I typically listen to metal, classical or rock, but here I have found myself listening to a song called "drop pop candy" on repeat for about an hour. I've changed and I don't know if I like it.

Ezzeil could feel himself quickly losing his energy, with sweat creasing his brow both of his arms aching he groaned, putting his strength into each row. He looked up, his target now in view. He could see smoke billowing into the sky, accompanied by green flame. Wow, they must be having some night party! He thought to himself, feeling joy as he continued paddling. It must be some sort of welcoming for the new students. I'd heard that the school'd been strict with the students. Must of just been Blasphemy, this is gonna be awesome! He put more strength into each paddle, pushing himself harder than previously. He was unaware of the exact time, but he figured it'd probably take him about 12 hours before he would make it to the distant crescent shaped island. Dang, he was probably going to miss this party. What a shame. He could feel his arms relax a bit as he came to that conclusion. He gazed down at the old boards he'd been using as paddles, and a makeshift raft. Maybe longer, he thought to himself. I wonder if 2 silver coins were enough He recalled how he'd obtained the boards.

(9 hours earlier)

Ezzeil walked through the streets of Lost Harbor, a fishing town on the coast, just a 12 minute walk from his previous workplace. He'd received an acceptance letter from the prestigious Crescent Academy. Long story short he quit working there immediately. He was never able to hold a job for long; most of his superiors were dismayed by some of his lack of common sense. Bah, to hell with 'em. He was accepted into Crescent. As long as he could survive the academy he was as good as set for life. Who needs nagging bosses? The only problem was he hadn't the faintest idea of how to get there. Teleporting was too expensive, and it wasn't like he could go by horse either, unless he could find some type of horse for water... yes, some type of seahorse. In his thoughts he accidentally walked directly into a big, thick bear of a man, wearing an extremely flamboyant fur coat with all sorts of white and black patterns across it. Ezzeil decided that this man was going to be the solution to his problems.

"Excuse me sir, but uh... do you know the fastest way to get to Crescent Academy?" In response, the man gave a girly pose and backed away a few feet.

"Eh~ first you push me down, then you demand I give you answers? You're such a brute. But you know, I don't really mind that in a man" He looked Ezzeil up and down before giving Ezzeil his answer. "Yes, I do indeed know how to get there, and maybe I'll tell you..." The man walked closer and stroked Ezzeil's blonde hair. "That is, so long as you can pay me. With. Your. Body."Ezzeil was confused by what the man had said, and upon reaching a conclusion he only gave a dark-

"Oh, well if that's what it'll take, I guess it must be done" Before pulling out a knife and bringing it up to his fingers. "How many fingers? I don't think I could give you my whole hand, but I could give you some toes instead," he said, staring into the man's eyes.

The man waved his hands, before bowing his head in defeat and saying, "What a turnoff. I was just going to tell you that the eastern harbor has a sort of taxiing service. You can just grab something there, and assuming the right people are paid, everything'll be just fine"

However, when he got there he didn't see any sort of boats, the dock was completely empty. He remembered that he could just grab anything there, so he left 2 of his silver coins on the post beside him, and began to strip the dock of its boards.

And now here he was, pushing himself forward on his raft of old boards with the distant Crescent Academy in his sights.
Ramera gazed at the landscape, searching for any potential threats. She could hear people speaking below her, but simply ignored the voices, continuing her survey of the land. That was until her name had cut through her thoughts, pulling her attention away from the red land, and down towards Ravenia. She could see her below, ordering the Gate Keeper, instructing some civilian from Paradise, and then speaking to a doctor. What for? She didn't know, but it appeared the situation was rather urgent. She decided that she best quit wasting time.

Ramera gave one hard flap of her wings, extending herself upwards before drawing them in, pulling her head down and bringing herself to a nosedive. She could feel the wind, running its long invisible fingers through her long blonde hair, and tugging on her maid’s uniform. She could feel a rush of adrenaline as she began to near the ground and, with a resounding woosh she expanded her wings out, bringing herself to a slowed descent, landing almost directly between Ravenia and the doctor she'd been speaking with...Toby, she'd believed his name was. Interrupting their conversation wasn't something she took pride in, but it brought her some sort of pleasure deep down. She cast the Doctor a cold, sideways glance, before giving her full attention to Ravenia. "You called?" she asked, an inquiring tone escaping her lips.
Question: Is there a limit to how gory/grotesque we're allowed to write?
By the way, I've added a power to Ramera if you want to check if you're alright with it. It was added mainly to fit her picture for her appearance, and to allow her to signal others from afar.
Hey Cheshire, quick question. Do the Harpies have powers resembling that of the Blessed Children, or are their wings and skill their sole advantage?
Dang, I'd interpreted them as a form of watchmen, soaring into the skies looking for, and reporting threats, rather than eliminating them. My bad. I'll quickly modify that.
Ramera gazed down at the land, staring as the sun began bathing it's red and orange light across the wasteland that was once that beautiful earth that had once been home to the beauty of life, now the only life this land seemed to sustain was that of the dead. Well... that wasn't entirely true, people had proven their ability to survive and she was soaring above the very proof of their existence in this god-forsaken world. Heck, she was assigned with the protection of that proof. A duty she would never take lightly. She stretched her arms above her head, and extended her metallic wings outward, feeling comfort in doing so. I don't really care all that much for the people of Paradise Land, nothing makes them any more special than me, She thought to herself. The entire human race was a different matter, though. I would willingly give my life to protect this paradise, just as much as I would willingly sacrifice others. She felt a little dark thinking like that, but she knew it was true. She would protect what was left of humanity, no matter what it may cost. As a warrior, and defender of such a land, it remained her duty, and she would perform her duties to the best of her abilities.

As she scanned the land below, she played with her wings, spreading them out wide, feeling each talon like feather separate out from one another, then pulled them in, feeling them click against one another. She didn't have beautiful wings like her sister’s; instead she had metal wings, with each feather being replaced by steel knives resembling talons. They'd been heavy at first, but over time she'd quickly developed to their weight. Now, they felt as familiar as an arm, her nerves seemed to go down through each talon, and she was able to control and bend them with ease. She didn't know if it was because of these talon-like feathers, but the people of paradise had referred to her as 'The Falcon' and she hadn't really cared what they referred to her as. The name wasn't really a bad one either.

As she watched the land below, she could see other's going about their daily duties. The Gate Keeper expertly scaling up the wall, using his grappling lines. Apparently he was able to manipulate metals to his will, which was how he was able to control the gates to Paradise Land. She pulled her metal wings in and dipped a little lower in the sky, wondering how much of her he would be able to manipulate. It was a little scary to think that if she were to ever meet him up close she'd be at his mercy.

She drew her gaze down lower, and noticed a girl bowing before their humble leader that was Ravenia, the girl had shorter hair, and upon some close inspection she had some sort of marking on the back of her neck, Ramera was too far away to distinguish what it was, but she decided it was probably a birth mark of sorts, and pulled her gaze away, staring back at the sunset as the sun continued it's climb, feeling calmed by the scene.

@Trillion=Anora to Ramera: "My dearest sister! I've been waiting for you!"Lol, anyway, if you want we can start discussing a shared background via PM until the third sister/brother appears. I have had a few ideas. Also, I don't mind having a different last name if you don't like 'Whiting.'

Yes, let us discuss! I haven't really had that many ideas concerning the background, so I assure you, my ideas'll probably pale in comparison to yours. Though perhaps we should wait before discussing as it seems our third sibling's presence is in our very near future.(I really don't care about the last name, 'Whiting' seems like it'll do quite fine)
Hmm, some more information would be nice, though it sounds like a cool concept to me.
