@Oblivion666 "I would assume they would sell tea, wouldn't their customers get thirsty?" The tea was done in a minute, the man reluctantly serving Ike tea then serving some to their boss. The old man took a sip, a bead of sweat going down his head. He placed down the cup "Yes it is worth it. If word for out that my boys got injured by a run-down shop employee, then all the other peasants might actually think. These thoughts will eventually lead to a rebellion, which I can not allow. However, it is not you who has to burn today but rather that shop with that gramps. Tell me your price and I will pay. Talent like yours doesn't come by everyday"
Min the distance, a tall man with a cloak and had coverig his face calmly walked towards them. It took him a while since he walked slowly but he eventually made it there. The old man stood up, the tall man standing beside him. "So what's your choice?" The man asked with a raised eyebrow, now feeling safer due to the man next to him.
@Oblivion666 No, this is no ordinary strength find in the Rukon Districts. Not even the Oguro Brothers can match him alone...but together...heh The old man nodded, sitting down in front of Ike "3 minutes is more than enough for tea" He snapped his fingers, a man limping over with a large backpack. He pulled out a tea set, making tea as the master struck up a conversation "If you dont mind me asking but why do you work for such a run-down tea shop? With skills like that, you could work for me and recieve 3 times the pay you get there. Even more if you aren't satisfied with that"
@Oblivion666 Contrary to what Ike believed, the fat guy was just another grunt. Instead it was one of the men in the middle, a skinnier man with slicked back white hair. He gritted his teeth, the other men pulling him up. He whispered into one kf their ears "Hire those bastard Oguro Brothers" the man nodded, runnirurunning off where they came from. The remaining people stood between him and Ike, each one ready to attack. The old man coughed, pushing everyone out of his way to look face to face to Ike. He leaned on his cane, staring Ike in the eyes
"My boys said you had monstrous strength but not to this degree. You've even forced me to dabble with demons just for your head. I know these weak goons wont entertain you but if youre willing to wait, our finest warrior. And he'll be more than enough to entertain you" He said with a grin.
What do you desire? Fortune? Glory? Power? Revenge? Or something that surpasses all others? What ever you desire, 'that is here'.
Tower of God.
This will be an rp based off of the manwha Tower of God. If you've heard of the manwha, great :D you'd be mostly set to go but if you haven't, thats fine as well since I'll be explaining a good amount of the lore. Not only that, but I'll also be bending and switching up certain things in the RP so we could have more freedom. So this RP will be slightly sandboxish but will follow the lore for the most part.
For those of you that haven't read the manwha, I'll briefly go over the basis of the RP. The RP will take place inside of the Tower of God, a massive Tower comprised of 134 known floors with a 135th that has yet to be conquered. Each floor is about 5x larger than the North American continent. We will be starting off on the 20th floor, starting off as Regulars hoping to reach the top of the Tower for our own personal goals. In order to climb up the Tower, you will have to form a team comprised of other Regulars.
In the Tower, there are 5 different Positions a Regular can take up, along with some Special sub-positions but I'll leave that for later. The 5 Positions are Fisherman, Spear Bearer, Scout, Wave Controller, and Light Bearer. Each skill has it's own sets of skills and abilities. Your Position is determined on the first test of the Tower.
Fisherman The main offence of the battle, Fishermen are to dash into the heart of the enemy force and decimate their forces, usually through physical attacks. They use swords, needles, and various unique weapons from the Tower (will go more in depth with more interest)
Spear Bearer Spear Bearers act like snipers for the team, throwing their spears with deadly accuracy, but they can also serve a purpose similar to the Fisherman's by using their spear like a staff for close-combat. Technically speaking, they take all long-range matters into their own hands.
Scout Scouts will usually run ahead and investigate enemy forces for info, then return and deliver the information to the Light Bearers. They also help the Fishermen with offence. Scouts have objects called Observers that are used to gather information and for other purposes like techniques or communications. There are two types of Scouts, the type that support Fisherman in battles and those that gather information. Rarely, there's a Scout capable of fulling both roles.
Light Bearer Light Bearers store and deliver knowledge to their team-mates while guiding them with the light of their Lighthouse. They are usually the brains of the team and create the strategies to complete each Test. ( A Lighthouse is a cubic box of light, varying with each user which can either store knowledge or communicate with teammates. These Lighthouses can also be used for offense, usually producing wave like attacks )
Wave Controller Wave Controllers are the directors of the battle, aiding their comrades by healing their wounds, annihilating enemy forces or subtly changing the tide of the battle, all through the use of Shinsoo(Will explain with more interest, Shinsoo is vital in the Tower). There are many variations of this Position. Wave Controllers use Wands to control Shinsoo, which come in many different forms. Some come as an actual wand while others can come in the shape of a ring or earring.
