Luca popped up beside Zhijiru's market stall. He had been there earlier by a few hours. He would not normally do that, but the potion shop he used to work in burned down mysteriously, along with its owner. Well, he got his payday before that, so he could last a bit before having to find work again. "Jiru! You're late!" chirped Luca. He grabbed an apple, and looked upon every corner of it. Looked fine. Probably tasted good, and worked well as an alchemical component. Placing a silver coin on the wagon, Luca bit into the apple and munched noisily. With a grin and a wink at Zhijiru, he leaned on the wagon and looked skywards. "Everything the same, huh? I wanted to ask my employer if she knew a way to cure your eye, but it kind of went tits up when she died in a fire. Any news?" Finishing the apple, he threw the core into a nearby ditch.
Luca Weir Age: 18 Hair Colour: Silver, short and a little messy Eye Colour: Blue Height: 1.60 metres (5'3") Body Type: Average Starting Information: A young alchemist healer from Talrasha, he was a bargain hunter for the best items and the best prices. Which probably ended up with his meeting with Zhijiru. He even occasionally worked with Zhijiru on some cases, but he always requested the safest jobs, always warning that "I'm not just unreliable in danger, but actively unhelpful."
The soldier was getting creepier now. Did people start acting this weird after a bite, Ash wondered. Perhaps becoming a mindless zombie was a nice respite after all this crazy panicked thrashing. Ash shook her head, and looked off to the side. She did a double-take as another walking corpse stumbled into view. Uncomfortably close to Rose. Raising her pistol up, she fired a shot, taking out the zombie in a headshot. "The army's a day away of walking, even if you take the open streets, miss," said Ash, shaking her head. "You're not going to make it." With a sigh, she decided to lie. Well, twist the truth. She was technically a zombie, but zombies didn't talk. Zombies don't ask for names. They were brain dead. All this she was not. "And I'm not all of that. I'm not a zombie either. Take a bloody seat before someone tries to eat your face off!" shouted Ash.
Ash guessed that resentful, sardonic tone, came from an infected person. But the soldier's tone when she saw her face, and perhaps refocused her eyes. Ash herself didn't know how the infection progressed in someone who got a minor bite. If the soldier didn't trust her own eyes, how could she communicate? "Well, I'm not sure how to re-assure you..." Ash sat down besides Rose, and placed her hand on her shoulder. "But I'm talking. I'm not sure if the bites cause hallucinations, but I'm here, and talking to you." She wondered what else to say, hopefully to take Rose off her bite wound. "Oh right! What's going on out there? And what's your name?"
