sorry Oni, i can't accept this. his skills aren't needed with the crew i currently have and he isn't particularly interesting so sorry.

Eh ok. Maybe I'll rework it at some point and re-app. Just so I don't inevitably make another character who's skills wouldn't be needed what's being looked for? Looking over apps everything was being done so I just went with something general.
Have a CS with terrible personality writing since I never got those.
Name: Rilr Fiore

Age: 26

Appearance: Standing at 6’2” with a lean build Rilr has amber eyes and steely grey hair. He grows his hair somewhat long – down to his collar to be precise – and has the beginnings of a beard which at its shortest is some simple stubble and even at its longest there’s not much more to it.

Crew Position: Amateur Gunslinger

Power Type: Cleaning extraordinaire

Personality: Rilr isn’t particularly rowdy when it comes to celebrating and such unless he gets really drunk which –despite working in a bar – happens after he consumes very little. He’s certainly overconfident in his abilities which may lead to a few small explosions after he tried tinkering with his guns and he’s equally as stubborn once he starts he needs to finish his task. When it comes to dealing with people this makes him rather difficult to argue with as he often has a rather cynical outlook on events which can make him difficult to agree with in some cases.

History: Life on the open sea always seemed like a dream didn’t it? For Rilr it seemed like more of a nightmare. His parents ran a tavern on a small island just before the grand line in south blue. He’d seen people who’d come back from the grand line after trying to take the one piece for themselves. It wasn’t a pretty sight. Arms lost, major paranoia, some people came back without their mind. Most people who passed through never came back. The open sea was a harsh place and Rilr wanted nothing to do with it.

The bar his family has was a good enough life for him. It was mostly peaceful – apart from the rowdy drunks on their way to the grand line – and they made enough money to make it by. They saw their fair share of action with the constant flow of bandits – in fact it’s because of that Rilr learnt how to shoot. What better way to keep the rabble in tow than to shoot the bottle of sake out of their hands?

Then there were the marines. Rilr wouldn’t have joined them of his own accord. But what better way to be introduced to the marines than by shooting at one of their officers? It was probably beneficial that the guy was so drunk. You know the kind, womanizing bastards who don’t know when to stop. You could certainly say he was shocked when his bottle of sake burst into shards as he was about to take enough swig and he was told he had enough to drink by some mere bartender. This happened around six years ago when Rilr was merely 26.

Then he received a choice, be locked up for attempted murder of a Marine Officer or serve in his crew. What choice did he have? God knows how long he would have been locked up for so he naturally chose the second option brought up by the officers inebriated condition. The next six years were certainly dull for Rilr. Serving on a low end marine vessel as one of the catering staff meant he had to put up with even more rowdy seafarers than before and this time he couldn’t stop them from drinking too much.

As for life on the open sea, it wasn’t as bad as Rilr though it was. They were hardly ever faced with difficult work on his ship. That was until they positioned them in the grand line. As soon as they got to Reversal Mountain in order to enter the stretch of sea they were attacked by pirates. These weren’t weak like the rest they had fought either. The tales were true that those who came back from the grand line were of a different calibre to the rest.

So he was placed in a difficult situation. He could fight these pirates who were so far decimating his lousy marine comrades or he could grab what he can and flee. It’s rather obvious which option he chose. He grabbed his small sack with his belongings in and jumped into one of the small boats they tended to use for landing. He was sailing for ten or so minutes before the marine ship he was on sank. Now he’s left floating near reversal mountain – who knows who’ll pick him out of the water.

Devil Fruit: N/A

Fruit Type: N/A

Abilities:

Combat oriented: He’s a fine shot to say the least. Who needs cannons when you can just shoot out enemies with your pistol as they prepare to give you a full broadside? He knows how his preferred weapons (Gunpowder based projectile launching weaponry) and can modify them in any number of ways - they didn’t even blow up the last few times either!

Generally: He’s a great cleaner and even a dab hand in the kitchen if it comes to it. As previously mentioned he knows the in and outs of gun well enough to modify them in his favour. He’s also trying to learn how to make his own ammunition too but that doesn’t turn out that well.

