Current Today I reached the conclusion that, if presented with an exact duplicate of herself, one of my characters would DEFINITELY hit that.

They're not LONG chapters; but the fact I've managed to right 2 meh and 4 half decent ones in 4 days makes me very happy with myself.

"You'll learn quickly that being on schedule is a vital part of working for this agency, Miss Amaya. Rost said plainly as the elemental girl joined himself, Mason, and the others at the elevator. The scribe shifted his attention to Griffin, noting the Vampire's haste, "Mister Green is well aware of that, it would seem." without hesitation, the scribe followed the elder agent into the elevator as soon as it arrived, "Come along now you everyone, time waits for no man." he encouraged, checking his watch, "Sadly, it seems breakfast must."

The professor paused for a moment before casually reached into his jacket pocket, withdrawing a granola bar from some concealed pocket. "Unless, of course, one has been teaching at university for some years and learned to always be prepared for such an event." with that, he unwrapped his snack and began to eat as he waited for the others to board and the elevator to depart.
@KatherinWinter

Just a heads up, I forgot to @ you but in my previous post I noted that Argus had already reached the office, so he'll not be present with the other agents at the elevator.
...@lightningmaiden is literally online right now. I am becoming seriously annoyed by her utter lack of communication.

Just a simple "Sorry, I'm out" would be wonderful.

Also, did we ever hear back from Lightning?

Rost

"We'll be passing on the way to the director's office, so you can retrieve it. It is CRITICAL that you keep it on your person at all times." Rost reprimanded the young demon gently, ignoring his shadow's faint voice. "Before you go on any missions, I'd like to take you aside for a few minutes to make some adjustments to the seal using what data it has acquired thus far. That's enough chatter for now though, the director awaits; and he is not the most patient man in the world." As soon as they had retrieved the logbook, Rost would take Mason straight to the office for the meeting without delay.
Argus

Not needing to eat, shower, or perform any of the other morning rituals common to the more static races; Argus was first to arrive at the director's office, sipping from what seemed to be a juice box but absolutely reeked of undiluted ethanol."Morning chief, sleep well? the djinn asked casually as he waited for the other agents.
"See you later, asshole" Asche quipped, allowing himself to fall backwards into the corner of the room as soon as his shots connected, his body melting away into smoke as he transitioned into Shadow space. "Okay, bullets definitely don't work. Plan B it is, then. If we HAD a plan B." the agent's words echoed into the shifting stillness around him as he dropped the depleted magazine from his rifle and loaded a fresh one.

"What did I see, what can I use..." The large man released his rifle from his grip, allowing it to hang from the sling as he focused his mind on the layout of the smeltery. "Go high, get off the floor. No, no stable perch near an exit. Those vats, though." As he spent those few moments trying to consider his options, the man felt an all-too familiar ache in his arms and the back of his right eye, "Alright, enough thinking, time to get out of here."

Asche centered on his memory of the office from before and a path through the endless landscape of twisted angles began to take shape. The hike felt like it took hours, in contrast to the moments of his previous trip, and the throbbing in his arms had grown nearly unbearable. Finally, the black haired man returned to the real world through one of the many corners from which his surroundings were built; materializing near he door which Stim had just opened; immediately, he clicked on his radio, "I shot one of these things in the spine and it did precisely jack and shit, with all the hardware bolted onto them I'd wager their bones are armor plated too. Aim for the joints, those will probably be softer targets." he rattled off to the others, reaching for his own rifle and noticing his hands were shaking badly. "Wrong, something is. Lost, was I? Confusing. Troubling." shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Asche steadied his breathing and grasped the pistol grip on his rifle.
@Blueflame

Rost paused when he spotted Mason in the hallway, "Of course, he hasn't been issued his agency phone. I should make sure the new recruit gets to that meeting." he remembered, only to be stopped by the demon, "Ah, young mason. Good morning." the scribe greeted cheerfully, offering Mason a hand, "Think nothing of it, I was merely doing my duty. As I explained yesterday, the powers I use were intended to help those who cannot help themselves. My work for the agency, such as sealing that rather nasty other half of yours, are an extension of that task." he gave Mason a quick once-over, "Speaking of which, you are still carrying that book I gave you, correct? It is absolutely vital that you continue to carry it with you until I can finalize the binding. I'll need the information it transcribes to perfect the spell." he waited a few moments for Mason to respond before continuing, "Oh, and we've been summoned to a meeting by the director. If you follow me, I can show you the way."
Hate for it to be that way, but I've had to do it a few times myself.
@KatherinWinter

I think you need to PM the both of them and offer some kind of ultimatum at this point tbh. Like, they have been pinged several times and not given any real response. They haven't posted in the IC either.
