As he comes to the place where he left the beast Kir-Kon slows to a stop, hesitating only a few seconds before walking out into the actual clearing. It is small, and shady, so he takes a few seconds to look around before slouching slightly and kicking the ground. 'Looks like it's gone, not that it had a need to stay or anything, but I thought it might be different from other animals. I guess I was just hoping. I really should stop doing that, it only leads me to disa-' His thoughts come to a screeching halt when his survival instincts kick I and he freezes at a new sound. Slowly his head rotates to locate the sound and it isn't until the dark beast steps into sight that the youth relaxes, a gentle look coming to his face.

“There you are. I thought you'd gone. Not that I'd blame you, that was one hell of a reception you got.” He closes his eyes, letting those tendrils “look” him over without having to worry about one poking him in the eye or anything. Once they draw back he watches with a soft look as the beast flops down like a big dog and the image pulls a small smile to his lips. “Once you decided I'm okay you gave up being vigilant around me huh? I guess I am unassuming and pathetic, so that makes sense. . . “ His voice trails off at the sound of the whine and it takes him a minute to do anything. He's spent a lot of time around animals, watching how they interact with one another and in truth understand them better than people.

So at the “Call”, the small sound that he recognizes as a “come hither” noise, Kir-Kon is unsure what to make of it. “That sounded like a mama calling to her cubs, though I can see now you are most definitely a boy. Am I your pet now or something? That's not a bad thing I suppose, but it is odd of a wild animal. Maybe I was right about you. Maybe. . .you're different. . . .” Finally responding to the noise Kir-Kon carefully makes his way over to the creature, turning and taking a seat in between it's outstretched legs. He's not quite confident enough yet to actually press up against the beast so he settles best he can without touching that slick furry underbelly.

Turning his focus on to his lunch to help him stay calm he pulls the drawstring and looks inside. He smiles again lightly at the sight of a decent portion of meat. “If those teeth are any indicator, you eat meat, so this is good. I can share.” Pulling out the entire lunch he lays the sack flat like a very small picnic blanket and sets out the meager meal. Despite being smallish the food is a good quality, the bread fresh, the cheese firm, the meat not overcooked, and as he cracks open the small jug of what must be his drink the tangy smell of fresh fruit wafts through the air.

“At least they feed me eh?” he asks the creature, looking at it with the same faint smile. He seems to grow more and more comfortable as he slowly sets in on the bead and cheese, tearing the hunk of meat in half and holding out half to the beast. He doesn't look at the large creature, simply continues to eat while waving the meat gently. He knows it would be better to lay it on the ground but as he wants to test a theory about how much the beast trusts him he keeps it in his hand. The slab of meat is about the same size and as he begins gnawing on the other half he hums softly, letting his mind wander to keep himself calm. 'Animals can tell when you're tense and that can make them tense, so if I wanna keep my hand I should at least do a little something to keep the peace'
“Oh, Powers. . .” Seishu mutters, looking to the door as he feels familiar energy heading towards him. 'Oh, well, this will either go really well, or very badly. . .' Hoping for the best, something he's not use to doing, Seishu take a slow breath as the door flies open and an over excited set of critters come rushing in. Without hesitation Rasha flies through the air, landing all four paws on his chest and nuzzling under his chin with his furry little head. The fur becomes hair however as Rasha slips into his human form to cling to the male's chest. Seishu chuckles, hugging him back the best he can while Crios remains busy with one of his arms.

Rasha purrs and whines and with a soft sigh Seishu extracts every last bit of negative energy he can before the tailed creature is replaced with the much more timid but no less enthusiastic dark haired minion. Rasha perches on the edge of the bed watching as Seishu regains his other arm just in time to take Inui into a full hug and temper that ever growing pit of darkness inside the little red eyed beauty. Everyone in the room lets out a small breath as the level of negative energy pounding into them from the little guy drops to a small blip. He begins pouring out all of his worries and thoughts he had while Seishu was gone, and how worried he's been over everyone, including Rue.

The fairy hears this an flinches before apologizing to Seishu about not being able to stay with Enasi. Motioning the little guy over the Nightmare Guardian smiles gently, toughing his cheek and drawing out all the negative he can find before murmuring, “Go on now. You've seen me, and I'm fine. If he wants to argue, he can take it up with me when he can actually drag his ass over here.” Rue giggles lightly, brushing a hand over Inui's shoulder before racing out of the room to deliver the message. Inui blushes deeply before burying his face in Seishu's shoulder.

“That was my job while you were gone My Lord Seishu!” Rasha says brightly and the guardian chuckles.

