Virginia is not a showy woman. She dislikes public exposure and prefers to observe from the sidelines. She is (in)famous for her rapier wit and does not gladly suffer the company of fools. She has a few close friends but mostly spends her time alone with her three German shepherds. When she speaks, she is direct and to the point. To her, time is a commodity and does not wish to spend it on pleasantries. She is extremely intelligent, testing at genius levels as early as 9th grade. Life has made her bitter, a bitterness she suppresses deep within her. In her weakest moments, she finds more strength to suppress in a glass of sherry. Her piercing gaze passes instantaneous judgment and gives an accurate estimate of your worth. She is not easy to fool, those that have tried have always failed.

Virginia Dredd was born to a defense attorney and his homemaker wife in 1959 in Martha's Vineyard. She had a younger sister named Mabel who was her constant companion. Home life was very unhappy. Their mother was emotionally abusive to every family member and was prone to fits of histrionics and constantly threatened suicide. In 1966, Mr. Dredd filed for divorce after his wife gave Mabel a concussion when she slapped her, causing her to fall down a flight of stairs. Mrs. Dredd was awarded custody of the girls, however, when she convinced the judge that Mr. Dredd was the abuser. He was arrested, and Mrs. Dredd fled with her two daughters to Boston, where her abusive tendencies worsened. At that point, Virginia dedicated every ounce of her being to succeed. To her success was the key to escaping her mother. The day she was offered a full ride to Harvard Law School in 1976 was one of the happiest days of her life. In her jubilation she had forgotten all about her sister, who she would be leaving alone with their mother. The day she left, Ginny urged her sister to do the same as her. That was not to be. When Mabel graduated two years later, she could only afford to attend nursing school. She was still trapped with her mother, who now focused all her vitriol on her remaining daughter. Mabel grew to resent her sister for escaping. A resentment that grew more intense as the years went by. Virginia worked her way through school, graduating with a doctorate in law, a masters in political science and an associates in psychology. Back at home, Mabel was finally free of her mother, who died in a suspicious fall, nut no further inquiry was made. Mabel still resented her sister, and thus cut all ties with her. Virginia, now effectively without family, focused all her energy on her work. She became a DA in 1987 and eventually set up a private firm in 1990. over 20 years she built it up to a wildly successful firm with some of the greatest and brightest attorneys from all over the world. In 2010, she sold the firm and retired to Lakewood Summit as one of the wealthiest women to ever grace its grounds
