Her foot hit the floor with a clang. Morro stamped in impatience, and turned to the Illithid with a glare. "The necromancer will lead the group until I return. I don't have time for you to argue against that." As the two continued to argue, the Knight fell silent and let her head droop in despair as the fact slowly sank in that the fate of the Three Nations could depend on these two. Finally something snapped, and she jabbed a finger towards the wizard. "You may be in charge, but the Lich's undead minions won't stop to listen to the Squid talking through the Lizard. Especially in the midst of battle. You are going to have to learn to work together, and if that means him talking to you through your mind then you'll just have to deal with it." Morro leaned forwards and thrust her face up to the Necromancers. "Got it?"

She didn't wait for a response before twisting away and storming up to the bartender. She muttered something to him and he nodded before rummaging around under the bar. She turned away from him and called over to the dysfunctional group over the heads of other frightened customers. "Make your way to the mountain, I'll find you there." The Knight made her way over to the doorway and was halfway through before she stopped and glared back at them, considering something for a second. Finally she spoke a few last words of farewell. "Good luck, and... Don't get yourself killed." With a final second taken to disapprovingly survey them one last time, she gave a small nod and disappeared out of the door.

Hey, just to let you know, I should have a reply up within the next couple of days. Sorry for the delay!
@SaikaAnge So who are you waiting for? Do we know where people are?
Bump. Is this dead?
Haha nah, I'm just away from the computer for a week. I'll actually be able to post, but I can't guarantee it, or any kind of quality.
Hey, I don't know if you guys actually pay attention to this but I'll be away for a week or and won't be able to get on often to post. Feel free to keep on without me. Hopefully it's at a point where you two can sort of take this forwards without me, seeing as Morro is gone and Kij is at the moment a minor character. Anyway I don't know what I'm talking about, just feel free to keep going and I'll try to get on as often as possible.
The words of the Illithid troubled Morro. She didn't like the thought of more of the monsters wandering around, especially if they found their way onto Three Nations territory. It would be impossible to wage a war on both the undead and Illithids at the same time, and disastrous if they decided to attack after the undead had been defeated. With those worrying thoughts tugging at her mind, she hardly noticed when the mage turned to address her. When the silence stretched out, the knight realised and pushed her plate towards him. "No, feel free to eat. After all, you'll need to keep your strength up." Satisfied that there was at least a semblance of peace in the tavern, she stood up and excused herself from the table. "Feel free to sit down and wait. I'll be right back." With a final glance back at the odd group, she made her way up the stairs and into her room.

The bedroom itself was empty. Empty of any armour, or of any weapons. None of her personal belongings were where she had left them, either. Morro swore and strode to the gap in the wall. The once settled dust and rubble had been disturbed, and sure enough there was a single footprint where there had not been before. When she leaned out of the window, she could see where the grass had been pushed aside as people passed through. The path lead up the hill and into the woods. She swore once more, and left the room for a final time.

She made her way back downstairs with a heavy heart. "I'm afraid to say the new recruits who were supposed to aid you have bailed on us. I'll have to go back to my base to gather more troops and equipment, but we don't have enough time for you to wait for me." Morro sighed, and cast a glare out of the window to the path. "You'll have to go on without me, and I'll find you when I return." Her eyes flickered between the three of them. The lizard could not lead, for she was a lizard. Nor could they have a monster watching over the group. But somebody had to watch over them, seeing as she wouldn't be around. With reluctance and a sigh, she turned to the necromancer. "Can I trust you to make sure that the others don't do anything stupid? I want them and you alive, if possible." The knight glanced outside again and guessed at the time before turning back to the mage. "I want you out of here by midday. The bartender should provide you with food and drink for the journey. Agreed?"
Hey, I was wondering what's going on with this? Do you know when the OOC will be up?
Nearly two hundred years. Two hundred years, stuck in a stasis pod. Conscious or not, it was Sam Alkin's worst nightmare. But when she stumbled out of the pod it was not as blissful as she had thought it would be. The air stung her throat, her body felt stiff and unused, and she had to manually opened her eyelids with her hands to get the process going. The cold metal of the stasis pod pressed against her flesh as she leaned against it, and gradually the discomfort encouraged her to push herself off and take a few baby steps away. For a few more minutes she stood uncertainly, blinking wildly at the spinning world before she finally came back to her senses and, with a renewed urge to find something of familiarity, made her way away from the stasis pods and towards people.

