Name: Terra Dawn
Parents: Skyra Dawn, Unknown Male, Maya Thuzura Dawn
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Race: Cat Faunus
Weapon: A bow that can be separated into two blades
Semblance: Gale: Summons a strong gust of wind that can either blow away people and things, accelerate her dust arrows or "surf" on the wind to strike an enemy with her blades.
Personality: Growing up with just her mother and her female partner meant for Terra to become pretty wild and shady herself preferring to sneak up on everybody. Usually she also is quite serious, which does not mean, however, that she isn't fun. Nevertheless, she loves to fight with people, verbally and physically.
Biography: When Skyra entered a so called "Racial Science Lab" after graduating from Beacon on orders of Vale's senate to shut the racist facility down, she got captured by some of the "scientists", one of whom actually raped her resulting in Skyra's pregnancy. Back at home, also on order of the senate, some of whose members felt responsible for Skyra's predicament, another group of scientists tried to at least alleviate Skyra's situation a bit. Maya Thuzura, Skyra's current girlfriend and later wife, suggested to inject the unborn child with her own DNA to try and eradicate as many traces of the racist raper as possible from the child.
It worked and, except for a few little spots, young Terra Dawn was a spitting image of her moms.
Of course, being their daughter, it quickly became aware that Terra seemed to have a similar knack for the thrill and adventure of the huntress' job and her parents enrolled her in a school that prepared her for combat quite well. Now, though, she applied for Beacon to become as great a huntress as her two moms are.
Story:
"Moooom! No, mom! I don't need your help! Leave me alone! I can do this on my own...!", the exasperated teen yelled trying to concentrate heavily on the task at hand. Skyra smiled as she watched her daughter balance herself on a narrow stone stele. It reminded her of herself, all those years ago. So much of herself, Skyra could see in Terra that it was almost surreal. But that was kind of to be expected, Terra did pop out of Skyra, 16 years ago.
Having a daughter had made Skyra calmer and less cold. She shook her head and grinned at those thoughts. It had been a few very entertaining years with her daughter, even though at first, Skyra was not exactly fond of pregnancy, but now, she was happy with her life. She had a lovely wife and a daughter who she was very proud of. Speaking of that daughter of hers, Terra had noticed that her mom had not gone away yet and so, she vaulted herself off the stele and glared at her. "Mooom... I can't concentrate when you look at me like that. Go see Maya or something..."
Skyra broke out into laughter. "Okay kiddo!", she wheezed and turned to walk away, still chuckling.
"Don't call me kid!", Terra called back at her mother who was already in another room.

Terra took a deep breath and focused on her target. The feeling she had been waiting for appeared finally and she breathed out sending an arrow flying across the field. Accelerated by her semblance the arrow raced across the field and impacted the target, five hundred meters away, straight in the middle. A quiet "Yes!" and a little fist bump were all the reactions this elicited from her.
Her mothers, though, were a bit different. "Wooo! Nice job!", the panther faunus Maya cried right over the small crowd around the field and Skyra managed to at least give a thumbs up and a small "Nice job" before she had to tame the overly excited Maya.
"Very good, Terra Dawn.", she Beacon head of admissions exclaimed over a pair of speakers. "So far, you have proven yourself worthy of our academy, but your final test will be something different. A huntress must not only be skilled in combat, but in diplomacy as well. We hunters are representatives of our kingdoms and as such, we sometimes have to settle disputes. And this is where my major concern with you lies. The same as with your mother, Skyra." Terra's head snapped to her mom. "In the end, she barely passed, but she sure surpassed all of our expectations. We will see about you."
-
Once again she had been compared to her mother. It was the thing that bugged her the most. As one of the more successful huntresses to come from Beacon, Terra had been compared to her mother for all her life. Not only did she look like her, but she apparently had the same weaknesses her mother had. It annoyed her, even as she sat at this table, slurping on a drink and listening to the two dudes bickering, whose fight she was supposed to solve, with one ear.
Clearly irritated by more or less everything Terra sighed. "Come on, man... why is a single cart of cabbage so important to you? I know stealing it was not okay, but he clearly needed the food for his family..."
She hated settling such arguments. Neither side had the moral high ground and thus, nobody was "really" in the right, at least from her point of view. Maya always told her that the needs of the people should always go first, but mom, Skyra, always insisted that rules have to be followed, especially the most basic ones, to which not stealing a stranger's produce clearly counted.

"I love you, mom.", Terra whispered as she hugged Skyra. "You, too Maya.", she quickly added. "I'll visit you in the holidays, kay?"
Skyra nodded, a lone tear rolling down her cheek. "Have fun at Beacon, kiddo. Enjoy your time."
Lovingly Terra nudged her mother's cheek. "I told you, don't call me kid... please?"
