Writing is a fickle process. Sometimes you're not sure what to put down, sometimes you write way more than you ever intended.

Boom! Got it done, hope it's okay.

@CleverUsername

Yeah, I intended for a sort of 'dropoff' box where people could leave their things.

I'll have my CS up shortly, putting the finishing touches on now!
@CleverUsername

Is it okay to have my character own a Swap Shop? She has this sort of witch/knowledge-filled individual air about her and I thought it'd be neat. Not sure how you'd want to handle loot, but it'd also be a way for people to trade out stuff for different gear aside from selling it. For a small fee, of course. Heeheehee.
Will read over everything and get to work on my sheet tomorrow. Unfortunately caught me right as I was about to go to bed, lol
Dakota Rhett

November 29th? - Proving Grounds

Dakota's stomach felt a bit uneasy, seeing the horrific creatures come back into view from their more humanlike shells. Jacket easily weighed down enough by swaying chains, their returned gusts were boasts that didn't phase him the same way they had back with Pondwater. However, as their attacks came his way, it brought all those panics back. A startled yelp was what came out of brave little Dakota in response, falling flat to the ground and finding a few of his out-of-place hairs getting a too close for comfort trims as the crescent blades flew overhead, crashing into the entertainment hall. Startled, but not wanting to let anyone down, he wondered why the giant bird of his wasn't doing anything. "Hey, Thamyris?! Fight the guys?"

"Fighting alone would simply cause us to be torn apart," It informed succinctly. "Our combined effort and strategy will be the only way to prevail!"

Eyes nearing bulging out of his head as he pushed himself up, he grew more worried. "You sayin' I've gotta go fight 'em, too?!" Getting a nod in response, he glanced towards the Shaxes, suddenly feeling like he had the stinking end of the deal. "Dang it... I thought it'd be like Pokémon or something, at least!" His complaints didn't have time to sit, as these demons didn't waste time with exposition. Rather, they raked more of those crescent-shaped attacks his way, which he attempted to dart left to avoid but ended up getting his torso sliced, the spark of pain and spurt of blood causing him to become a lot more alert. "Gah! D-Dia again, doitdoitdoit!"

Thamyris, above him, rained the healing spell down and stopped his bleeding almost immediately, but brought a complaint with it. "This is no game! Keep sharp, and press forward, or else you'll end up in pieces!"

Swearing in his mind, Dakota let out a grunt of annoyance but knew he didn't have much choice. "Alright, fine!" He spoke in frustration, gripping his mic stand tighter. He couldn't let Barney do all the fighting, and he didn't want these things catching up to the guys, either. Trying to rebuild the confidence he thought he'd had, his mind defaulted to a one-liner as he accepted he'd have to fight. "Let's rock!"

Though trying to keep a brave face, his original idea of rushing the Shaxes would have to wait; A burning creature approaching, A Buer, not that he'd recall, sent him on high-alert. Although with it's approaching speed, he wasn't quite sure on how to handle the situation. That being said, if he was the host and Thamyris was his fighting spirit, then he couldn't afford to be turned into a crisp directly. His thoughts willing his Persona, Thamyris stood in front of Dakota and brought his arms out wide, talons at the end of each slamming into the Buer as it got close and stopped it cold in it's tracks, despite sliding backwards slightly. It's flames burned, and Dakota felt that pain directly, even if his body wasn't getting flayed.

Trying to use such pain as motivation, he reacted with an obvious intent of getting it the hell away. twisting it's arms, Thamyris spun the Buer in place with a strong movement, before delivering a firm upwards kick that sent the lion-head soaring upwards. Not nearly enough to destroy it, but it allowed for a moment of breathing room, which brought the Shaxes to Dakota's attention. No way in hell he was dealing with those projectiles again, deciding to take the breather as a chance to push forward.

Traversing by Dakota's own thoughts, Thamyris went high while he stayed earthbound. This distracted the Shaxes enough to split their attention, Dakota taking advantage by rushing towards the one that craned itself upwards to focus his airborne Persona. Deciding to not hit it with full force, he instead brought his mic stand out, catching the Shax by it's neck and tugging it sideways, causing it to stumble to regain balance, but also causing it's attention to fully be on him again. Which was just as planned.