She was halfway through the doorway when she remembered the quiz, and with a large amount or trepidation Sam turned back. It wasn't a good sign that she'd forgotten about it, but she'd be damned if she ever made the trip back home, especially so soon. With that thought, she quickly reminded herself that this was her home now. She had to let go of the past, that was the whole point of coming here. To start again. She was pleased to realise that her motor functions were almost returning to normal, and reached the computer with a minimum amount of stumbling. When she was there, she logged on and completed the quiz slowly. The cheery ding of the computer reassured her, and she sighed in relief. No home trip for Sam, not today. 10 o'clock in the morning - good. Plenty of time to get sorted, and scout out the local area for a bit. For a second time, she made her way towards the others.

Though she generally tried to avoid too much interaction with other humanoids, she realised that she would have to communicate to see what was going on. She passed by people who were confused and dazed, searching for somebody who knew what they were doing. A strange blue form caught her eye by the hatch, and triggered a sense of recognition. Her memory was hazy and clouded, but after a minute or two of staring she remembered who it was. The immortal phoenix. Not only were they standing at an open hatch doing something, they had also been awake for the entire journey. She made her way over to the phoenix, and only paused for a second to gawp at the outside. There would be time for that later, and she would be getting used to the view. Hesitantly she coughed, then coughed louder to try to gain her attention.

When she thought she may have succeeded, Sam started talking. Her voice was unnervingly gruff and cracked from lack of use, and it took her several times to form the words she wanted to say. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed, but tried not to draw too much attention to her struggles. Damn, she should have done this before trying to talk to somebody. Finally Sam recovered, and looked up. "Hello... I've just woken up, but you've been awake for this whole time, right? Do you know what's going on. What we're supposed to be doing?" She hesitated and the shade of red that her face had already gone turned redder. She should have remembered all of this, but her memory was letting her down. Two hundred years was a long time. While waiting for a reply, she determined first to locate her animals, and then to explore the land outside; with them, or without. And to help out around the ship, naturally, although it wasn't her main priority.
Character Name
Sam Alkin
Age & Sex
32 - Female
Trade
Farmer
Species
Shapeshifter

Personality
To many who knew Sam Alkin on Erellon would use any of three words to describe her: Protective, unsociable, prickly. To many who have dealt with her shortly, they would use the latter two. She doesn't have much time for people who she doesn't know, and will often be gruff and short in her manner with them, often completely disregarding any polite small talk they try to strike up. However, towards the few friends that she does have, she is very friendly and loyal if not the most talkative. She will support any friend in need, but does not choose friends lightly and often takes a lot of time to truly get to know somebody and accept them as a friend. She is often most comfortable in her animal form, and prefers to be out in the wild instead of trapped within buildings.

Past History
Sam had a relatively normal upbringing. She was raised alongside four other siblings, three brothers and a sister. Their parents worked as trackers, and expected their children to continue on their work when they were able to. However it soon became clear that Sam and her brother Artur were not cut out for the job, often making mistakes and ruining days of hard toil. Their parents tried to help them, but soon realised that if they were to become successful in life then they would have to find another profession. By pulling some favours they were able to get both Artur and Sam an apprenticeship at a local farmers, and both found that they excelled at the work. When the farmer and his partner died, (as they had no children) Sam and Artur took over the farm. They worked the land together, and prospered on the farm for seven years. They were looking to take on their first set of apprentices when tragedy struck the family and a fire took the lives of their siblings and their mother. Although they had been adopted into another family, they had kept in contact and were still close with their original family. The loss struck both of them hard, and they went into mourning in their different ways. When Sam heard about the expedition back to Earth, she was thrilled. She could think of nothing better than to get away from the depression that had fallen over their life on Erellon, and she tried to persuade her brother to come with her too. He had different ways of coping though, and decided to stay behind and face his problems alongside his soon to be wife. Sam was torn between staying with Artur or leaving, but her brother recognised her conflict and persuaded her to go. Though she left him behind with a heavy heart, she resolved to make a new start. And where best, but on another planet?
