Current Think I'm gonna finally get to RPing here. Don't know if I'm gonna commit, don't know where to start, and don't know what I'm gonna do, but I'm gonna do it.

I've had Johnny Cash on my mind all day. Can't get "When the Man Comes Around" out of my head. Tempted to let it influence some writing or make it a character's "theme"

I'm a bit scattered brained lately, so if I need to respond to a roleplay response, just remind me, I could've forgotten.

Finally done with the college semester, so I decided to treat myself to a expensive burger and a walk on the beach

Finally got Kokotha thread up. It's gonna be awkward in the first day of moving it here.

Bio

Hello, I am Patches

I roleplay as a hobby, as well as designing OCs to be used in various types of roleplays. No matter the setting, I believe I have one just for the situation.

Some Isz skeletons have shown traits attributed to beastkin, so it is likely. The issue with retrieving Isz skeletons is that they grind down the bones, all but the skull. So retrieving a whole skeleton is rare. She looked to Ash. Do you know about their burial tradition? They remove the head from the body and incinerate the body, all till there is nothing but ash and soot. The head is then submerged in a bowl of corrosive magic, till all the skin and flesh is off, leaving a clean white skull. The ashes of their body are then scattered around the tomb. She said, walking into the tomb So we are probably walking all over him right now.

CHuckling, she inspected the area, looking for any hidden passages not shown in the photos. You may be in it for the fame and money, but I will always do this for knowledge... Well, maybe a bit of money is always welcomed.

Nice set of pipes you have there. QUinn said, Making me jealous. Don't make me want to kick you outta here outta jealousy, 'kay?

@Yomojo
Ah, my day! Quinn said, as he waited for his drink The rough job I mentioned? See I was delivering a package for an anomynous customer, you know that Brumuse man that lives in Villersburg, the man who comes by here for "business"? Don't think you know him. Turns out he's a member of the Drekka. He didn't wanna pay, so he said "You'll be the one paying, paying with your life" like he's some sorta villain from those radio shows. So I got in a fight and roughed him up and took his wallet, but got a few bruises myself. He said, taking a wallet from his pocket. He also lowered the collar of his shirt a bit, revealing a large bruise on his collar. So now I think I've pissed off some Drekka connected to him. But hey, I'll take them any day.

Look who is callin' who indecent! I have these parts of mine cleaned every night. State of the art White Teeth mechanics! I even get parts replaced when I have the money.

Gossick

What was that look he's giving me? Gossick thought to himself, I don't like it.

Thank you. Gossick said, nodding at Jenso. As I'm sure you're aware, magic makes things a lot easier, a non-caster who works in magic has even more difficulty. Shrugging, Gossick put the batteries back under the table.

While to many, magic was a spiritual process and was viewed as such. But to many, such as Gossick, the Universal Machine, and from the looks of it, Mikey, it was all a science.

Now starting to relax, Quinn leaned back in his chair, fiddling with one of his legs. They did sometimes get uncomfortable at the stump. He'd removed them, but he didn't want to leave his guard down like that; never know when someone might pick a fight. So a cat, huh? I always knew that animals could use brand, but never heard of one using one to talk. Didn't think that I'd be talking to a cat and having em answer back.
Ash looked to be helpful for the situation. While her magic could be used for strength, it certainly didn't have the delicate touch of a human being. A bodyguard? My dear, I will watch your back and you can watch mine, Wingate boasted I'm not gentle flower.

The tomb was what one would expect from an ancient tomb. A large crater shape in the ground, with a large entrance at the bottom going into the earth. Archways stood on the road to the tomb, each with words carved into them. Wingate couldn't help but walk over to one and begin attempting to translate. Hm... Before walking away and going over to another, They mostly seem to be Isz burial rites. I've seen the same texts on tablets or walkways near tombs. I suppose kings, great warriors, and even forgotten hero were all equal in death. At least when it came to writings outside the tombs.

At the entrance of the tomb was a small carving of a face above the entrance. Large canine teeth, thin eyes, primate like features, Think that was carved in the likeness of our hero? Wingate said, acknowledging the carving.

Well, I'm no caster either, but I've gotten by this business, haven't I? All you really need is an extractor, rune batteries, and customers to get you off the ground. Magic in a vacuum was tricky. Tapping his chin, he thought about it for a moment, as Michael went off about boasting about electromagnets. If I were to theorize, if you were to put magic in a vacuum chamber it would simply dissipate or fill the entire chamber like a gas. How runes and rune machines would react to it is another question. Likely unstable results?

@Jensoman
A caster? Could you do me a favor, Mr. Caster? Gossick said, reaching below the counter once more, before bringing up three more gas-based rune batteries, these ones lacked the blue aura the other ones had. "Could you fill these? It'll save me a lot of time. I have a bit of a project of my own that requires them.
Mmm... Depends. We should get some supplies before heading for the tomb, no? Water, provisions, I specialize in light magic so we won't be needing flashlights. But we don't know how big the tomb is completely, so at the least a canteen of fresh water will be nice.

SUch a nice encampment... She felt like this was something that most of the White Teeth weren't use to; having pictured them as a bunch of fancy men in suits pulling the strings in the background, she never would have expected them to go out and get their hands dirty. Actually as a matter of fact, her younger self would have expected herself to go out and get her hands dirty like this. I suppose if you define family as a group of people serving a common purpose, living under the same houses, and looking out for each other, than you are family. As they say: The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. She said with a smirk.
Listening and nodding at the pictures shown, Wingate began to get caught up on the situation. If the boys are combing the area, look for statues. They sell for high prices and they are said to be used as markers for their tombs.

Hopping out of the car, WIngate adjusted her hat. It was common for the ruins to be out in the middle of jungles or deserts. Usually if you could locate a temple you could locate tombs, due to how close they were. Yet, this one wasn't near any of the discovered temple. Beautiful~ She said, grinning at the area. In all my years, I never expected to be working at an dig site with the mafia.
Getting in the car, Wingate got comfortable for the long ride. Cars were so amazing to her. Getting around without the need to move around and at such a fast pace, but smaller than a train or boat? What advances awaited the city next. Oh I've been in them. The occasional car ride to get from place to place. humming, she looked out the window, watching the world go by, I would love to have one of my own someday... But enough about my fantasies about cars and the like, what's in store for us today? she asked, awaiting Lucille's debrief.
Quinn

@Yomojo
Oh I intend to get some. Drink a bit and go right back to my piss poor life. Quinn was always the loudmouthed one. Talking about drinking booze on the streets, within earshot of police. Hasn't caught up to him yet, plus, if he ever got in trouble, he was one of the fastest runners in all of New Wickborough.

@Afro Samurai
"Well no better way to mend those hurt feelings than the Grapevine. he said. Quinn wasn't too phased by how weird everything was in this situation. It came with being a courier for a gang of casters. Talking cats, talking dogs, strange monsters that were once humans. He had too accepted himself as an oddity, with his prosthetic legs.