“I am sure you did a more than satisfactory job, thank you Rasha.” The dream glows happily, laying down next to Inui and cuddling him from behind. However once Harper speaks up it is clear to the guardian that this position will not be able to be maintained for long.

Crios nods slowly. “He is alright. He has a new set of wounds he assures me will heal more quickly than the ones he arrived with, and were apparently inflicted by loving. . .babies. . .” Inui chuckles and on a whim bites down on Seishu's shoulder. The guardian chuckles at the shocked look on the minion's face as he slowly lets go with his teeth, a confused look on his face.

“It's a natural act you never had the option to use before. What you are feeling is normal.” he murmurs, watching as Inui clings on to his guardian even closer, a rush of bonding feelings tumbling through him. Crios rolls his eyes, muttering something about nightmare denizens being weird. The doctor finishes packing up his stuff, leaving things he'll need later on a rolling tray and looks to the obviously still upset rabbit man. I takes only a simple glance from Crios for the little ones to realize they have to leave and with one last group hug they follow the foxy doctor out. Seishu watches them go with half a smile. Taking the seat normally used by his guardian Harper rolls it over next to the bed, taking a seat slowly, and propping his head up on his paws.

He doesn't even need to ask, the both of them knowing what is laying heavily on the second's mind. Without preamble Seishu starts from the moment they arrived in his realm, not leaving anything out, filling in all the little tidbits he can of life on the other side of the veil. Harper for his part listens silently, looking every now and again like he may want to say something, but he manages to keep himself quite through the entire tale. His continence tightens as he reaches the point involving the injuring of his guardian and he is unable to look at Seishu from there until the end when they return to the dream realm.

He takes his time, processing it all. He is highly disturbed at the happening with Enasi of course, but other aspects have him quite out of sorts and he would not be afraid to admit, terrified. 'If that whole bit with that Jentou is any indication, Seishu is going to be in hell for quite a long time after all of this. We have no idea how many he's going to have to “reform” and that may very well. . .But that is an issue for another day. . .' Looking back up he looks at Seishu with a stony expression free of judgment, for now. 'Both he and Lord Enasi insist that Seishu is not at fault here, and in truth I have to agree, but then why? Why am I feeling so strange. I. . .I don't even think I am angry at him, I just. . .'

He blinks. His arms drop slowly as he stands, making his way even closer to the guardian. Without waiting for Harper to ask Seishu smiles and reaches out a hand to his chest. The extraction takes an enormous weight off of the general but before Seishu can pull back his hand Harper takes hold of it, looking at it like it's some alien thing he does not recognize. Before the bunny has the chance to say anything however Seishu murmurs, “Yeah, That thing you think I left off? That little niggle in the back of your brain? I can't really tell you, though I told Doc to keep him from refusing to move me until I explained myself. I think it's Enasi's place to tell you why you feel so funny right now. I can however promise it's not a bad thing.” Spike comes skittering out from under Seishu's pillow and stars running across his hair playfully as Harper steps back, waiting for someone to return before he heads out to talk to his guardian.
Akito glances up for a moment to see the prince smiling before his looks back to his food. 'I would find my actions kind of endearing if it wasn't for the fact that I would have defended the craft no matter who it was that was being talked down upon. I never knew there were people out there who were so close minded on the subject of the magical arts. . .Well, that's not true. . .' Several soldiers who'd never met magic users on the battlefield, or those who only saw it as a weapon and nothing more. They had always confounded Aki, and now knowing the emperor himself may very well be one of those men the young soldier can feel his agitation grow.

However as the silence stretches on, another thing he will have to get use to since in his old life there were almost always at least some voices present even if they were distant, Akito can feel his calm returning. He watches Hoko eat with a calm smile, petting the beasts soft back when it shifts to grab more food. When the empress turns and poses her question he freezes for a second before actually trying to figure out how to answer. He has his favorite colors of course, but would any of them actually suit a wedding? However before he can even reply the royal family seems to have a very tame is heart felt argument.

Hoko joins him in watching the flow of conversation, though the beast for different reasons than the human. The little critter has been around humans all his life and he recognizes when there is the potential for a fight that he will either have to be in, or flee from. Akito on the other hand is simply lost for the most part, trying to make sense of what they are ll talking about. Until it clocks. His eyes return to his food and he eats slowly, realizing that this is none of his business. 'All of this may have thrown me, but I am willing to go through with it, without question, because it is what I know is right for the kingdom. . . .At least, that is what has always worked, so I trust in that. I may not be the right choice in my own head, but. . .'