Having cut the view between him and the farther Shax, it let out a sound of annoyance, but Dakota had no time for it. Gesturing his hand out with his fingers spread but pointed forwards, it tightened and resembled a claw. "Shred it, Thamyris!"

The farther Shax was met with a arm-crossed Persona descending upon it with one leg extended, crashing into it and crumpling it's neck downwards, it's body getting crushed against the ground. The pressure caused it to pop like a balloon, splattering into a bunch of shadowy mass than slunk away into nothingness. A victory in close-range against the weaker ranged attacker, but being close didn't mean they were out. Dakota had to block with his weapon as the second Shax lashed out at him, the boy quickly retreating backwards to gain a little room as he didn't realize just how aggressive these things could be up close.

It would have been the perfect opportunity to side-wind it, but before Dakota's eyes, Thamyris suffered a similar fate to demon it had crushed. The Buer barreled down from the sky and crashed into his Persona, slamming it into the ground as it's fiery body caused even more damage. This caused Dakota to plummet backwards, reeling from pain passed to him, which for a moment kept him away from the Shax, but didn't stop the building pain from the flames. He had to think quickly, but burning without even being on fire caused immense stress, and made even the most meager of planning extremely difficult.

However, a piece of his arsenal he hadn't tried yet came to mind. He'd heard it before, back when Thamyris mentioned their power. He practically cried out for his Persona to use that spell, whatever it might do, as long as it punished the Buer trying to turn them to ash. "Garu!"

Having been guarding itself with it's arms, Thamyris took the command and quickly rolled with it. Bringing it's arms forward, talons on both ends smashed into the Buer, knocking it far enough for Thamyris to glide itself back and away from the ground. It began to rise upwards as soon as it had the room, mighty wings swinging forward and summoning forth a magical wind directly on the Buer; The air surrounding the demon shifting as powerful gusts of wind tore at it from all directions, causing it to violently shake about as the flames on it's head were momentarily extinguished, the creature's face torn from the sheer force Thamyris' winds.

"Hell yeah!" Dakota cheered, but was quickly interrupted by the Shax in front of him coming in to take a bite of his hand, recoiling it not being enough to stop it's long neck from barging forth to try and tear him apart. Dakota brought his mic stand up to smack it aside, but it simply began to twist around his weapon, causing a momentary panic that luckily brought Thamyris his way: The Persona grabbing the Shax by one of it's wings, before jamming a talon into it's eye. The creature shook and screeched from pain, which gave Dakota enough of a chance to stand, wanting revenge himself. Tightening his grip, he prepped his weapon as Thamyris kicked the Shax forward, the creature still screeching from it's eye and not having much of a chance to react as Dakota took a cold, hard swing and bashed it, causing a second Shax to turn into more shadowy goop.

Breathing heavily, Dakota felt victorious in a sense, but knew he was forgetting something in his seconds of relaxation. That Buer, still plenty alive, had flared up and reeled back towards Thamyris again, this time bashing the Persona in the back, which smacked the directly into Dakota before disappearing, leaving the boy to roll backwards far enough to literally end up back with Barney, his stop ending with him on his shoulders, tipping backwards one more time to end laying on his stomach, groaning in agony with his weapon laid off to the side.

"Christ," He managed to grumble, tilting his head to look towards the demon preparing itself again. "Thamyris, you got another Dia? Or two...? Maybe three?"

His Persona reappeared above him, managing to give him a singular heal, which did not fully heal his tingling skin from the feeling of flames, or his aching neck from the rolling bullshit he just endured. "If we excessively heal, we won't be able to fend off anything with spells." Thamyris informed. "I'd suggest sucking it up and finishing this quickly."

At least well enough to stand, Dakota wasn't pleased by this at all. "That's a pain in the ass response! What happened to heeding my command, or whatever?" Not getting a response, he assumed this was a method for his Persona to say that it'd be wiser to use Garu instead of fully healing. But he wasn't the one in pain here! Or was he? Dakota wasn't sure if his Persona could actually feel pain, or if it was all being transferred to him. For now, he decided to give up on arguing about it, instead wanting revenge on the creature that knocked him over.

