@ActRaiserTheReturned We are all waiting for it. I mean I feel ashamed for using a faction from a TCG, which means they are quite unknown, but they are badass, and I am sure they will bring a spice. There are some serious BS going on here with factions. I see no way that any native tribe could possibly damage a small tank.
Wheel of time and Dungeons and dragon both have spells that could probably take out multitudes of tanks, as for Cyrodiil they can always bring back the brass god.
@Zadubadabu It seems that our host is absent. He is just off for days, and he makes absolutely no progress. But you know, this is how forums are.
You've got to be patient, it says he is on vacation. And even then school is right around the corner for most folk/already started. Eventually if he feels like he can't do it then he will tell us.
Also @Zadubadabu you could use the original sheet but where it says what universe are you from you can just put original content or something, but you might need to elaborate a little more on your nation because it more than likely doesn't have a wiki page devoted to it.
I like all these submissions but honestly, there's one huge issue. I can only confidently mange 3-5 players or a bit more. I would require a few co-GMs to really make this game work. I mentioned this in the interest thread but I realized I forgot to say it here. So yeah, who are willing to assist me with this game? At times like this I wish there would be a thread for people asking help with larger RP projects.
If you wish Willy i could Co-Gm, although my experience is almost none all I've really done in gming is 1x1's
Faction Name:Armies of the Dragon Reborn Origin: Wheel of time Faction Type: Loose conglomeration of nations led by the dragon reborn, Faction Rank: (work in progress, the GM will give you this) Color: Gray Assigned GM: (Which GM is governing you and controlling the surrounding NPCs?) Starting Area:B7
The name of the world is unknown to most of it's own inhabitants but what is known, about the world is that it was in a state of disarray before the dragon reborn showed up on the scene, he not only united the feuding nations against the dark one and the blight, but he also managed to enter a very fragile alliance with the Seanchan in his time (One of the most powerful empires to ever exist in this world right behind Artur Hawking who they are descended from.) Now while they aren't as advanced as some nations they more than make up with it with the one power. This is the magic in the universe and it's separated into two halves. Saidar which is the female half of the one power, which is described as a loving embrace by the Aes Sedai who channel it, and Saidan or the male half of the source which is described as a fight to the death and before Rand cleansed it from the taint the dark one put on it, drove the men who channeled it insane but still males who can channel are still treated with disdain and not trusted.
While there aren't many channelers about 1700 Total (both males and female) they are basically one man armies, with some of the more powerful ones being able to make use of baelfire, which is used to wipe things out of existence entirely to the point where the victim of baelfire's actions will be reversed, but it has a downside that it makes a baelscream and warps reality and time itself causing very very large problems for them so it's normally avoided.
To compliment the small amount of channelers the armies of light bring with them various nations and their armies, including Mat Cauthon and the red band, and Perrin Abrydra and the wolfguard being two armies of note.
The way the armies of light came into the world were through Gateways, with the armies of shadow defeated it led to a boom in technology (crossbows, and cannons called dragons. After the dragon reborn himself.) But also a lot of research into the one power and the true power (a small part of the source used by the dark one himself but very very powerful, only one the forsaken who are now dead, and Rand Al'thor can use it.) This led to research of the waygates and led to a new world. When the news came to Al'thor himself he and his armies marched through looking for someplace new to form a nation away from the after effects of the last battle. Faction Strengths:
20,000 Aiel Warriors 30,000 members of the Band of the red Hand (Led by Mat Cauthon) 2,000 two rivers bowmen 1000 Mayene Lancers 900 Winged guard 2000 wolves 100 Asha'man 300 Aes Sedai (Nyneave Al'Mera-Mandorgan one of the most powerful healers alive with them) 200 Warders 500 Tower guard 3,000 Borderlanders 40,000 Dragon Legion Volunteers (10,000 have crossbows)
30,000 Aiel Warriors 90,000 warriors of Tear (Sellswords and the like included) 20,000 from Cairhein 80,000 from Illian 200,000 Andorians 2/3rds of which are undertrained and old. 8,000 light horses from Saleda 600 Asha'man (male channelers) 700 Aes Sedai from the white tower (from all ajah's but not as many reds with the separation before the last battle. Also led by Egewene Al'vere the Amiryln seat.) about 700 warders to protect the Aes Sedai mostly for the Green Ajah 30,000 From the legion of the dragon but 2/3rds are untrained volueenters 96,000 Borderlanders 200 "Dragon" Cannons
-as you can tell they are able to field vast numbers of troops -Strong in the use of magic, examples of their magic includes teleportation through Gateways as long as they've seen the land around it, and even using those gateways as weapons called Deathgates -Possible ability to bring reinforcements through the waygates?
