job. Connor would make sure his death was long and drawn out. And if he already was, then Connor would beat up the body.

"Alright, so if we make it to the city, we can head to a less densely populated area then all of the chaos in the center and around large areas of the city." Connor argued. "We can set up a base there, and sometimes send people to recruit others in all of the anarchy, or head out into the rioting areas for.. other reasons." Connor was really trying to prove his point now, his stone body actually getting somehow tenser. " It's all up to you, Tony. We can play it safe or we can get ourselves killed."

Hey, has anybody seen Noire? We're waiting on him for both this and DA.

Sorry, been doing some junky junk. Will get a post up for both soon. Will try not to get sidetracked. Will also try to stop beginning sentences with will.
The thunderous clopping of hooves filled the air, and several white horses clambered into the city, their flaming mane's billowing out smoke. They pulled alongside a wooden chariot, and sitting in a tank on top of it was a large, powerful-looking Clawitzer. The Clawitzer pulled the Rapidash to a stop, who whinnied and stamped their hooves. The Clawitzer climbed down the wooden steps of the chariot, it's legs scuttling around with surprising expertise on land for a water pokemon.

Hex had been heading to the lavish hotel when the chariot had pulled in. It had blown right past her, almost causing her to crash into a nearby dragon type. It pulled up by the hotel, and the Clawitzer came out, boasting it's massive claw. Matt quickly stuff Josh into a nearby wooden crate. There, it began asking the group a couple of questions, of which she could not hear exactly. He laid of a collection of photos in front of the group, and Matt shook his head at one of them.

Hex fluttered over to the group, trying to avoid the masses of dragon types filling the area. It seemed there was a lot more pokemon than earlier. It seemed most of them were rushing to Amanda's Threads, which seemed to be getting quite a bit more popular. A lot more dragon types were hanging around the store now, entering in and out with all sorts of goods and clothes and accessories. Maybe the fact some of their team bought all those fancy new clothes that it began to attract others.

Hex quickly fluttered over to the group, eager to see what was happening. The Clawitzer stared intently at Anthony, awaiting a response from the small pile of goo. Hex stared at the photos, recognizing one. Josh was on one of the twelve lying across her, and the Clawitzer seemed intent on finding him. "Hm." She said, looking over them. She wasn't completely sure what was going on. They all had some familiarities to them. Most, if not all, seemed to look like water types.

The Clawitzer informed her as to what was going on. Apparently, he had "misplaced" those pokemon, and he was looking for them. She pondered as to what to do. There were two things that could possibly happen. The Clawitzer had harmful intent toward the pokemon in the photos and was looking for them. Or he somehow protected all of them and was looking for them because they ran away. Hex shrugged. "Don't know a single one."
"In my eyes, there's not much left here to be saved." Connor said solemnly, looking over the city. "A couple of sane people in a world of rioting. Don't see what you're going to squeeze out of that." Connor shrugged. "But I suppose I'll join your little group. Since it looks like you're really dedicated." The massive golem swung another large fist, knocking a much smaller dragon out of the airspace. "Getting a bit cramped here. I suppose we should move out."

Connor continued his long stride down deeper into the forest, trying to avoid the city more. "I suppose you're not quite as durable." He began striding through the trees at a more quickened pace, resorting to his usual method of getting to places quickly. He used his knuckles to swing himself forward, his shoulders shaking wildly. He hoped he wouldn't shake off the spare passengers lying on his shoulders, but it must've been hard to cling to the shaking rock.

Finally, Connor came to a spot in the forest that seemed relatively calm. There were few creatures hanging around, but then again, it was hard to find a place without some lurking about. He could easily stomp on them if they tried to try anything, so he wasn't too worried. As far as the eye could see, pine trees covered the land, with the occasional jutting hill or massive boulder. In the far distance, the city stood tall, a good couple of miles away. Connor lay against a very small, grassy hill, which he could actually rest against like a seat.

Connor lay at the hill, gasping in air. Somehow he felt exhausted? Connor wasn't too sure about how that worked. He lacked lungs or muscles or nerves, but he felt fatigued. He'd assume it was from all the fighting he'd been doing in the past couple of hours. He'd never had a break, and had been up since 2 or 3 AM. He hadn't been too sure about that. Connor layed there, simply staring at the blue sky decorated with wispy white clouds for a second. A Phoenix soared by, passing them over.