"Hey, so far so good, yeah? We're alive." He spoke to Barney, noting that they'd managed to cut down the ranks halfway. Leaving two of those fast Buer's, and one of those annoying Shaxes left. And Dakota already knew one of those Buer's had signed their death sentence. Knowing there wasn't much time for chatter, he picked up his mic stand and took a deep breath. They were getting through this, and before long they'd catch up with the others. He just had to man up and keep fighting for now, if he ever wanted out of here.

He felt like he'd probably sleep a few days after all this was over, even with the healing the mental exhaustion from this madness was going to make him crash hard.
Been mulling over old ideas that have been sitting in Google Docs forever and have finally decided on

Absolutely.

But the bright side to this is Herissmon can't have Agumon doubting himself if they're going to be butting heads, so he better not start a pity party before a battle is lost or he'll make them both look bad!
Very true lmao, he's already leaving bad impressions and I doubt that will stop.

Fortunately for him Reina is also great at leaving bad impressions, so maybe they'll cancel each other out.
I'm more on the quiet side usually OOC, but make no mistake; I'm reading everything and loving it. Looking forward to seeing both the new character and the next world update.

LOCATION:The Maw
WORD COUNT: 1,431 (+3)
MENTIONS: A lot of people.

Upon starting his initial run, Mirage noticed Geralt's dive to the floor almost immediately. The first thing to run through his mind was panic that he'd just died on the spot, but then he recalled that Geralt hadn't eaten at all yet and he was probably exhausted. Curse or not, he might die if he pressed any further without food, so he'd need to get something in his stomach before they pressed too far forward. The defenseless of his previously death-dealing friend was more than inspirational to continue on the offensive however. And that inspiration was only fueled further as Mirage closed in and saw King Bowser get plonked on the head, and transformed much like Bella had moments ago.

"Gah! Hold on, I'm coming!" Fully aware Bowser could do nothing but hold on, he beat himself up for his choice of words, only to find the fight quickly turning in their favor. To his utter shock, the chef that had just died came back in spectral form, absolutely devastating their opposition along with a barrage of pans being tossed through the air. Not having time to question this, he simply took advantage of the chaos to get up close and personal. The closest one being his target, given it as still alive and Bowser remained a freshly-presented food item. The knocked down Wizard, as if it hadn't gotten enough between the pans and Larry's ghostly attack, was promptly blindsided by a yelling Mirage that brought his frying pan down upon it's head, the shrimp not exactly making for a durable body caused the center of it's head to sink downwards from the strike, though it showed signs of life as it's crushed eye tried to see what was happening. Wanting to stamp that life out, Mirage kept swinging, and soon found he wasn't alone, especially after Bowser (thankfully) transformed back to normal.

Add on Blazermate carrying in Ace and Nadia, and the whole gang had managed to get back together to lay a beatdown on these food-fools. After running for so long, actually winning combatively felt good. A helplessness he felt before began to disappear, and the victory they found both over the chefs and these wizards made him feel pretty pumped as a light in the darkness the Maw had placed on his shoulders. Breathing heavily, the two spirits on the ground were a reward for their efforts, though he wasn't quite sure what to do with them himself. He definitely did not want to fuse with one, as becoming partially-food after what he witnessed before was... Not ideal. Not that he thought Bella would eat him, or anything, but... A paranoia was there.

Trying to avoid that topic, Mirage simply left the Spirits to the others, in exchange for trying to raise the team's spirits with a little joy. "Didn't you guys just arrive at the most heroic moment!" He commented towards the recently arrived trio, offering a thumbs' up with his free hand towards Ace, Nadia, and their big 'ol robotic pal. It was a relief to see them, and it meant something very special, despite a a few members of the group having issues at the moment. "We actually won, and we're all still here! That's teamwork, yeah?"

