I like it a lot! Especially enjoy the deep cut for inspiration. Consider yourself approved, go ahead and post Itimpu in the CS tab.

I'm okay with having more vampires. I think generally going with the Dracula lore is good, though as noted he has additional powers due to being a magician as well.
Thank you for your patience! We are now live!

A little mood music for you fine people while we're at it.

Okay, I think between the two interest threads there's enough interest! I'll work on an OOC over the weekend, no guarantees but hopefully we can launch on Monday.

In the meantime, open to suggestions or questions!

@Martian I am of two minds about the setting TBH- the 30s would be a lot of fun and truer to the spirit but a modern setting might be more accessible and offer new storytelling opportunities. Might just see what the general mood is.
Yeah, this sounds enjoyable. I'm a bit rusty but this sounds like a good way to ease back in.

Hadn't really thought of it as a Castlevania pastiche but now that you mention it there's definitely similarities. I was going more for a Universal Horror thing, like what they tried (and failed badly) to do a few years back with the Tom Cruise mummy movie. Of course it'd be a broad interpretation, more of an inspiration rather than an exact copy. So people would of course be free to do their own characters or reimagine the classics- for instance I was planning to have a Phantom of the Opera character.

Basically think The Monster Squad without the kids, if that makes sense.

Also, was thinking a modern setting, but wondered if people might have fun with the 30s setting of the classic movies. Just a thought, either sounds good.