"Alright, we can talk all we like without getting swamped by those things." Connor said, relaxing. His shoulders eased up, and his stone joints loosened. He exhaled a sigh of musky, mossy breath. "First order of business; finding a base." Connor relaxed against the hill, staring off into the distance. "I don't think we're going to find some massive bomb shelter stocked with dry food and water out in the middle of the forest. We're going to need to look somewhere else for a base."

"I think one of the best places to find a base would be at least somewhere close to the city, considering that's one of the few places where there are actually some buildings there." Connor said. "Unless you somehow want to make your little fort, which is going to require a lot more than some pine trees and rocks." Connor stated, uselessly kicking aside a smaller tree that could easily kill someone if it fell on another creature. "The best place to find materials or something like that would be in the city.

Noire must be working pretty hard on those posts, huh? Also, lol, I've noticed a trend... all of your stories end with 'and then I died' in some way shape or form.

Working sooo hard right now, typing them up. Working soooooo hard. Like impossibly hard.

Totally haven't completely forgotten about it and have been playing TF2 for the past couple of hours or so.

*cough*

I need to go do something.
Alright, will get a post up soon.
Hex encountered Josh and Matt on the way out, watching as the two entered the store. "Hiya, guys." She replied to the two, watching as they entered the store, right by her. Inside, they seemed to buying one of their large collections of TM. On the way, Hex spotted Anthony, who seemed to be sliding around the road. As she passed, she noticed he had what appeared to be a large spike on his head.

"Hey, nice helmet, Anthony." Hex exclaimed, fluttering around it's glossy black exterior. A golden bird was laid out on the front, and the spike shone in the light, seemingly glowing in a golden light. "Looks much cooler than your old one." The helmet looked pretty odd. She had never seen something quite like it. As if it were from another time, or another place.

Hex almost forgot about the trip to Mt. Dragoncoil due to all of the hustle and bustle of the city's shops. It would certainly be a dangerous trip, considering the path would be riddled with poweful dragon types that could easily sweep the floor with most of them. It was a good thing she spent most of her money on those Reviver Seeds. Some of them could really use it.

Hex spotted Josh and Matt returning, holding a TM. Josh was sporting a great new purple scarf, which looked fantastic on him. The TM must've been really powerful, which should really help with the whole Dragoncoil mission. "Alright, you guys looking pretty good." Hex turned to Amanda's Threads, where Josh had grabbed that scarf. "I just need to grab one last thing."

Hex flew into the store, the door opening up as she pushed through it. She browsed through their selection of scarves, until she found a nice looking yellow scarf. It looked pretty nice. It was relatively hard to put on, considering she had no arms, but finally slipped it on. The moment she put it on, she felt a rapid boost in what felt like durability. It seemed to boost her defense, which was good.

Hex threw 500 of her poke onto the table, held together in a cloth bag tied by rope. She only had 100 poke left, but she supposed she would just keep it. Hex headed out of the door, her new scarf draped against her.
"Rebuild society? Now, that's new." Connor muttered, staring off into the distant city. The skyline had been almost completely ruined by the rioting monsters, who had all but completely flattened every skyscraper there. "You honestly think we can save this?" He gestured toward the almost completely destroyed city. The loud, ear rending roars of riots echoed into the forest.

"I've been traveling for a good couple of hours now here." Connor said, watching as the two crawled up onto his wide shoulders. They perched on top of them comfortably, which was probably the first time that had ever happened. "I've seen whole lot of stuff out here in these past few hours." Connor began walking through the forest, swinging his arms back and forth.

"I'm sure that there are plenty of people out there who are still sane." Connor said, staring off into the city. Smoke billowed out of the rubble and ruins. "But they still riot. They see that society is breaking down, and they just decide to play along with the whole thing." Connor glanced at the two resting at his shoulders, stating between them. "Name's Connor, by the way."

Connor walked alongside the boundary between the city and the forest. He had to be careful in order for him not to venture too far into the boundaries. Several clusters of little creatures cluttered up around his feet, but they did no damage beside minor scratches. It was hard to find an area without any monsters lurking about. "Gotta be careful around here. Anything could attack."