It isn't until Hiro practically storms out that the soldier looks back up, watching his betrothed leave. Hoko slithers back under his obi, full tot he brim with food and now intent on a nice long sleep. The empress lets out a small disappointed noise and is about to bring up the idea of colors again however she pauses as Akito rises to his feet. “Just let him be lad. He gets like this sometimes. You'll get use to it.” The emperor says dismissively, tucking into his food again. Akito simply nods vaguely and wanders down the table until he's standing across from his father. “Captain, may I speak with you?” The general, who'd overheard everything of course, nods and stands.

The two bow to the royals and wait to be excused. The emperor looks like he wants to say something, but at a look from his wife he motions for them to go. Once the two are out of the room the emperor lets out a long sigh, his wife stroking his arm gently. “It's okay dear, I'm sure the boy just has something important to talk about that's for family only.”

“We are going to be family soon!” He replies, watching the corner they vanished around.

“He hardly knows us dear. Give him some time. You already have more in common that he and Hiro. . .” The emperor interrupts here there.

“And another thing, I though he was over all that foolishness! And bringing it up with Moronaga right here.” He goes on to rant for several long minutes while his wife dutifully pats his arm and offers her opinion when and where she can. She does not fully agree with him, and says so, but in the end she knows he's just blowing off steam.

~*~*~*~*~

The two men walk slowly down the hallways, their passage only marked by a low murmur coming from the smaller one and a few short glances from the servants they pass. Quietly, in a voice only his father can hear, Akito pours out his thoughts, feelings, and tells the man everything that has happened in the short times they've not seen each other, both in the morning, and the time just before lunch. The general listens silently, keeping his eyes on the floor as he takes it all in, letting his mind conjure the images of the encounters to his head.

'He grew up in such a way that any time he's not surrounded by his comrades he has to be on high alert least someone try and kill him. He has no one to protect him here, though eventually I suppose that would be his husband's place. As a magic user, perhaps he can teach the boy to use it for more than pretty light shows, but for now, I understand. . .I at least had a childhood. One away from war and combat. . .' He lets out a soft sigh as Akito finishes his tale, glancing over at his adopted son with a sad kind of look. Carefully he reaches out and takes hold of Akito's shoulder, stopping him.

The boy is tense, his body tuned up like an over wound spring. Just standing still seems too much for him as he trembles slightly. Before he can flee however the sound of metal on wood fills his ears and draws his attention away from his own internal turmoil. Without a though his own sword is clear of it's scabbard and the two men fall into a fighting stance. From down the hall a servant spots the scene, racing forward to ask them to take it to the training ground but after only a few steps he pauses. Their movements are slow, smooth, almost like a dance, and every time it looks like the blades are about to touch the stop, barely a millimeter apart.

This old practice has long been used as a morning routine for most of the unit and Akito has never missed a session, except, of course, this morning. The familiarity washes through him, relaxing his body, and for the first time today he feels at home surrounded by all the decadence and high class finery. When at last they come to a stop, the captain taking the practice victory, both blades clock back onto their sheathes and the two share a moment of complete silence. As soon as the moment passes the captain turns to the servant and offers a slight bow. “Sorry if we disturbed anyone.” Captain Kaura murmurs softly, earning a squeak and a vigorous head shake from the servant who returns the bow and races off to continue her duties.

As the servant vanishes from sight and the general straightens up he smiles warmly as Aki takes hold of him from behind, his face buried against his foster father's back. Ever since he was little, Akito was never one for directed affection, almost going catatonic whenever anyone hugged him directly, a look of terror in the back of his eyes. Kaura figures it has something to do with the death of his parents but has never had the heart to ask, or even try and break him from it. He simply lets Akito take the comfort he needs and doesn't press for more. 'I must talk to the prince about this however. He came close when they left the forest, but apparently it was off to the side enough not to lock him up'

When at last Akito lets go his father turns around, taking his shoulders in his hands and giving them a nice squeeze before letting them go and motioning them to continue. As the youth falls into step beside the taller male he murmurs, “I don't know what to do about the overreactions though. I mean, it's how I've always been, you know? Even more than the rest of the guys. . .”

The general nods. “I know. It's what made you great at your job actually. But you've been able to control it before. Remember that family with the small child that kept grabbing at Hoko's tail while you were trying to check for raiders out the window?”

