Luca popped up beside Zhijiru's market stall. He had been there earlier by a few hours. He would not normally do that, but the potion shop he used to work in burned down mysteriously, along with its owner. Well, he got his payday before that, so he could last a bit before having to find work again.
"Jiru! You're late!" chirped Luca. He grabbed an apple, and looked upon every corner of it. Looked fine. Probably tasted good, and worked well as an alchemical component. Placing a silver coin on the wagon, Luca bit into the apple and munched noisily.
With a grin and a wink at Zhijiru, he leaned on the wagon and looked skywards. "Everything the same, huh? I wanted to ask my employer if she knew a way to cure your eye, but it kind of went tits up when she died in a fire. Any news?"
Finishing the apple, he threw the core into a nearby ditch.
