Name: Marnie Chambers
Gender: Female
Age: 30
Pre-Apostate Occupation: Nurse
Equipment: Small duffel bag containing a blanket, spare ammunition for a weapon she doesn't have, a tin of peaches, a roll of bandages, a large bottle of water, a pair of socks and a sewing kit. Other things she has are two hospital bracelets, one on each wrist, a wedding ring, two knives and an engraved lighter.
Personality: Marnie used to be welcoming, friendly and happy, the ideal nurse, but after the ' Apostate', she has become cold, harsh and aggressive. Preferring to stay away from other people and only come in to contact when she is desperately in need of something and has no other choice. She will stand up to fight for herself, but doesn't make enemies easily, despite her short temper.
History: Marnie was born in England, growing up with her mother and father, as well as four younger siblings, until tragedy struck. Her two youngest brothers were playing in the street, and the ball fell in to the road. As one brother ran to fetch it, followed by the other attempting to rescue him from the road, they were both hit and killed by a speeding car.
The tragedy tore her parents marriage apart, separating her and her sister and brother as they spread between their parents. The hectic lifestyle of flitting between households didn't appeal to her, and she moved as far away as possible, as soon as she could. At eighteen, she moved to America, starting nursing school. From then on, she was overjoyed.
The days before the Apostate were some of the best of her life. She was married, and had just given birth to her first child. Complications meant that she was forced to remain in hospital, but there was nothing seriously wrong. That was when everything disappeared. Her baby, her husband and all possible ways to contact her family in Britain. She became wild with grief, not moving from the hospital for days, maybe even weeks. Eventually, though she was forced out to face the new world.
She despises the Children of God, as she lost three fingers on her right hand, leaving her with just a thumb and index finger on that hand.