Aki nods, he remembers. He also remembers, being terrified each and every time and only being able to stop at the sight of those wide, bright, wondering eyes looking up at him so intently. 'Maybe I had a younger sibling after all. . .It felt a little familiar. . .' Letting out a long hiss of breath he looks down the hall. “So I just need to imagine the man I am to marry as a wide eyed snot nosed little runt. . . .That should do wonders for our budding relationship. . .” The general laughs aloud, quieting quickly as the sound begins echoing through the halls and drawing a few curious eyes. Aki manages a smile smile at his father's mirth but as Kaura pats him on the back, rubbing it gently he hangs his head in utter defeat.
I'm interested. I'm a patient person :P You get yourself feeling better and take all the time you need. *Smile*
Amano manages to hide the shiver at his title, smiling warmly up at the demon and nodding. “I agree. We are done here for the day.” Turning back to the captain he tells the man where he can be found before bidding him farewell.

The captain scribbles down the address and waves the boy off distractedly as he heads to the kitchens. Getting down on his hands and knees with a grunt he looks over the problem mentioned an sighs. “Kid's thorough and not afraid to get dirty. Gotta hand him that. . .” He mutters with a smirk.

Meanwhile Amano begins fretting over that very thing as he looks down at his now slightly soiled outfit. “I suppose I did a bit more crawling around than I intended hm?” he half laughs at himself, doing his best to brush away some of the filth. “Yea, that sounds good, thank you Illiendi.” he murmurs absentmindedly as he continues trying to get off at least a little of the dust and dirt. His stomach rumbles lightly and he flushes at the sound. “Perhaps something to eat is in order.”
Heheheheh, something like that :P
As he had raced around the shop Rei had noticed how the prince spoke with the younger of the two males in the shop, low quiet whispers that even his sharp ears could not always catch even if he'd been listening intently, which of course he wasn't. However as he looks to the man, now glaring daggers at him, the little fae wonders if he should have been paying attention. 'It feels safe in here, but this man is obviously upset. Did the prince do something to upset him? Or did he not appreciate my search style. I did act out a bit. Perhaps I should try next time to be a little more careful. I normally only see any given bookkeeper once every three months so I have little need to be anything but thorough and swift'

However as they approach the counter Rei comes to recognize the daggers from the eyes of affronted lover he's worked for and his confusion mounts to a whole new level. He doesn't understand the feelings, but he recognizes them as quite dangerous in the right context. This man however is quite harmless so instead of apologizing for disturbing the store as he intended he remains silent and just watched the two humans. The feeling of the prince's hand on his head makes him once again recall that he may very well be just a pet to the man but as he once more has to stop himself from tugging his gloves off with his teeth the thought slips back into his mind and his focus goes to not embarrassing Alessandro.

He watches the young shopkeeper bundle up the books, his eyes returning to their normal dull state. The change gives Fred a moment of pause as he hands the smaller male his wrapped books but it is hardly noticeable to anyone not use to seeing it. Holding the books tight the fae focuses on keeping his hands occupied with them, hoping his urge to pull off the offending clothing will die down as they leave the relative safety of the shop. Glancing at the front window he notices a line of guards standing sentry and he nods approvingly inside his head.

'Even with the possible dangers from the palace, these guards at least know how to disrupt a sniper's view' He ignores the rest of the exchange up until the man says something about leaving Rei behind when the prince visits again. He turns slowly to face the man, locking eyes with him dangerously before turning to follow the prince out. The young man felt the chill from the look but is still far too upset with the fae to take heed of it, mumbling something about Rei being rude and interfering. 'I should check him out later. People in love do crazy things. . . .' Once outside he lets the guards hurry them into the carriage, but not before taking one last hard look around the area.

He can still feel touches here and there of familiar eyes however as none are active he slips inside without a word. He's ridden under a carriage, on the back of one, atop one, and even between the horses pulling a carriage, but he's never ridden inside one. Before he can even get a good look at the interior they are off and he flashes his teeth. Being inside a moving box is not his idea of a comfortable ride. Setting the books down he plasters himself f to a window, trying to get his mind and body to settle by watching the movement as well as feeling it. The muted rumbling and rattling from the wheels on the road is a new set of sounds and they make his ears hurt a bit.

After only a minute however he pries himself from the window and sits down across from the prince, finally tugging his gloves off. Taking slow, soothing breaths he finally gets his ears to mute out the rumbling sounds allowing him to relax a bit. Looking to the prince he tilts his head cutely. 'Human ears are duller than ours. I bet it is little more tan a faint hum. He has grown up with the sounds as well. I do not like this box, but if need be, I can get use to it' “Do you travel like this often?” he asks, wondering how often he should expect to be subjected to this experience.
Daaawwww, I so look forward to the cuteness!

Rei: Well. . . .This is new. . . .
That looks quite adorable and badass at the same time :P I like it! Let's do something like that!
