Shortly.

Just a regular university student, majoring in hospitality and tourism. Also a history and trivial knowledge nerd, aircraft aficionado, occasional trekker and a D&D player.

@Oak7ree it's equally good that you totally overlooked how Belasý looked when she met Jean's eyes. After I specifically said I was looking forward to his response,as well. =P

Well, sorry, sniper has a narrow field of vision.

I didn't understand any of that. WHO IS JEAN, WHO IS AKIVA, WHO IS BELASY WHAT

It's good that you know our characters.

The dark-haired woman with the blue eyes had something in her, as her eyes met his for a glance. The man next to her tried to pronounce French, but it still had some work to hone the the accent Jean replied in French. "Well, well, it feels almost like we are home again."

Jean continued. "It is good to fell nervous or afraid, but don't let it win over. A man can either be afraid or dead. I still remember the first time I fought the boches."

Jean chuckled a bit and smiled faintly, seeing the Spaniard demonstrating his ability, and remarked to him quickly "We are going to France, and the best you can think is juice? If we get a chance, you can make us a few Calvados popsicles. As long you don't do that to the Champagne."

Jokes aside, they were finally moving. The tension had eased a bit, and some even laughed for a thing or two. Good, good. Perhaps they would form a bond somewhere along the way, but Jean would have felt better for the whole enterprise if they had trained together, even if for few weeks before the big jump. Then one thought popped into his mind. He didn't bring a deck of cards with him. Merde...

"Say", Jean said back to the man "did you bring any cards with you?"
@MegaOscarPwn Listen, I love pompadours. Just look at my signature. The line was just a reference to one of those Japanese animes.

"It's just like one of my Japanese animes!"

>ridiculous hair
>pompadours are the best
Ok.

Stellaris is better, cuz you can have space waifus and form alliances with them :^).

Crusader Kings 2 is the best, you can have medieval waifus and make alliances with their families.
@Lady Selune Is the truck moving? From your characters perspective it seems the truck has already started moving, but other posts still talk about the group as if we're standing around the truck. (Sorry, inconsistencies are a pet hate and I want to make sure I get it right in my next post)

@Oak7ree Sorry, I didn't have a chance to reply yesterday? Is this game on steam by any chance? If so I might try it out.

Yeah, it is on Steam. Developed and published by Paradox.

And then we have this in the Finnish Defence Forces. Quite old video, but still.

Man, the only responses I have to this are pictures of all-female troops from Israel that I took on my trip there. And they don't quite have the same level of humor. =/

Very much BAMFs, though.

@Oak7reeI love playing as Spain and having to immediately deal with a civil war, then I conquer all of France and Italy and I'm good to go.

I've played most of my games as Germany. Once, the Wehrmacht got into a trench on the British Isles, as my armies and the Brits were bottlenecked in Scotland. Two years later, they were still fighting.

Next game, Great Britain is defeated just before the summer 1941. I spent the redt of the years rearming the troops and then I attacked the Soviet Union with Japan, Italy, Spain and Turkey. In the end, SU was divided between Germany, Turkey and Japan in 1944.

Can't say I'd ever heard of it. Just Googled some game play footage and it looks very interesting though.

It basically is a grand strategy game set during the WWII, for short. Most of the time I've spent on learning how to play the goddamn thing, but I'll manage.
