I'm curious... Is it only Commander Shepard that died on Akuze/Elysium/Torfan or never existed or is it all of the major characters also?
This is a tough one, but I feel that it has a lot of potential. For those who are not aware, the indie game called "StarBound" has your character lost/stranded in space, with a uncharted planet being your only option of survival/escape/other reasons. The main focus of the game is that it's a sandbox in space with procedurally generated content. There are (almost) no predesigned creatures, plants, events, etc. In effect, it illustrates the universe as realistically as I can think; that the void of space is filled with infinite possibilities.
