Name: Wilson Calibur

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Wilson's usual attire consists of a light and dark grey striped shirt. The shirt is, for the most part, tattered and worn. He always wears a dark grey cap, which casts a large black shadow over his eyes, leaving only a set of dark, heavy eyes with charcoal black pupils. Under the shadow, the only thing visible is his wide, mischievous smile and some pale skin with a pointed chin. He has black jeans and padded grey boots. He makes it a point to wear fingerless black gloves. The youth stands at a height of 5"7, with lanky, long limbs. The little skin that Wilson shows is always unnaturally pale.

Personality: Wilson has a very care-free, mischievous personality. He believes that he's invincible; that no one can touch him. He is considered annoying by most. Wilson rarely loses his wide smile. He considers fooling around and messing with people as his hobby, and he's become very good at his hobby. Wilson is actually surprised at the fact he hasn't been punched in the face yet; you'd think that he'd been punched many times with his kind of attitude. He is very sarcastic and care-free, rarely being truly serious. Being alone for most of his life hardened him, desensitizing him to certain feelings.

History: Wilson Calibur has an awful habit of making enemies. He insults people. Pushes them around. Some shifters think his true shift is just being plain out annoying. Wilson was born into a relatively small family. It was just him and his mother for a while. His father had left them when he was at at young age, so he never really knew him much. But Wilson didn't mind. Wilson learned through doing. His mother juggled a full time job along with him, so most of the time, so often, he was left with a baby-sitter for most of the day. Wilson drove every single one of them out. Ranging from throwing things at them, or dousing them with a hose, or even just non-stop talking until they got a headache, soon no one wanted to take Wilson. So his mother decided the best course to take was just to leave him on his own and hope that when she returned, the place wasn't torn to shreds. It wasn't at all a good idea.

Of course, Wilson could never take being stuck in an apartment all day. It was a simple matter to escape. Just climb out the fire escape! No big deal. Wilson began to explore the streets at the tender age of 8. At around this time in his life, the annoying boy began to show his first ever signs of shifting. Sometimes, Wilson got lost out while exploring in the massive city. Darkness came early, and he was left walking along on the sidewalk alone. While Wilson attempted to give off a feeling of intimidation or mischievousness, he was still only 8, and could only handle so much. He would start off at a brisk walk. Then, a light jog. It would then escalate into a full-out run, just running and looking for his house. Occasionally, in the quickly fading light of day, his hand would briefly disappear as he ran. It would reappear after a moment, so Wilson simply blamed it as a trick of the light. It evolved into something much more.

Wilson began to get more in depth with his powers at the age of 14. He realized his main key to his powers was fear. If Wilson was scared or nervous, or he feared that he was about to get attacked, his body activated a neutral defense mechanism that could help him escape. With concentration, he realized he could focus them, and in a very, very slight sense, control what he did with the power. Wilson could choose what kind of illusion he'd prefer in whatever kind of situation he ends up stuck in. By then, his mother was almost never around. She seemed to almost have completely forgotten about him. She payed the bills, and maybe occasionally stopped by to do something or the other, but other than that she never cared for her son. Wilson liked it it that way. For most of the day, Wilson would just practice his powers, learning how to properly use them for his schemes. Wilson rarely ran into trouble. While walking the streets, he could appear as anyone or anything, which made life a whole lot easier. The shifter would committed the occasional crime; maybe disguising himself in a quick hold-up. But he was never tracked down. Who could, when your entire life was based around not being yourself?

For the most part, Wilson walks the street confidently, not a worry in the world. He doesn't care about most people's troubles and stress. When he needs something, he'll take it, and he doesn't have to worry about being hunted down. His overconfidence will probably be his undoing in the end.

Power: Illusion

Strengths: Wilson's cocky attitude is derived from his Shifting Abilities. Wilson can form an illusion around himself, making him appear in different forms. Wilson can set an illusion of invisibility, which is his personal favorite. He can disappear and reappear at will. He can also shift into different forms; he can appear and sound as someone else or some thing, which he uses often to his advantage, or just for his own fun. He can mainly access this power while nervous or fearful, as it gives him a chance to escape.

Weaknesses: While Wilson adopts the appearance of whatever he chooses, Wilson can't adopt what they can do. He can appear as someone different; but he can't gain their powers or their knowledge. That's unfortunate for Wilson, considering how severely lacking he is in physical attributes. He can't kick, or lift heavy things, or throw a hard punch due to little physical activity in his life. The only thing he's skilled in is running. He just hides behind his illusions, and hopes that they can hold strong enough for him to get away. The illusion can be easily shattered by a strong blow to the head to destroy his concentration.

