Beneath the splintered wood, covered till it was near invisible with dust, dirt, insect corpses, something glinted. It appeared to be a small store-brand fireproof safe, no larger than a briefcase, five digit combination lock... should be easy enough to crack, given a little time and energy.

Kwu's pocked vibrated- it was more noticeable now then it was when he was focused on the chase, that was for sure. A message appeared on the little screen, reading "16b".

He's a little bit alive. Don't worry, Ricardo is a tough guy. He'll totally pull through. Eventually. After he gets taken to a back-alley clinic and assuming they don't just harvest his organs and sell them for profit.
...Okay, I'll be straight with you guys- he's probably not going to be in any condition to talk anytime soon. Luckily he's not the reason you're here (even though that was a pretty sweet car chase). No, what you're here for would be in the back room, under the floorboards. Problem is, uh, I think Kwu has the plot box so, you know, I can't really point you towards it until Kwu gets back. If you guys feel like advancing to the next bit I guess just notice that one of the floorboards in the backroom is loose maybe, I dunno.
Anyway yeah things will open up a bit more pretty soon.

In spite of Kwu's efforts, the car simply didn't have enough horsepower the lamp post crashed down atop the trunk, smashing it and massively slowing the car as it struggled to move with collapsed rear wheel-wells.
Ricado shouted over his shoulder as he skated away, "Ha! That's what you get for fucking with the most excellent-"
The most excellent Ricardo Ramirez was cut off as he flew down a nearby alleyway... and torso-first into a car driven by two of Ash's syndicate goons.
One of them - a small Chinese man in a cheap, threadbare suit - carefully placed his soykaf into the cupholder, dusted himself off, and leaned out the side to see who had just slammed into their reinforced plexi window at God knows how many miles per hour.
He leaned back in his seat and gave his partner a high-five.
