Thanks for answering, I think I shall stick with my basic setup. I doubt in between working hours for Wall Street he had much time to prepare for the situation and as he is a business man and not a survivalist I will stick with what he has. I am looking forward to roleplaying. Too many of my past RP partners haven't liked zombies.
I'd be interested in all three, especially the first one.
I would most likely change my clothing and appearance if our characters have been living in the described environment for over a week or so. I would also like to know if the zombies are new zombies or classic ones.
Yes, it would help to know exactly how long it has been since the outbreak.

A child birth is no where near as sick and twisted as some of the roleplays I've seen take place in a certain strategy game's online custom maps