Almost as if on cue, a Phoenix flew by, smoke flowing out of it's mouth, flames erupting from it's mouth. Connor suddenly raised his hand, his stone fist catching it. It fell to the ground, fire crackling and hissing as it faded. "Like that." Connor said, staring at it as it fell to the ground. "A lot of creatures around here are either insane or angry." Connor stomped on another small creature.
"Heh, heh." Connor stared at the dragon, grinning ear to ear. The barrel chested golem reached his stone, boulder arms over his head, clutching his two fists together. A feeling of happiness rushed through him, through his shoulders, and into his two fists. This was beginning to get easier and easier as time passed. He could deal with violence more easily.

Connor swung his fists down onto the dragon's body. It's body's muscles convulsed, it's massive wingspan opening with a sudden gasp of air. A satisfying crunch came from the dragon. The breaking of ribs, he guessed. Connor stared down at it for a moment. The dragon's claw twitched slightly. It still had a slight spark of life in him, a small bit of hope.

He raised his arms over his head yet again, his hands closed together tightly, and brought it down. Another loud thud, and another loud crack. The dragon's scales got some significant damage done, the royal red scales shattering and cracking. Connor stared it down yet again, holding his fists together. The dragon lay down, not a movement within it.

Not a twitch, not another breath. Connor breathed heavily, waiting a couple of minutes. Looks like the dragon had been finally finished off. "Alright. That's that." Connor brushed his hands off on his legs. His hands were peppered with dried blood, and most of his body was covered in long scratches and bruises. The corpses of the the others lay flat on the ground.

"I suppose that's it for you two." Connor said, staring between the Dracoavian and the Phoenix. "
"3000? That's quite a bit.." Hex said, hefting the bag on her.. shoulders? "What do they even sell in a city of dragons, anyway? Scale polishers? Wing wipers?"

Hex fluttered down the cobbled roads of the city, keeping to a low drift so as not to attract attention. Unfortunately, her appearance garnered quite a bit of it. The fact that she was bug-type already did enough to affect her image; It didn't do much to help that she could easily be stepped on by even some of the smallest dragon pokemon. She caught herself getting oddly stared at by most around. They didn't seem angered, more surprised there was a non dragon type. Hex tried to ignore it, but she didn't do too well with being out of the loop. The city seemed to be for strictly dragon types, while most other types were not too common. Hex stared at the large, decadent shops adorning the city's sidewalks. Dragons entered in and out. Hex spotted some various Flygon wearing goggles and scarves, and on occasion a Krookodile wearing sunglasses. The dragon types also seemed to hold a high regard for fashion, too. Hex had never heard of the amazing city before. In all of her lessons, she had only been taught about Allure Town and few, minor facts about Treasure Town. Scale City must've been too far for the scouts to examine, she reasoned. Either that, or they were immediately ejected from the city when they got in.

Hex found a large, seemingly good shop. She entered, shoving the wooden door out of the way. A long, sleek blue serpent was curled up behind a counter, and various items were displayed through signs and frames. A long price board hung from some tightly bound strings on a shoddy wooden plank frame. "Reviver Seeds will be handy.. and with 3000 poke, I could buy plenty." Hex thought to herself, looking over the prices. "So.. one, 800, two, 1600, three, 2400.. still got 600 poke left after that." Hex pulled a cloth sack out of her bag, with a thin piece of string keeping it closed. "Three Reviver Seeds, please." The Dragonair quickly wormed it's tail upward, twisting it around three of the vibrant, energetic seeds and untying the string closing the bag with it's tail masterfully, getting the needed money. It placed them on the table. "Here we are. Three Reviver Seeds and your change." Hex stared at the table, the seeds lying on them. The Dragonair paused for a moment. "No.. arms.. huh." The Dragonair took out it's tail and wrapped itself around the reviver seeds and poke, before dumping them in her bag manually. "It's the hard-knock life for us." Hex added, feeling the light seeds rattling in her bag.

Hex fluttered out of the shop, the seeds giving her the motivation to keep going. They certainly reduced some of the fear she would be feeling for dealing with the unknown. She began fluttering through the crowd, looking for the members of Team Scarab or the other team they met a couple of days ago.