Others:
Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Strange double post. Not sure how deleting works on this board so apologies.

Okay, we'll need some posting rules. I think a nice 3-4 person break between posts. So if I post, then I can't post again until 3 other people have posted.

I can see your point but could be tedious in times where it's only two or three people involved in a part. If two people's characters are conversing I don't see why they would need to wait for an extra two people to post before they can then continue with it. I can see it working in larger situations where the whole crew is involved.

App is almost done. Writing my backstory now.
This seems interesting. I'll make up an application, presuming the OP is accurate and you're accepting of course.
Dat one week reply though. 2 OP needs nerf please fix riot.

Didn't know how the ranking works to be honest and being able to shoot lightning and create lightning based armor I thought wouldn't count as A ranked. Right now I'm pretty much done so I'm out of magic after that last attack which is why I said it was up to sasha

This doesn't change the fact that you literally leave Ostarion no reaction time when you attack. Maybe it works differently here on Roleplayers guild but where I used to Rp the standard was pretty terrible but we still expected that reaction time. By ignoring that it can make battles one sided and leaves no room for interesting battles to happen. Not to mention it is effectively bunnying since you essentially make it so their character can't counter or dodge.
Now, I know I'm not accepted yet but I have been reading through the RP in order to be up to date when I eventually get a reply to my app. I did however notice one thing involving Jangel13. His posts seem to be a little overpowered as it were. Throughout Ostarion's crypt he has - as Ostarion noted - been charging through decimating everything in his path. The one exception to this was the Wight which took a grand total of two posts to be vanquished. Not only is this godmodding but it also seems like it ruins the fun for those who RP as the people Jangel fights. Ostarion has had little chance to get his minions to fight back since he had the courtesy to give a buffer post where they didn't act violently.

The main issue I have with this however is with the latest post Jangel has made (which in turn brought up an issue in his app when I was looking at the legitimacy of his power). In said post he manages to shock Ostarions character hard enough to make him struggle to stay on his throne. Firstly, from the apps I have read Jangel's character is a B-class mage, Ostarions however is at the lowest a high B-class and at best a low A-class. It may just be me but I don't think a standard B-class magician would have this much power. Then there is the point that I have already made. Jangel gave Ostarion no time to react to his attack. The attack and the infliction of damage were in the same post - a form of bunnying if I'm not mistaken. If he hadn't done that throughout the crypt I would have no issues - everyone makes a mistake in Rp's - but of course that isn't the case. This brings me on to my point about Jangel's app where Jangel said and I quote
Jangel13 said I can also shoot lightning bolts as fast as real lightning
. As fast as real lightning -ten points for anyone who knew that real lightning travelled at ~3,700MPS - no one will dodge that. An overpowered trait as far as I am concerned.

So yeah. That's my issue. I doubt everyone will share my views but I would like those who read this post (especially you Jangel) to consider my thoughts on the matter. No mage below A or even S-class can do as much as him so effectively when against someone more powerful even if it is just minions.
Assuming this Rp is still open (which the OP says it is) I present to you an application of sorts.

Magic

Quantum Magic*

Magic Level:

Due to Rilr being a wanderer rather than a guild member it's rather difficult for him to judge how strong he truly is. From his travels however he estimates he is around a B-rank wizard.

History:

What’s the point of magic if you can’t use it? This was a question Rilr had asked himself since he first learnt about the magical arts on this fourth birthday. His family were somewhat hesitant when it came to such things and thus his first encounter of magic was when he found an old book in his grandfather’s house. His grandfather – on Rilr’s mother’s side – was someone who Rilr knew very little about. He rarely got to visit his grandparents due to them living so far away and that day was only the second time. The first being when he was only a year old.

What this book contained was nothing extraordinary but still since Rilr knew nothing of magic due to his parent’s never using it found it to be an abundant source of knowledge. Form this book he learned things he could never of dreamed to be true. There were tales of people who could achieve seemingly inhuman feats thanks to magic: from engulfing themselves in flames and remaining unharmed to being able to create things just from simple sketches. The possibilities were endless and Rilr wanted to pursue as many of them as he could.

