So what are the limits on this as far as trainers go?
Sounds interesting.
I feel weird using the same character across multiple AUs, personally.

If it's within a persistent story, of course I'd rather have a persistent character, but when it comes to using the same character to fit into all kinds of different stories... I'm not really into it. It makes any character development and experiences that the character has gone through erased every time, and if you're running them in multiple places at once, it is hard to keep straight what they have gone through in each setting. So you can't really use the things that have changed the character naturally in one rp for another rp, because in that alternate world, it hasn't happened at all. Which -if you are like me and think about the character in the current, developed state- is not just insanely difficult, but also feels like a waste.

This doesn't apply to re-purposing an old, out of use character for a new rp.
I would love to have a food time. XD

But yeah, are there rps that are like... not based on fandoms? I occasionally enjoy those, but only when it is original characters in the fandom universe and not playing as or with canon characters.
Thank you.
Nice to meet y'all, I'm Nyxira.

I'm just checking the place out right now, as I don't really know much about how these kinds of groups work, or how to go about getting into random rps. I haven't joined random forum rps in ages, so I'm kind of nervous and out of my element. Please be patient with me and my very obvious lack of an idea of what I am doing.

Roleplaying career: I have been rping since 2006, and most of that has been on Deviantart groups or private rps. DA rp groups have gotten to be pretty toxic places, lately, so I'm looking to move on from them. I've had a lot of bad experiences with them, so forgive my skittishness. I hope to become less so and to regain some sorely lacking confidence.

Roleplaying preferences: I like a wide range of rp genres, having enjoyed fantasy, mystery, sci-fi, supernatural, horror, and adventure. I least like slice-of-life and romance themed ones. A little bit of romance is fine, but story, character development, and plot progression are very important to me, so I don't enjoy aimless casual character interactions.
Lately I am especially interested in mystery rps.
I tend to write very literately and often in long paragraphs or even pages, but just as in novels, I feel that sometimes a shorter paragraph or even a single line are more applicable to a particular situation (particularly in conversation and direct interactions). I do not like rps that are all one-liners or script style, however.

Hobbies and interests: I really like roleplaying, as it is a really interesting and enjoyable mental exercise, but I also like to play video games; read books and comics; and watch movies and shows (live action, cartoon, and anime alike). During the summers I really love swimming and boating, but I don't really have a lot of opportunities to do so.
I am passionate about and do a lot of creative things, including: Drawing, writing, animating, video game design, singing, voice acting, costume design, sewing, special effects makeup, and other general art and crafting related things.