As it seemed the trio that were downstairs had found a way forward, Mirage quickly made his preparations to get going in regards to getting a little more to eat, and anything else he needed to do. One in particular was to approach Blazermate in particular, as he was still hurting from having to beat himself back from Larry not long ago. "Got a little beat up," He explained with an amazing lack of detail, though it was proven by his face. "Help a guy out?" He pleaded in an almost comical sense, small grin on his face.

As for food... After Mirage got his head taken care of, he addressed that next. "Yeah, she's right." He added to Peach's comment about no meat, reaffirming it was a bad idea if Bella's words didn't help already. "I think I know the trigger, too." He looked down shamefully, noting that feeling from the taste of blood earlier. He was okay for the moment, but he was afraid of it happening again. "The blood from the butcher. The scent of it almost drove me nuts, I had to beat myself back before anything happened." It was, at the very least, an explanation for why he hadn't helped in the heat of the moment. He looked towards Bella for a moment, feeling shameful he hadn't jumped in to stop her. "Probably only had the chance to back away from it because I haven't eaten much. I'm just spectating-- Spectac--" He fumbled his words, before deciding to just explain it less fancily. "--Taking a wild guess." He concluded, changing topics to Geralt.

Approaching the boy, Mirage had a small frown of concern as he reached a hand out and placed it onto Geralt. "You hearin' any of this, bud? Don't eat much, but... We've gotta get you something before ya bite it." Unsure if the boy could ever hear him, he couldn't help but joke a little. "Guess I was half-right about the eternal hunger thing, but if we just get him a decent little portion of food he could at least walk, right?" Pondering for a moment, he snapped his small fingers in realization. "Not meat, huh? There's some cheese downstairs, in the mousetraps. Sounds bad, I know, but I definitely want more of that. Maybe we can get some for Geralt, too?"

Walking towards the stairs as it was time to get the hell out of here, Mirage decided he'd make a pitstop to get more cheese. Anyone who wanted a bit of goodness from the mousetraps were free to follow and ask for him to work his dart magic on another trap, the goggle-head expecting to possibly need to get some for Geralt anways. All he took for himself was one more glob. He chowed it down, not worrying about the seafood guy as he seemed rather passive in all of this. But after what had happened, who wouldn't? It was good to see that maybe at least one person around here wasn't absolutely insane. Though, speaking of non-insane individuals, where had their little behind-bars friend go? He was afraid to ask, so kept his concern quiet. Instead just waving off Fujimoto with a warning of "Just keep it that way!" instead of giving him any real issue. Another soul proven to possibly be not entirely bad, despite their position inside the Maw. Though this was was fully flesh, not a machine like before. Or a copied mind in a machine.

Thinking about his other self, Mirage slumped a little as he walked along.

Following Nadia through the hole that lead them closer to their goal, Mirage was surprised by how massive it felt compared to the other side of the wall. If anything was to make him feel small, this was definitely it. Though, his moment of gawking was interrupted by Nadia, who pointed out a very familiar threat they all wanted vengeance on. Agreeing with Nadia's suggestion, he nodded. "We're almost out of this, we gotta get up there after her!" With his agreement vocalized, he booked it for the stairs. Tiring as it was, the pick-me-up he grabbed on the way out helped, though he was still not feeling great after the whole ordeal. "Man, I haven't felt tired from exercise like this since I first decided to start training for the Games..." He complained, huffing out a sigh of relief due to at least reaching the top.

Taking a look out into the strange theater-like area, Mirage felt like this might be an easier place to avoid detection than some of the others. The stage was the main attraction, right? All they had to do was stay in the dark and keep away from there, and they could creep through without a ton of issues. Though, who's to say that these folks would even eat them? They looked quite disgusting in one way or another, with the large-gut crocodile carrying some regal flare, but none of it meant they were particularly hostile. Better to not find out, he figured.

As he waited for everyone to gather, Mirage made an obvious observation. "Unsurprising she disappeared." He wondered if one of those dark figures was actually her hiding in some fashion, she hadn't really raised a hand to fight to begin with after all. So for all they knew she was pretty defenseless on her own.
