Considering these two statements....Ryuu will gladly support Haruka in her endeavors. Ryuu is stoic/cynical. Not Sasuke broody. He can be talkative, but he's very professional towards allies. Though...once he develops more of a friendship his...upbringing will make itself known.

@Mad Hatter I agree entirely about NRP's being confusing. I had looked at ones in the past and it just really threw me for a loop. That said, the World in Revolution format is surprisingly well ordered and controlled. Rather than tons of IC posts and controlling characters, the only posts you make are like 'press releases' to the other Nations. Then you send in your orders to the GM and he updates once a week which makes a year pass. So it's in someways less RP and more Strategy. SWTOR is the only MMO I've made it to endgame. And that was only because of RP. I hate grinding. The RP in an MMO format is a lot faster paced and fluid, but less writing skill and freedom. Like...most things are said in the chat window with your avatar actually doing the movements.

Ah! Marvel! Forgot about one I joined recently. It's a different dimension/reinvent the characters thing. So I made Magneto born in the 80's and an agent of SHIELD.

Err..on topic! I agree that there is a ton of symbolism there. It could definitely make for an interesting relationship between the two. It will be interesting to see the fluidity of how things play out.

Not sure how much you want to deal with canon characters, but if this RP goes for another 11 years ICly...I have this horrifying image of Itachi hunting Ryuu down. Ryuu's going to be hopefully a great deal stronger in 11 years, but I don't see him having the Mangekyou by then if ever.

Stuff about characters

Sounds like a lot of fun. I've typically only played Canon characters in the past, but I've some experience with OC's as in this one. Been ages since I did a Naruto RP though. I got my first introduction to Roleplay in EVE Online and then SWTOR, but slowly moved my way to forum RP because of the freedom it provided. So here I am today. Currently trying out a Nation RP for the first time as Great Britain in the Word in Revolution over in the Nation Section. Also a Tim Drake in an alternate Young Justice setting. So I love this kinda stuff.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Haruka and Ryuu interact. They are both swordsmen/women but their styles seem to be entirely different. Seeing Haruka's pictures you got made my IRL muscles feel inept. :P

Haha. Anyways, really looking forward to more joining us and seeing how this plays out.

Sounds awesome. Glad to know we've got some good GMs running this thing. Really looking forward to seeing how the story plays out.

I'm not quite certain what direction I'm going to take Ryuu. I would love to have him slowly shift from disloyal to actuallly acknowledging his friendships as more important than himself. Yeah..its Tsundere but I've not written one of those in ages.

Also, did that jutsu for the sword styles seem decent?

Sorry :( I would suggest reading through the rest of the thread so you can kinda have some ideas about the character levels and such they have in mind.

My character was about Sasuke post time skip level when I first made the CS and they asked me to chop him down a good bit. So no worries. Hope it didn't destroy it too much.

I wouldn't normally say anything, but since you are still working on the CS and neither of the GMs are on I thought I would give you a heads up.

From everything the GMs, have said they want our characters to be Chuunin level (you marked him as Jonin) and be starting in Gobigakure. From what I understand, our characters need to be under Gobi's administration even if our characters originally came from somewhere else.

So just wanted to put that out there before you spent a lot of time on something might conflict with what has already been stated.