Faction Weaknesses: -Very ill trained troops with some seeing too many winters or some too few (Had to throw that in there don't hit me.) -A lack of channelers so they might not be able to keep up with races that can field more magic users than them -most of the nations before the dragon reborn were at each others throats and with the last battle over old rivalries can be exploited and turned against them -A lack of sophesitcated technolgy to keep up with some of the more advanced factions, Examples being the lack of flight, and gunpowder.
My bad, didn't see the ops second post limiting us to 100,000 soldiers i am editing currently. Edit 2: I think i numbered it in the 100,000 range i just wish to ask @Willy Vereb if i can bring reinforcements through the waygates.
Joseph had been standing outside the weapons shop for hours, giving the sign that said. "Out for a forum." The occasional evil had but at the moment he was distracted by the thick grouping of holotags in his hands. Twelve out of sixteen, four are missing and he needed the help to get them back in the name of the brotherhood, he had collected all the intel he could carry from the outpost but nothing was making sense to him he was warrior not a scribe. He put the tags away when he heard someone approaching it was the owner of the store who looked him up and down. "We ain't got nothing for you." He said, "Are you sure, i got a ton of ammo i need to trade for energy cells, and charge packs." Joseph said flatly. The shop keeper looked him up and down. "I don't have any of those anymore, some vault dweller came and bought em. But i suppose i can trade you what little caps i have for the-" "Vault dweller you say, where can i find him?" "I reckon he's still at the radiation roost." In a moment of scrambling he took out the assorted ammo mostly 5.56's and 5mmms and gave them to the shop keeper asking nothing in return and ran off without another word.
He ran through the town, not caring about who he bumped into or knocked over and slammed into the inn nearly knocking down the door. With a critical eye he scanned the room, ignoring the people who threw him looks over their shoulders. Eventually his eyes settled on the vault dweller, and he approached. "I've been looking for you, me and you need to talk." He said, looking down at the man if he tried anything he could grab his pistol but he doubted that it would resort to violence.
All Nicholas could remember was the plane going down and then darkness, when he awoke he saw that he had been saved by the most unlikely of things. A small luggage bag probably meant for a child had kept his head from slipping under the water he could feel underneath him as the shock faded, the horrible pain in his head reminded him he was alive but left his mind clouded. He had to feel around just to insure everything was still intact and that's when he found the shallow cut on his chest just next to his heart, it was bleeding but not badly so he could tend to that later he took in his surroundings and that's when he saw that the seats were upside down, which implied that his section of the plane flipped during the crash throwing it upside down. Which gave a bizarre almost surreal feeling of those still in their seats their heads above him, more than likely dead but a few could still be clinging to life he ignored them he needed air, somewhere where he could think and he found it in the hole of the plane. Hesitantly he made his way into the sunlight.
Nicholas stood in the entrance of the the hole torn through the craft and took in everything, the first thing of interest that Nicholas noted was the holes in the wing of the plane implying it had been shot down, the other thing was the distinct lack of people. He expected more people but there wasn't many, and then it hit him all at once through the fog of the headache, through the pain he was feeling. Whoever shot the plane down would be coming for them and spending most of his life around criminals he doubted they would be in a talking mood faced with this much loot they could walk away with so hesitantly he shouted. "Everyone, find cover!" He shouted, it only got a few people looking his direction the other shell shocked survivors pressed on ignoring him so he shouted once more. "Everyone hide, the plane didn't crash by accident whoever did this is coming for us!" Before he hopped out of the hole and went looking for a place to hide.