Those dreams led him on. Magic wasn't entirely stable and his parent’s warned him of that but still Rilr pursued his dreams. Quantum magic was especially unstable since you could never truly know if what you changed would stay like that for long enough. It was like a constant time bomb without a visible countdown – it could go off at any second. Through years of training (approximately 13 considering it took Rilr two years to even be able to start using basic magic) he was ready to being his own journey. Surprisingly little went wrong during his training the only casualties were of a few dozen rats in his neighbour’s basement and a cat. At this time he was nowhere near a master of his magic – he wasn’t even sure whether he could class as a D-rank wizard or not – but still he decided it was time to move on.

The next years of Rilr’s life weren't easy. He’d heard of various artefacts which contained traces of an ancient civilisation. What was in most of them was unknown since only two or three had been discovered and even those weren't within the reach of the public. So rather than join a guild like most wizards Rilr began his search alone. Sure along the way he had picked up a few companions but they always parted ways before anything dangerous happened. Dangerous of course often meant delving into various ruins and to this very day nothing extraordinary was found inside of them. A few talismans at most but still Rilr never faltered.

Then, there is the present. So what is the point of magic if you can’t use it? Rilr had asked himself that and he never really did find the answer. Maybe he’d only asked himself that question because he’d assumed everyone in his village simply couldn't use it since they never did. The question now only wavers in Rilrs memory from time to time but otherwise it is all but forgotten.

Personality: Rilr is often a cynical character and doesn't really understand that he shouldn't constantly speak his mind. Obviously he is an adventurer at heart - why else would he go jumping into those ancient ruins - but he also likes to consider himself as someone who stays out of the spotlight. As a person he tends to be a love him or hate him kind of guy since if you don't like him telling you what he thinks then you probably shouldn't be hanging around with him. On the other hand if you're okay with that sort of thing the chances are you'll get on swimmingly.

Team Members:

None that are permanent. He may temporarily work others but he never gets himself into any sort of permanent partnership.

Three Strengths:

1. He has a keen eye for detail which can make him a great companion for places where there may be traps or puzzles to take care of.
2. He's pretty darn lucky. If you can call that a strength at least. He always seems to land on his feet as it were. Also helps if he ends up gambling.
3.He knows a surprising amount of useless facts. It may not be very helpful but they are great at dinner parties.

Three Weaknesses:

1. Compulsive gambling. It's probably a side effect of his good luck but whenever someone offers to play him at cards - for money or not - he simply can't refuse.
2.His magic isn't very combat oriented unfortunately which does make people question why he adventures alone so often.
3. He gets headaches more often than he should. It doesn't happen too often and it isn't nearly as bad as a migraine. It still doesn't help his concentration in a battle though.

Greatest Love:

If you can call delving into ruins in search of ancient artefacts a great love I guess it's that.

Motivation:

Rilr doesn't really have a motivation to find the relics. He just decided to do it and will do until he finds something more worth his time.

Appearance:

Standing at approximately 6'2" Rilr's build can be described as lean so he certainly isn't the strongest of wizards. Face wise he got the standard package, his eyes are sea-foam green in colour and his skin tone is pale. His hair is cut somewhat long but it isn't over the top. If he were to where a collared shirt it would stop around the top of the collar and it is dark blonde it colour. It has been known to be lighter though. In terms of clothing he tends to just wear simple travelling clothing nothing too fancy.
Additional Details:

* = Quantum magic is the manipulation of the world around you. While nothing permanent can come of this magic it does make quite the useful utility due to the magic focusing on manipulating matter among other things such as gravity. In it's most basic form things such moving a wall to reveal a hidden path can be accomplished. The more skilled you are the greater the changes you can make. The greatest downfall of this ability is that it can't actually manipulate magic or people meaning you would need something around you already in order to counter-act another wizard. You could consider Quantum magic to be one of the most basic magic's since there are various other forms which split off into more refined paths - a fine example being gravity magic - but due to it's wide spectrum of abilities a quantum magician can never truly be powerful in any one of these paths as they are essentially a jack-of-all trades.