Other Information: He's the Cheshire Cat. Sue me.
Alright, got my app ready and done. Not sure if I should wait for a couple more people or start it now, though.
"Heh.. heh.." Hex chuckled nervously. "Noooooooo..?"

She briefly turned back to Anthony, Josh, and Matt. This was getting a bit awkward. The Bellsprout had knew exactly what she thought, so it must've been picked on a lot. She turned to the other two members of the Bellsprout's team, a Ponyta and a Slugma. Two fire types and a grass type on one team? That was new. Must've been pretty intimidating for the "leader" if his teammates could easily knock him out whenever they wanted.

"You know, I'm sure you're not that cowardly." Hex said, trying to soften the blow. "If you were bold enough to get into the explorers, you're not at all cowardly."

Well, he might still be cowardly. Arnold let anyone in. But Hex was sure that the Bellsprout could just use some.. work around the edges. Maybe mix in some boldness with that fear he was always feeling. If this Bellsprout kept going like this, always hiding behind his teammates, she doubted he would really get anywhere in the explorers, or he or his teammates could get seriously hurt. And she didn't at all want or need that.

"So, you want new teammates?" Hex asked, glancing between them. "Or you want to learn how to work with your current ones?"

Vernon Williams, Vern, Shard 18 Male Vernon has messy, ash black hair that stops just after his neck. He has really light pale skin and a thin frame. He kind of lanky, standing at 6'2. His iris are a charcoal black. He normally wears black jeans, low tops, and T-shirts. He almost always wears his black bomber jacket. Hero Vern is a shy and awkward type of guy. He never had any real friends growing up so he doesn't quite know what to do around other people. He is quite caring though, feeling sorry for complete strangers when they have hard times. Vern is also kind of nerdy, loving syfy and fantasy novels. He has a strong love for art, from music to poetry. His greatest fear in a social interaction is having to talk one on one with a girl, he gets completely flustered and tongue tied. Vernon was born the youngest of six, three girls and three boys, to a wealthy family who leaved in the upper east side of Manhattan. His father was one of the official representatives for the D.U.P in New York and one of the heads of the Anti Bio-Terrorist movement. Vernon lived a pretty comfy life, besides being his school's whipping boy, until his powers showed up. He was being picked on at school as usual but that day he just couldn't take it anymore and he snapped. His powers manifested in the form of a small explosion of glass that shot out of his body, he ended up hospitalizing three of his bullies. After his father found out about him being a conduit he quickly sent Vernon to a Curdon Cay, as a sign that no one is above the D.U.P. Vern spent four years locked up in Curdon Cay, them evening trying to copy his powers on to some of the D.U.P. agents, until he was finally released. Since then he's been trying to reenter society, he has gotten a job at a record store and even started going to college. Glass He can fire glass shards out of his hands, summon large pillars of glass, launch himself off the ground with the pillars (think of ice launch from Infamous 2), with more concentration he can summon bullet proof like shields, construct different shapes with glass. Vern knows how to play the guitar. He use his powers to make glass sculptures.

Accepted! Great app, loved it. I'll probably go to sleep pretty soon, so hopefully this RP isn't on the 5th page when I wake up.

Character Sheets!

PLOT

This inFamous RP will take place in New York City, several years after the events of inFamous: Second Son. Humans and Conduits now live in peace after so many years of turmoil and fighting. You can now see conduits on a daily basis, living out their lives. Specific machines and new inventions have been created for a conduit's convenience. Of the hundreds of conduits released from Curdon Cay, you are one of them, trying to make a living out in New York City. There is still some conduit racism against you from some, but most hold their tongue.

While most of humanity lives in peace, there is the occasional sour conduit. The occasional conduit who uses his powers for evil. They refer to these conduits are Rogue Conduits. Rogue Conduits are supposed to be locked up, their hands bound, and thrown in a cell. The hands are the gateway to a conduit's power, so if they are restraint, they cannot function. Rogue Conduits will work against the heroes, trying to halt their progress.

There is a new group beginning to rise, that's against the progress of conduit and human friendship, that is referred to as The Syndicate. The Syndicate can do something that has never before been seen - they can take away the power of a conduit. Conduits live in fear of The Syndicate, who go around their goal a bit more stealthily than the DUP or The Militia: no one knows about their whereabouts. The Syndicate is made up completely of humans, unlike the DUP.

Will you defeat The Syndicate to save New York City and it's conduit inhabitants with friends? Or will you fight off The Syndicate to destroy and take over the entirety of New York City as a rogue conduit? It's your choice in the world of inFamous.

And so, after 100x seconds, it's posted.
