Sera Kennithson & Alyx The Banished
A downtown apartment

The last week had been a strange one for Sera, she had been sure she was doomed in that car crash until Alyx arrived. She still wasn't sure if she liked her second chance at life. Sure, she could keep living, hopefully up the the ripe old age of 90-something, but she didn't have any choice in the matter.

Now don't get the wrong idea, Sera wasn't one to get annoyed for stupid reasons such as that she had no choice in her birth, or no choice in being hit by that car. Those were things she was, at the time, unaware of in any way shape or form. This supposed "contract" that Alyx - as she had made herself known as - had pushed on her occurred at a time when she was very aware of what was occurring, she heard every word of what Alyx said, she was likely supposed to. Normally a contract - such as the many medical forms Sera filled out after the accident - included some form of user choice, asking them to agree, "please sign here if... In signing this you agree to... Etcetera". This was different though, she was being told exactly what was wanted of her in return for this "gift".

And that wasn't the only thing, as far as Sera has been told there were various... Implications that came from this contract. The most important two of these were that firstly, she would be unable to go to either hell or heaven when she died, being stuck in a state of purgatory. Sera was never overly religious in life, but always held onto a set of morals just in case. Now that seemed like a waste of energy. The second implication was that the two of them shared pain. Alyx seemed rather keen on keeping an eye on her so Sera doubted she would get herself into trouble, besides Alyx, as it turned out had done very little in terms of research before coming to the mortal realm. She was like a child who'd been given a very, very large toy box.

Alyx on the other hand was very happy with her new contract, and in extension her new toy box. Sure she was weaker now, but she had made it a point to explain to Sera the dangers her powers would bring with them, such as her new bloodlust. Without her help this foolish mortal would rip herself apart, being driven to insanity. At least, that's what Alyx thought would happen. Either way she enjoyed Sera's company plenty enough.

The two were sat in Sera's apartment, Alyx had rather conveniently positioned herself as Sera's roommate. That way no one questioned her coming and going as she pleased. Alyx looked human enough, Sera often mused about her less human features. For example her skin was far paler than you would expect to see, close to yet not impossibly pale, but still pale enough that you would have thought she never went outside without at least SPF-100 on. Thankfully she didn't seem to keep the horns that Sera had first seen her sporting. Now that would have been difficult to explain to Mr Perkins across the way.

Despite the unusual events that occurred over the last week Sera had tried to live a normal life. Alyx seemed fixated on getting her used the powers she had gifted her. Going so far as to throw Sera into a fight with some dealers a few days after they met. It was a... strange experience. She never used to be one for fighting, but as she made use of the cane that Alyx had gifted her she felt herself grow more and more excited. Alyx explained that it was her newfound bloodlust, it was as if it constantly injected Adrenaline into her, keeping her awake and full of energ as she lost her own blood. That way she probably wouldn't fall unconscious until she was pretty much dead. Hopefully, they wouldn't have to test that theory. Sera sighed, what had she gotten herself into?
I personally feel likea good place to start is with the week between the RP and your backstory.

At least that's what I'm doing.

Okay, finished up a set of characters. Tell me if anythings OP needs nerf, I was kind of going for a glass cannon type of thing hence the amount power and lack of defense. But yeah, even then I never know how much to pull back. I also didn't want to just use the demon as a second character, and thus and afterthought, hence the pacts entwining the two into two different roles.

Very interested, has a nice twist on your typical "supernatural" RP.
Rucks checked his watch, surely the drama down at the T.V Hut had died down by now? As stupid an idea it was, they actually served really good food and Rucks hated having to cook on weekends. Ah screw it, they probably had left, and it wasn't like it was miles away. Besides, if it was empty and he could get a meal, then he would have enough energy to steal something of decent value, maybe a painting. Or something else cool like that. The best part, the heroes would be too tired out to stop him! Not once during the formation of this plan did it occur to Rucks that there were probably more heroes in the city than the ones who would have stopped the incident at T.V Hut, but that wasn't important.

The horror! The T.V Hut was a battleground! There had to be at least three dastardly heroes there. Let's see, there was Clint Eastwood, A Ninja (?) and... huh... he couldn't tell if the feminist was supposed to be a hero or not, or one guy who just unleashed some bad breathe. Some super rad suited guy though MUST be a villain. He was too cool not to be.

But here was the issue. Rucks came here to eat, it was close to his apartment and served nice enough food to warrant it being one of his favorite haunts. He couldn't eat because of the current fracas. And so he whipped out his small notepad, maybe he could scare them away with... wait, no that line needs to be wider... with... rub that bit out... with A REALLY SMALL DRAGON. "Go dragon! Plunge fear into their hearts!" He exclaimed as it sprung to life and flew away, coughing up a tiny flame which did nothing but tickle. That wasn't the only flaw. It couldn't open the door by itself. Rucks was rather ashamed.
Turns out it was a one day thing I went to. Will go to T.V Hut ASAP, just for you.
I'm going camping until Monday so chances are I won't pop up again until then, but ill be sure to post when I get back.
I think it kind of suits the city. Stupid heroes and stupid fast food chains for them to sponsor.
It was a good day in Slant City for Rucks, he had nowhere to be and no one to interrupt him. In fact, he'd just had a lovely time strolling trough the cities parks, buying groceries and all that other Sunday stuff. Currently he was in a cab on the way back to his apartment, it was in a fairly decent place in the city. Just down from a nice diner where some commotion was going on, nothing particularly unusual for Slant City, it was filled with these wannabe heroes and villains, including Rucks.

As he slid his key into the lock of his apartment he froze. He heard... a rattling? "Son of a..." he muttered under his breath, he'd made a mistake earlier when sketching, he drew a skeleton in a pile of bones. He'd hoped that it would be fine because of two reasons, firstly, he closed his sketchbook. Secondly it was part of the landscape. But from the sounds of it, he was wrong. He tentatively opened his door, and there it was, a skeleton. As it heard the door open it froze in it's tracks, turned it's head to meet Ruck's eyes. It looked like it was... dancing? Or was it having a skeletal seizure? Rucks wasn't quite sure.

"Stop, just stay there," Rucks said, holding out a hand, reaching into his pocket and bringing out a lighter, he made his way towards the skeletal beast. Until is ran away. Skeletons, as it is well know, are not mythical beasts. And thus, Rucks could unfortunately not control them. But all was not lost, it ran towards an open window! It didn't take long for Rucks to catch up to it and throw it out onto the street. Maybe it would have some fun, particularly at that Diner. Supposing it survived the 30 story fall of course.