The main goal of every character is to climb to the top floor of the Tower, where anyone's dreams can come true and where you can witness a beauty not possible anywhere else. Once you reach the top of the Tower, you graduate from a Regular into a Ranker, beings that have climbed the Tower and are considered gods. On each floor there is a test that grows harder and harder as you climb up. But with each test passed, the closer a Regular is to fulfilling that one wish they've always had.
There's a lot more I can go over but I'd like to see how much interest I can generate first ^.^ I'm hoping to get anywhere between 4-6 rpers, maybe even more.
@Oblivion666 Midori giggled at Ike's explanation of everything, including the date he had with men. She covered Hinami's ears though when Ike decided to give him the F bomb "I'm actually confused on that too, I would of thought Yakima would be scolding you by now like usual" Yakima's eyebrow twitched, regretting on not scolding Ike now. Hinami waved at Ike "Gooooodmorning Ike" She said with a wide smile, glad that Ike had finally decided to greet the two of them. Midori shook her head at what Ike said "Oh no its fine, I don't really mind. But the one you should worry about it Yakima" She stuck her tongue out at Yakima before popping her head out and returning back to work along with Yakima.
Yakima sighed, placing down his spatula "Good job. But it's not a complete job" He pointed at the direction where the grunts had run off, even though he wasn't there to witness it "There's a giant group of them running over here at full speed. If you take care of them I'll raise your pay by hmm...2 dangos and 3 dumplings. Sound good?"
@Oblivion666 Yakima said nothing in return, still annoyed by Ike's no-fucks-given attitude. But atleast he didn't change all that much compared to some of the his other former subordinates. There was one in particular he had heard about often in his shop. Shinzo, the Captain of Squad 11, had apparently become a much more brutal person. However, those were merely stupid stories that wanderers told, right? He shook his head briefly, returning to work as Ike dealt with the customers.
"Oooohhhhh" The last grunt held his stomach, drool leaking from his mouth as he had lost most of his bodily functions. "G-go get that old fart y-you pussy! We'll be back with our boss to trash this place and burn it to the ground AHAHAHAHaaa...ow" Laughing only made the pain worse but he wanted to play it off. The four of them quickly ran out of the shop and back to wherever they came from. Yakima watched as Ike walked in, not asking any questions but merely nodding at him. Suddenly, Midori popped her head in through the curtains, curious to what had happened. She smiled at Ike "Goodmorning Ike, what happened between you two?" Hinami also popped her head over, interested just like her mom. Hinami had grow moderately in this past decade, now having the body of a 11 year old.
@Oblivion666 Yakima's eye twitched at what Ike had called him. He still wasn't used to be calling C and he wasn't used to having Ike around. Yakima threw an apron at Ike, not really caring what Ike had done to wound up here. It wasn't his business and he wouldn't get involved. However, there were rules Ike had to obey here. "While you were away, many dishes piled up since we were short staffed. So wash the dishes" He pointed to the giant stack of bowls and dishes inside of the sink "Afterwards, do the usual of taking orders and serving food WITHOUT starting fights. Also, I believe you forgot to greet Midori and Hanami. I know you don't treat me with respect but I expect you to treat the two of them better than that." Yakima had known of Ike's power growth since the moment they first met. It was obvious Ike had reached the level of a Captain, but Yakima still talked to him as if he was still a new recruit. A bell rang as a group of thuggish looking customers came in. Midori and Hanami were both busy, so Yakima turned to Ike "Do all of that after you take those four orders" He said, referring to the new customers that had just come in.
10 years had passed and much had changed in the Seireitei and in Yakima's life. He was no longer the Captain of Squad 10 but instead a wanted criminal for a crime he never committed. His pleas to the Central 46 were pointless and only left him with a single choice. He had to escape, fleeing with his daughter and wife. They now owned a dango and dumpling shop named D&D, obviously named by Yakima. It was a small restaurant beside a dirt road people would use to travel. They didn't have a lot of customers, but Yakima preferred that. Less customers would mean less attention.
Yakima no longer wore any shinigami garbs but instead clothes of a poor man with an apron over it and a white bandana to pull back his hair. He wiped the sweat off his forehead, preparing another batch of dumplings inside of the kitchen. His wife and daughter both worked as waitresses, taking orders and serving the customers they had. Where is that damn slacker at, he was supposed to be at work 20 minutes ago The bell rang, Yakima looking up to see his smiling wife "It'll be fine, you don't have to worry about anything" Yakima sighed, not wanting Midori to see him in such a bad mood "If one of them found me, it won't be long before another stops by. And of all people, it had to be him" Midori giggled, placing down another order slip in front of him "Trust me, we'll be fine. As long as I have you and Hanami, everything will work out." Yakima smiled and nodded, Midori returning back to her work. He let out a heavy sigh after she left, rubbing the back of his head. "Maybe we should just move to the Human World instead, I'll have to somehow get 3 gigais. But before that, I'll have to ditch the extra baggage"
