Beringer Keegan Baasch
“The wise warrior avoids the battle.”-
Sun Tzu, Art of War
|Name|Beringer Keegan Baasch
|Nickname|He prefers to be called Keegan due to the fact that Beringer stands out and isn't the least bit normal. He also has a nickname K-Bear playing off his fairly large stature, middle name starting with a K, and the starting pronunciation of his first name. His sister used the name which quickly spread to his peers. Although he bitterly objects to its usage, he turns docile if his sister uses it around him. He generally only introduces himself by his middle name and acts as if his first name does not exist.

|In Depth Appearance|Reaching close to 6’6” and weighing in at 225 lbs, Beringer can only be considered imposing. He has the typical build of a kickboxer, broad shoulders, triangular abdomen, and toned legs. He is a mixture of German and Spanish backgrounds, and his features show signs of both ethnicities. He has hazel eyes but from the side, they hold a blue hue that seems much lighter, they tend to hold dead-set gaze in which even flinching has been worked out of his reflex. His hair is a lighter shade of brown during the summer to which it is often a mess reminiscent of overworked college student. In addition his lips seem to be permanently curved into an ever so slight frown.
Whenever he’s in a match or angered, he takes on a wolfish smile filled with confidence, as if the moment is what he lived for. Generally, he leaves the impression of being somewhat jaded and aloof.
|Clothing Style|Beringer has a painful lack of forethought or care to what he wears or how he appears. Generally he wears a plain solid color t-shirt with a hoodie and trackpants. He has one pair of soccer indoor shoes that are clearly worn down from use with only thin soles remaining.
|Scars, Tattoos, Piercings|Two small hypopigmentation lines across his cheekbones from constant splitting of the skin. He has the nordic symbol for trust tattooed to one shoulder blade and one for honor on the other.

|Personality|♦ Protective ♦ Integrous ♦ Ruthless ♦ Straightforward ♦
Beringer has a set of people that he holds dear, and he protects that group from anyone outside of it. Due to his upbringing, or lack thereof, he often sees things as “us against the world.” Despite his twisted way of thinking, he holds a great deal of integrity, expecting it not only out of himself, but urging others to hold integrity as well. He has a strong aversion to dishonest behavior and will often look down on those who use underhanded tactics. His personality is extremely straightforward and he’ll tell things as they are. He is sometimes blunt and callous, but it also adds weight to his words.
The main reason Beringer is in Red is because of his ruthless attitude when those close to him are wronged. He does not anger easily, and is extremely tolerant unless it involves the group of people he protects so closely. He will go to the ends of the Earth to exact what he judges as an equal revenge. Although he tends to settle things physically back at home, his integrity doesn’t allow him to hit anyone of notably different strength or gender. His overall personality makes him extremely open to backstabbing and he is incapable of plotting.
|Place of Origin|California, slums of LA
|History|Beringer knows very little about his father, the man had left when he had turned 4 and all Beringer ever heard were complaints about him from his mother. He had been born as a second child, his sister was 4 years older than him and his parents were still in their early 20s when they had him. In the following 4 years, his parents had another 2 kids but their relationship suddenly and quickly deteriorated when his mother cheated on his father with a childhood friend. His father was anything but forgiving and eventually, he up and left her with her 4 children and nothing to support them with.
His mother got 3 jobs, one of them being at a nightclub, and worked herself into the ground supporting the 4 kids who were generally oblivious to her suffering except for Beringer’s older sister. When Beringer had turned 12, his mother apologized to each child and left home during the winter, never to return back. His older sister quickly took the reigns of the household at 16 and worked desperately. Despite her tenacity and caring for her four siblings, the money Beringer’s sister brought in was not enough to pay for rent or food. By then, Beringer had been fighting for quite some time. Beringer had become the subject of bullying from his poor appearance and the lecherous reputation of his mother. Likewise, he would receive taunting about how his sister should go into the business. It started as school brawls, but Beringer showed an aptitude for fighting. He eventually went into underground fighting for money and began supporting the family where his sister could not. As he progressed, his aptitude increased, he entered more and more matches and also became more enveloped in the activities of the slums. He always blamed his mom for his lecherous side, but it was allowed to run rampant in the years following his first underground match. He only fought if there was money on the line, but he fought frequently, often coming home in worse and worse shape. Although he had no formal training, after experiencing plenty of wins and defeats, he learned quickly, most of his fighting style comes from others but it can only be described as purely brutal and ruthless.
Eventually a coach, Jake Sadek, found him through an exceptionally vicious street fight video and offered him a place in a MMA team. Beringer accepted but continued to do street fighting for money as a matter of habit. Realizing the root of the problem after a year, the Sadek adopted the family into his own family of himself and his wife. Much to Beringer’s ire, his coach and new father sent him to camp to effectively ban him from street-fighting without consulting him, but Beringer could not object due to the intention and what had been done for him and his siblings, thus he entrusted his siblings to his newfound family and obliged willingly. Fighting in and out of the ring is something that has become integral to Beringer’s life, but he’s been recently trying to avoid all sense of the word “fight”, from verbal to physical. This year would be his first year attending.
|Extra|-Beringer has a long standing shoulder injury that comes and goes almost at random or excessive use.
-The mellow and slow memories that come with summer, leaving it all the more surreal.
|Theme Song|Mistakes Like This- Prelow”I see you more at night then you do the day
I'm more concerned for what you'll leave if you stay
I'm not confused, it's just I don't wanna talk
It seems the key was not to peek through the locks
So I wanna hear all the screams that you keep beneath
I want the words that you whispers when I'm asleep
Wanna give back the things that I never take”
