I honestly just picked a number, and the way that the codes are laid out I'd have to stick it pre-White Base or Post-Albion. There's little wiggle room on that one. And I completely overlooked the horse motif, my bad.
Okay. So this is a lot shorter than intended, but I done goof'ed and closed the tab while typing it. My jimmies have been rustled.
Also its not done, I'm just burnt out on working on him for now.
I think I'm done. Maybe.
Name: - Isaac Mendez Age: - 23 Species: - Hooman Occupation: - "That's kind of a hard question, y'know? Like, some say I move things around, other's say I just tell them things, it's complicated. Just think of me like the person you come to if you need something to happen around here, or need to know something." Partner Name: - Penemue Appearance: Sorry for watermark.
Threat Rating: - C-Class? "B? Is that a thing?" Weapons: - Modestly-sized knife, usually infused with Penemue's power. Tries not to fight in general, but he's the one doing it if the duo gets themselves into one. Power/skills:
Extreme Agility: Simple. Isaac's dexterity is increased exponentially. Running, jumping, the works.
Blink: Allows Isaac to teleport a short distance, around ten feet. Only capable if Isaac knows the destination or has sight of it.
Infuse: Infuses the knife, increasing cutting power and adds daemonic energy, heing able to cut through most metals with little difficulty, and burn through other materials.
Info Stream: This is Penemue's main power. Isaac sees most of his surroundings like a chess board, himself moving different pieces to interfere with whatever is going on. With Penemue's power, he can simulate most of the possible outcomes of these conflicts in his head, making the best decision based on whatever he's trying to do.
Personality: - Simply put, Isaac is a little punk. He loves to see people's reactions to things, and wants to do what he can to get a rise out of people. His favorite thing is just mixing several different factors together to see whatever weird result happens. With daemons being in play, this is even better. Have you ever made two or three factions fight just to see the aftermath? 'Cause it's really cool. Due to this infatuation, Isaac has gone around in the underground circuit, knowing a lot of the bigger powers, and every time new blood walks into his part of the city, that's new strings for him to pull.
When in conversation with Isaac, he seems nice enough. Always animated, he has a sense of trustability as he talks- his voice seems confident, and his demeanor is light-hearted enough that there would be no real reason to suspect him. Assuming you know who he is, this is obviously not true. Everything the man says is calculated, the sense of confidence in his voice is genuine in the fact that he's telling you exactly what he wants you to know. The light-heartedness is so he can talk more and add details that can be important or not, depending on what he's trying to sell you on. The biggest thing is that he doesn't lie- he just talks around to get exactly what he wants.
History: - If you ask Isaac about is background and where he came from, he'd reply with something along the lines of "I'm nobody, really." or "I'm not really anyone spectacular, I'm just from around here, y'know?" The worst part is, that's the truth. Isaac was born and raised like a normal kid from the middle-class of the city. He did well enough in school, and he had an average amount of friends. The only real difference is like a switch turned on in his head in high school. With all of the random events happening in his school and the varying reactions that he enjoyed so, what could happen if he started meddling about?
From this point on, Isaac devoted most of his time to learn about nearly every single person in his year, working from the top up. From causing the music department to stealing a different schools supplies to tearing apart some of the more obnoxious groups, Isaac messed with the entire class. However, as this went on, he started to make connections in the less-than-savory parts of the city to make things happen. One of these adventures caused him to meet Penemue.
A deal gone south, and Isaac was about to take a knife to the stomach. This was it, the end is nigh. Suddenly, a force rippled into his shirt and he was hauled backwards at a speed he thought was impossible. Using wit and a newfound speed, Isaac made his way out of the neighborhood alive, and landed with a thud in his home. There, a small cat sat, licking it's paw. "Hello, Isaac. My name is Penemue, and I believe I just saved you. Also, carrying you by the shirt was not easy. If we are to be acquaintances, I'd recommend a tattoo."
Soon after this, Penemue, the daemon, was residing in a tattoo on Isaac's back, and he was working his way up in the part of the town nobody wanted to be in.
Name: - Penemue Age: - Pretty young for daemons. However old that is. Species: - Daemon Occupation: - "I just help Isaac do his thing. Even I am not sure what "his thing" is." Partner Name: - Isaac Mendez Appearance:
Threat Rating: - C-? Not strong by physical measures. Power/skills: - See Isaac. In physical form, they're are all just amplified. Has a telepathic bond with Isaac. Personality: - Despite being with as much as a rough individual as Isaac is, Penemue is actually quite a polite daemon. Not bloodthirsty nor violent, he wants just as much as Isaac to observe human reactions and interactions, as Penemue is quite young for being a daemon. Speaking, he is quite proper, using little to no slang or such unless he is quoting someone different. His mannerisms tend to come off almost butler-like, and it weirds Isaac out, due to where they live.
