History: It is obvious by looking at Kiki, or Matthew Turner as his name really is, that he wasn't born in South Africa. Though he hasn't told anybody, and it would be impossible to know without hearing his voice, he's originally from England. He began growing up as a normal boy with a love of climbing things and learning. But that soon changed. It was a typical day in second grade, his class had just come in from eating lunch outside. That's when the man dressed in black came in. In an instant everything went to hell. The man killed their teacher and four students before anybody could stop them. Along with giving light injuries to six others, and seriously wounding two. One of which was Kiki.
Kiki spent an agonizing year in the hospital recovering. During that time he learned three very important things. The first was that he would never be able to speak again. The second was Sign Language. And the third was that man had done it because the teacher was an
ex-girlfriend and he wasn't entirely right in the head. The blade the man used was kept as evidence until the trials were over and he was sentenced to death. Then Kiki requested it so he could remember what had happened to him. They let him have it and he's always carried it around with him since them.
Once he recovered, his parents, who felt guilty that the whole thing had happened and didn't want to have to look at their mangled son, shipped the boy off to South Africa to go live with some relatives who were missionaries. Not much changed growing up after that. He still climbed, he still learned, he still matured. He was just a little lonelier without his parents or friends.
Current Equipment: A small backpack that contains a notebook and a pen so that he can communicate with people who don't know sign language, a half full pocket sized lighter, and a reuseable water bottle that's just been refilled. He also has with him a dagger that he's kept since he was in grade school. It just so happens to be the one that took his voice.
