Edit: Also on the "gaming is mostly a guy thing", not only is that stereotype getting increasingly false, it pretty much already is completely false. Roughly 47% of gamers are female. I suspect though that a majority of them don't advertise their gender because the gaming community is incredibly hostile to women for some reason.

Yeah, they were pretty irresponsible about it. I'm sure they could have gotten into contact with relevant authorities to get permission to do it, and then it would probably been put on whatever sort of map commercial airplanes use as a weather balloon so they'd know to avoid it. Then the police who found the thing could have just called it in and be told in a few minutes that it's a harmless pizza-balloon for a music video and not a bomb. Really a lot of trouble could have been avoided, but I still like their music.

Some lectures can be really awesome to listen to. Professors, unlike teachers, are usually passionate about their jobs and their subjects. They try to make things interesting because they're interested in it, and they want other people to be too. College is a great place to actually learn things that are useful, cool, interesting, and sometimes even life-changing.

The band Anamanaguchi actually did send a slice of pizza into the upper atmosphere with a weather-balloon type contraption for their music video "Endless Fantasy". I thought it was just a green screen or something when I first saw it.

I don't even know. Half of me wants to tell you you're right and stop being a dick, while the other half doesn't believe anything has any real worth and so it doesn't even matter anyway.
