Current I sometimes crave people, but then they visit me with their families and pets and kids and grandparents and suddenly I just want to be alone so I can sleep in peace. /sleepy

Water bodies, man ...

As MisterListerTheSisterFister merrily made his way along the streamside, picking up yet another lump of nature bullet, he would see a body of a man in tattered, dark robes and black dreadlocks, dark skin, and a very traumatised expression floating towards him. Well, I did mention the direction of the river was counter-norm.

His eyes, bulged, looked into Lister's accusingly as his body snagged to the edge of the river, a cattail bush in the way.

Above the dead man's forehead was a glowing tag that read: FusionC. Looks like someone didn't make it very far.

MisterListerTheSisterFister now has a rugged rock (3), and a smooth rock (2).

Working on your post now! Have to keep it separately posted because you're not in the same immediate location as anyone else.

The uncomfortable approach.

The nude woman turned her head to the holler of the lecherous duo just as the peaceful sound of lapping water was spliced with an obnoxious bell chime.

Smackahoe now has a Fresh Bun.
Luna now has a Fresh Bun, and a Weird Egg.

Right after the two closed their force-opened Inventory, the lady effortlessly glided across the water as if she were on land and charged at them!

For a split second, the word "Nekh" flashed above her head. But she got too close for either to study now that she had her hand on Smackahoe's shin, tugging at him with surprising force - like the pull of a sea tide.

As Jaeger, Nein and Schwerleite ventured deeper into - or outwards - the forest, calm breeze brushed by their hair and faces; it was a serene, sunny weather.

Minutes after walking, they would notice a rustle behind some foliage. An overgrown bush that, from afar, looked like the canopy of a tree that sprouted from the earth on its own. It shuddered again. Then, a growl emitted from behind it.

They could choose to ignore it and hope for the beast - or whatever it was - to leave the company of three alone. Best pray it didn't want a chunk of their asses from behind. Beasts don't discriminate on genders when it comes to succulent butts.

Or they could pry and investigate the suspicious bush.

As if that wasn't stressing enough, there was a bell chime that sounded like a housecat with a bell collar skipped by. Automatically, the inventory opened itself, even though each player's content was visible only to himself (or herself).

At least the ??? bush monster heard nothing. Or it probably didn't care - you're going to have to figure that out as you roll.

Jaeger now has a broomstick, a flintstone, and a Vial of Health.
Schwerleite now has a spear, a Candy, and a Vial of Mana.
Nein now has a broomstick, a rope (long), net (medium), sheet, and a Vial of Experience.

Monster,
How should I feel?
Creatures lie here
Looking through the window

Time will
Hear their voices
I'm a glass child,
I am Hannah's regrets

Oh, thank god. //wipes forehead and shudders

I was wondering if you were here to mess around and hop off the ship after. Anyway, yeah, it would be great to simplify the mechs, but, as it is a virtual reality roleplaying game where stats and skills are half the jazz (in-verse at least), it's hard to come up with an excuse to cut down most of the attributes.

My previous experiences were sci-fi mystery thrillers for a whodunnit plot. Stats were only there to give you a chance to flee an attack if the other night aliens decided to lynch you. Obviously, very different premise and concept. Hence my awkward fumbling with this. (In a crude way you can say this is my VR roleplay GMing cherry popped.)

Anyway, guess we'll make it simple. I'll count the total odds with the RNG, and narrate if something fails or triumphs - health points and mana will be explicitly written, of course.

I need a moment to relax before I write for King Tai, and tbh I'm wondering if @Jin croaked and went to heaven.

Yo, yo.

You read the dictionary like a storybook? And your first language is Chinese? Why, hellooo, brethren!

Nothing more soothing sometimes to know you're expanding the teaspoon-sized vocabulary, right? (And for non-native English writers like us, we will always wonder if our vocab is enough; it rarely feels like it is. Darn critical Asian eyes and mind!)

I spoke Cantonese first, and while it's a dialect, it actually has its own grammar at times. Compare 嫉妒 qnd 妒忌 for example - both mean "envy", but the former is jì dù and the latter is dù jì (Cantonese, read in Mandarin). Back in my hometown, and for some Hong Kong folks, we call English "chicken intestines". Go figure how much the older community like this language.

And I think backstory can be a close runner-up to that difficulty for a CS. Look at all these edgelords populating the site! //mobbed