Penemue being as proper as he is, one would expect that he would open up more as he got to know them. They'd be nearly completely wrong. He never drops his outward mannerisms, staying proper even to Isaac most of the time. Given, he has common courtesy enough to talk to other daemons and people, but not so much to go out of the way to help them if it bothers him. This said, if Penemue is acting out of character, it's easy to tell if the duo is scheming. Hence, Isaac decided that he would do the talking for any kind of manipulation and Penemue would be there for analysis.
History: - Penemue is a young daemon, interested in the ways of the human world, and how the human brain works. To start, he took the form of something noticeable, but not too noticeable. A cat. Perfect. Wandering about, he began to watch people from all walks of life live- young, old, rich, poor- all of these people were living mostly average lives. That was until he discovered a student that truly piqued his interest- Isaac Mendez. The young man's effectiveness at manipulating others was impressive, for a human, at least. After a few months of consideration, the daemon decided to show himself.
After rescuing the human, Penemue introduced himself, and explaining that he could help Isaac even more if he allowed him to reside in his body. This led to that, and Penemue found himself a companion that would show him the ways of humankind, and he could use his power to help.
Alright, I'll just use the Gray Phantom design as a base and add some of the armaments of the White Base as detailing, just so we have an idea of how strong the ship is. Edited version of CS is coming soon.
EDIT: Kay, done. Is the Argent a good name for you guys?
Hope you guys don't mind if I jacked your profile temp.
Name: Quincy Talcner
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Rank: Captain
Appearance:
Personality: Once an optimistic young soldier, as Quincy saw more and more combat, killing his once-kinsmen, he became much more cynical with the world. This has left him with an odd set of emotions; outwardly he is cold and rigid, trying to keep coolheaded and focused on data at hand while ignoring others' emotions. Subconsciously, he genuinely cares for his men, looking out for their well-being. This contradicts with his outward personality, which causes him to second-guess himself almost immediately if it appears that he made anything close to the wrong decision.
If one was to somehow break through Quincy's hardened exterior, they'd see his contrary emotions about spacenoids, as he is one. In one hand, Zeon Zum Deikun's teachings of Earth's sacredness, as well as the Side's independence and pride. In the other, he has seen terrible things done by the Zeon forces, including the colony drop on Australia. He truly wants the Zeonic people to suffer for their crimes, but also wants them to succeed- not at war, but in growing as a nation, to serve it's people and to separate itself further from Earth and to become a beacon to show humankind's advancement.
Backstory: Born in 0050 on Side 3, Quincy was raised normally, living a normal life in the colony for most of his childhood. His family was quite find of Zeon Zum Deikun and his Contolism philosophy. However, with Zeon's death and the Zabi family taking power, his family fled the colony, finding their new home in France. Soon after, as he turned 18, Quincy joined the Earth Federation's military out of his longing to return to space.
As he served nearly a decade, he had pushed himself up the ranks, finally finding himself as an officer. However, as the One Year War broke out, his former love for Zeon quickly faded to hatred as war turned planetside- completely leaving all of Deikun's teachings. An aspiring officer at the time, he took command of some forces in North America. In 0079, with the war beginning and Zeon invading the planet, Quincy and his men fought as hard as they could, slowly losing their defensive line on the continent. As one of the only surviving officers of a Zeon blitz, he was called back to the Federation headquarters to debrief. Here, he was promoted again.
Quincy was finally promoted to Captain, looking at the Pegasus-Class ship he was to take command over, the Troy Horse.
Okay, yeah my interest has been brought to full fruition. It's been a while since I've done something around Advanced, but I'll get started on a human-daemon pair ASAP, but it probably won't be done til tomorrow night possibly mid-Monday, if work is bad tomorrow.
With a similar ship, that'd mean we'd have roughly the same tech-level as the White Base, so like around 0080-ish I guess? Now that we have around 5 of us, should we go ahead with an OOC post, if you guys are all cool with it?
Yeah, I can write up a captain character. I'm still expecting to get some action at some point in the plot if shit hits the fan, but honestly, having a mostly non-combatant character should be interesting for me.
